I bought a Del-ton in 2015. I drove to the range, took it out of the box, aimed, controlled my breathing, and hit the bullseye with my first shot at 100 yards. Where can you go from there? I boxed my rifle up and went home. In my experience, Del-ton is one of the best rifles you can buy, and a very quiet brand. Examine the bolt carrier group closely and you will notice that parts are staked; you often don't see this on rifles costing much more. I am an extremely satisfied customer. So much so that when Elizabethtown was heavily flooded some years ago, I put the company and their employees on my prayer list.
I've had many quality AR accessories come with YFS fasteners, so I'm definitely reassured of their quality. Delton's chrome-lined FSB barrels are a good value to me, especially with no tax and free shipping promos!
I bought a delton 20" upper kit with bcg and charging handle years ago and its my favorite gun to shoot at the range. Its the only gun i have that likes m855 and shoots lights out with it. I slapped it on a carbine lower to make a poor mans c7a2 and it works great. I did put a springco yellow spring in it for the lighter loads. Those rifle length gas systems are so fun to shoot. Then when i use my handloaded 55gr soft points... its like shooting a 22. Those soft points are hitting at 3150 out of a 20" so i bulk load them for just in case ammo. Ive heard people have had some issues with delton and i think they need to improve their QC but I have had zero problems with mine, its a sample of 1 but id definately buy another. I think i payed $250 for the upper and $129 for the dpms lower back in the day. $379 for a rifle that has been rock solid through 2k rounds. What more can you ask for. Ive spent alot more money and gotten alot less. Ive got a buddies DD mk18 in my house right now that we cant get running... hate to know what he paid for this thing during covid. Love the channel.
Another good video....FYI my colts( one complete upper and one colt barrel) are both over gassed.......had to add sprinco blue spring and H3 buffer on one and an ez tune gastube with slightly heavier spring and buffer ......now good ejection pattern......either you got lucky on your colts or I was unlucky.
Well you know the 3 I’ve had all 3 seemed gassed fine. I assume your colt stuff is new colt? How old is it? Did u try to contact colt? I’m just curious as to what they said
@THEPAGUNGUY Both were new Colts ( one complete upper and 1 barrel.) 16 inch m4 cut. Mfg date is 2016 on both.I did not contact Colt, I really didn't think about it at the time.
I recommend him to get a H2 buffer and sent him a link for it. He had a few jams w LC M855 I believe it’s cause the ammo is hot and the guns already over gassed.
I'm gonna try this again bc my last comment was removed but yea...might need a better spring in it too...springco or something...over gas failures are a pain ...seems like they can come and go and you start chasing the issue around in circles
I would agree it even ejected a case strait up the rail. I recommended he get a H2 buffer he prob could get a H3 I was really surprised how over gassed it was.

Always had good luck with them, I’ve got one of their uppers and it has been quality.

Looks like a nice rifle for the money! Well put together
Oh, this looks good, I was thinking of buying a DelTon upper in 1:9 lightweight barrel 20" barrel. Make up a mix up of an M16A1 and M16A2 clone.

@@TheJames762oh crap so that’s old colt too interesting I was expecting you to say you got it since they returned sales to the civilian market
I was ab to say it is a little rowdy...could prolly use an h1 or 2 in it...i wouldn't mind having one of these for a beater or trainer

My reply to your comment keeps getting removed and idk why

Good value or entry brand. And not woke mgmt like Colt Industries.
That rifle looks incredibly over gassed. Loose handguard screws as well. Not a great sign
