I'm a normal guy taking a look at firearms. Lots of surplus but some new firearms. I offer a true unbiased opinion on new and surplus firearms and some of the people that sell them. Everything I bring on the channel has been purchased by me there's no free firearms for a good review all my videos are honest opinion.

Congratulations my brother!
I'm thinking about doing a paratrooper build. I would like to cut the barrel and pin and weld a muzzle device that accepts a can.
I run suppressed, so yes I need to 😂
Sounds like a lot of broke talk
PSA is just as good. It's your entry level AR 15. Standard mil spec, staked, fwd asst, dust cover, flash hider. All in a name!
Sell that piece of shit.
You were very lucky to have gotten it in gray. I actually envy you. Now all you need is an E type butt stock for it and you'll be good to go...
I got a few of these and honestly very pleased after a few reloads they fit like butter. It be nice if PSA actually built the rifles as good as the mags. (PSA uses the wrong rivets and have a defective bolt)
Must see the cat. 🙂
No broken firing pins?
Dude complaining about the scuffing up of his buffer lol. If that's your concern you shouldn't be buying $125 BCGs. These are the type of guys that send shit back for having tool marks lol
Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏👍😊
I’m not saying that they shouldn’t improve but if they do improve their QC they might raise the price.
Yea I thought about that as well
I had a guy at the cmp range w like a 300rum w a brake and another guy on my left w like some precision rig w a brake and after ab 10 mins I was literally having a panick attack....my eyes were blurry and I was dizzy...I like ran out of there. Didn't say anything to anyone bc like I couldn't...almost like I was shell shocked.. it was bad
Yea I never really understood the point of muzzle brakes on a 5.56 I put it on this rifle just for this video.
You never mentioned if the o-ring was actually installed on the extractor spring.
I switched to zevia soda products. Like zevia ginger ale is heaven sent. Technically diet but not with normal diet things like aspartame. This is good and I’m happy for you finding your truth. The only thing I disagree with is not the gym and no mention of exercise. Even if it’s once a week. Have to keep your organs maintained and allowing your body to flush out added solutions that’s in everything we eat.
I agree. I stick with the a2 bird cage or warcomp flash hider
I have Smith and Wesson Sport 2 with a Vortex AR red dot .
Do you have a colt lower too or is that another brand
Factory colt please check out my other colt videos if ur interested in what happened w this colt.
I love how you’re just strapped
Always
I bought a Yugo sks in cosmoline years ago that took a case of brake cleaner and a box of rags to get shoot able. You never truly get it all out. When things heat up it liquifies and starts running out of everywhere. The hanging up is your scope mount. The claw mount pinches the receiver just enough that it causes drag. I have the same issue on the Century CETME with a clamp on rail, either let the gun run through it to wear it down or take the rail off. My CETME has a ruptured case vent in front of the rear sight that I modified my rail with a roll pin to hold it from walking off. I don’t know how others feel but I consider the CETME to be a range toy / curio. In SHTF it would be the last gun I would grab. It’s more for taking out with friends to have a turn then putting it back in the safe. They are historically important but other wise irrelevant in modern context.
I actually have not had a malfunction since it was cleaned. 0 malfunctions since I put the scope on. Yes I have acquired a M14 and I just ordered a AR10 so the AR10 will be a go to if I need more firepower
@ it’s too bad that pictures can’t be shared in RUclips comments. I don’t know about other manufacturers specifically or when the change was made. My CETME was made early 2003 from Centuries records and I don’t know if they built it in house or if it was a contract gun. The hole in the top of the receiver in front of the rear sight provided a nice option for anti walk. At the end of the day putting on an optic is more to see how it groups then take it off. For me the appeal is the historical value in the history of post WW2 weapons development so I like the look as issues but that’s the great thing about collecting we can do what we want for our own reasons, just don’t mall ninja your AR 😂
I love the rifle and did the same upgrades. I'm looking for a gray buffer tube, not easy to find it seems.
Colt uses grey buffer tubes. My AR15A4 has one, was thinking of just taking the tube off and painting the end w that paint I had in the video.
@@THEPAGUNGUY I ended up finding the tube at specialized armament and a grey A1 Slip Ring from MilCo. I don't have any paint but I guess that would work too. I'm collecting A1 rifles and want them to at least look like the originals.
I just got one of these rifles from Atlantic Firearms, and I will be reviewing this rifle on my channel I do like your videos on the different guns that you show on your channel, I would like to reference your videos, and I will mention your channel, if you do not mind Mike Thekoba49 channel
No problem scratch that I know who you are I use to watch your channel a good bit but I don’t see anything from you anymore. I just went and looked and I see u still make content…. If u have not please check out my other videos on this gun I think I have 3 and then I have a 500 round update that’s a RUclips short.
@@THEPAGUNGUY thank you, I did see the other videos on this rifle, I just got three of them together in one shipment, I have not even cleaned them yet so the videos will not be uploaded for a few weeks
@@michaeljohns1019I’ll be interested to see what urs look like they assured me they were gonna do better w these. I tell you what I really like mine after I got it all cleaned up and worked on the finish I don’t shoot it a ton but it’s been really reliable and it shoots good about 1.5 inch groups (5 shot) at 100 yards w the 5x optic I put on
A lot of people don’t know is that the a2 charging handle allows a shit ton a gas directed into the shooters face. I don’t like gas in my face
Cope
cheeeziss - forget about the cat and let's hear more about the firearm
Is it a Colt or a PSA? Only Colt knows lol
How’d you get the sling loop on the wire folder?
How is the bolt holding up? How many rds have you fired threw this rifle so far?
But you don’t even train
Get u some 30rd mags foo
Great video ! Thanks !
Thanks for the video. I been looking at the website with the original M16 furniture. I wanna get the nicest set but don’t want the refurbished stuff. The Type D is what I need correct? The rifle looks great by the way. It’s a shame PSA/H&R doesn’t seem concerned with the details.
Yes type D…feel free to call them and tell them what you what and they can get u a nice set together.
@ You ever think about getting a Vietnam Car15 from H&R? It was a toss up between the M16 and Car for my dad. In Vietnam he liberated an AK-47 and later traded it to a LOH scout pilot for his Car15. Some days later some officers liberated the Car15 from my dad and wanted to know the name of pilot he traded with. My dad made some excuse about the pilot having his tinted visor down and not recognizing him. The officers took the Car and pissed off. He probably got played by the pilot. My dad was 20 years old. Anyway he was always bummed about the situation as he didn’t get to take the cool Car on any patrols. As far as the AK goes he got some cool pic with it. I’m not sure what the equivalent PSA H&R Car15 would be. At the time there was only one model of Colt Car15 in service?
@@OhItsThat did u order the M16? Yes all the damn time I think about buying one lol there just so damn expensive and like I said in this video there’s details that are wrong so if u are like me and will wind of fixing them. The cost of the rifle you could build a base BCM for the cost there what 1200 I probably will brake down and buy a carbine I’ve been thinking about it for some time. And I would like to do a video on just the H&R line what they get right what they don’t. Kinda along the lines of this video but on a bigger scale. But I think I should have a bigger sample size I only have 2 H&R rifles at this point. Just wish they were 900 bucks not sure why they need to be over 1100 for a non blem
@@OhItsThat oh yea and about the carbine no I think there was a few there was never a adopted carbine until 1994 with the adoption of the M4 so anything b4 1994 was commercial of the shelf that the air force and special forces bought from colt. No TDP or anything. I think there was a XM177 a XM177E2 I’m not sure if the Car 15 was a different carbine or the same thing just another name. I’m more into the standard infantry rifles like the colt 601, XM16e1, M16A1
@ I haven’t ordered the rifle yet as I wouldn’t be able to pick it up from my FFL right away.
Thank you for the great work on your videos! This is a nice update, and the stamp and sling links are very much appreciated.
Glad you like them! Thanks for your support!
Iv been thinking about buying one of these. But ended up building an aero precision. Still like this one and i own a sport 2
Aero is great my brother in law has like 5 Aero’s he build and he swears by them.
Bad furniture, non-pinned gas block, 4140 barrel steel: just several head scratching decisions to make it slightly worse than similarly priced competitors. Heavy name reliance going on here. It's a no go for me as a dedicated M&P handgun shooter
I wouldn’t necessarily ding them on the furniture most AR MFGs use Mil-Spec Furniture on there ARs from factory including Colt. I agree on the 4140 barrel however if u check out the meltdown videos the barrels actually do very well. As for the non pinned gas block I 100% agree however not sure if u know this but no one really pins there low profile gas blocks. Colt,DD,Geissele are the only ones I can think of the top of my head. You can get a PSA premium with the Geissele pinned gas block. But just about everyone else uses set screws including BCM (not sure about the super high end guys) I’m really not sure why pinned GBs are not more common it doesn’t make sense
Ugly ass ak
So the gas block isn't pinned? Thats a no go for me.
Who pins there low profile gas block besides Colt,DD,Geissele?
@THEPAGUNGUY the fact that they don't for a self defense rifle, unless they have a good solution like Knights, tells me to go elsewhere. Range rifle doesn't matter.
@@markreynolds6715BCM does not pin there gas blocks either so I geuss there trash?
@THEPAGUNGUY I'm not saying they're trash, it's just a failure point if your life is on the line. I have read of one example of their gas block coming loose. I've worked my life as a carpenter. I've learned to take the extra time to do something right. To me they're trying to save a few dollars. There's a reason colt, fn, HK, geisselle, caracal, and others pin the gas block. To bombroof it. Blackout defense doesn't but they do something innovative that's just as good. Even PSA on their geisselle furniture guns are pinned. I've seen too many things fail in mechanical systems when they don't go up to spec. Even ak's are pinned. CMMG on their Dissent is pinned. Pretty sure LMT is too. You got me laughing. Yes I'm anal about this.
Looks pin locked
Yes, PSA forges their own uppers, Spartan Forge is the company they own under the JJE Umbrella ruclips.net/video/51S94ejGbzE/видео.htmlsi=rD_t08pKDM2JlObh
Thanks for the information
Very cool! I scored one of these a few months ago used for $400. It’s in beautiful condition, it’s been fired but pretty much zero wear. A friend of mine inherited a small collection and she didn’t want any of it. I really enjoy your channel man. I love clones and tribute firearms more than the Gucci stuff. If I get my dad that H&R M16A1 I’ll probably get one for myself. I already have the Colt SOCOM M4 GWOT tribute….i call it a “Tribute” because I’m running a AimPoint Comp M4s, GPS 02 Grip Pod, H&R CAR15 stock, Surefire M952V and fugazi Peq that I slap on if I take any pics. Also have an HK SP5 that I turned into a SBR and put can on it. I much rather have firearms that represent something in history Vs a bunch of stuff from Q or something. Still like Q but it’s just a Gucci gun. H&R M16A1, FN M16A4, MK18, M4 Block 2 FSP and a Vietnam era CAR15 are what I’m looking collect in the near future.
Bought a Sport 3 and took advantage of the rebate for the Vortex, added the Magpul CTR stock, Magpul flip ups, Magpul vertical grip, Reptilia grip and sling to mine. I’ve ran Federal 62-64 grain flawlessly.
Yea I just got my strikefire didn’t take to long I just didn’t want to run it on this gun.
How long does it take to ship, just bought one for Black Friday and got the rebate
@ mine took maybe 7-10 days after I entered in my rebate on S&W website.
@@jasonlopez9302yea I don’t remember exactly but it wasn’t long I did mine online and it was about 2 weeks or so
Next up: Why you shouldn’t buy a real ACOG and how this Temu is just as good .
Bonito trozo de historia española el CETME C

These things are a dime a dozen 🤷🏼♂️
Question for you. My dad served in Vietnam in 69-70 in an Air Cav unit. I really want to get him one of these but not sure what model. I’m guessing he was issued the M16A1 and not the XM16E1. He doesn’t remember the manufacturer of his issued rifle but it didn’t have a trap door stock. He says it was black but looking at grainy colored photos it looks like there’s a clearly visible contrast in color between the receiver set and the stock. The stock is clearly black and the receiver set looks like it could be gray. The PSA website doesn’t break it down enough from model to model. They have the M16A1 in all black (was that even a thing in Vietnam?) shown with 20rd mags that only come in the original 1/12 twist. Then the M16A1 shown with 30rd mags in gray with 1/7 or 1/12. Also the XM16E1 has “Quality GI Stock” whatever that is but the M16A1s don’t have that. At the end of the day I wanna get the rifle he was most likely to be issued in 69-70. Not really concerned about the twist rate. I’m assuming the furniture will be cheap sh*t so I’d have to start the search for quality surplus. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
First off it would have definitely been a M16A1 the XM16E1 was phased out in 1968. No the black finish wasn’t done till the mid-late 70s (not sure exactly when) I think even some of the M16A2s in the eairly 80s were grey. What he is saying makes sense the trapdoor on the M16A1 didn’t really come into play till like 1972. The “quality GI stock” means it comes with an actual GI stock. The M16A2s that PSA sells say “quality GI handguard” they come with a GI handguard. Don’t get him a XM16E1 there’s a difference in the lower not sure if you seen it or not. Check out my channel I have other videos on the M16A1 and I have a Video on a company called US Collectors Ordnance they sell Surplus M16A1 furniture I would recommend buying a set from him to replace on the H&R I didn’t really like the PSA stocks sets they seemed kinda cheap and he will probably be able to tell that it doesn’t feel right. I’ll put links in let me know if you need anymore help if you would like a video on something let me know. Tell him I said thanks for his service! ruclips.net/video/lDfmIcSN-Yc/видео.htmlsi=yh9ITCM7yRt7GV3R ruclips.net/video/yP-kE9waKe8/видео.htmlsi=jVmHOfRURpnJIIJz
@@THEPAGUNGUYThanks for the reply. So what rifle would be the closest? Would it be the M16A1 in gray shown with a 30rd mag?
