The thing that I love about people who are Maximalists is that they are fun, artsy, big personalities and they never take themselves to serious, are very intellectual about everything!! So fun!
Hahaha this is so me 100%.
@@HomeBodywithForlisa Same! I do this stuff naturally.
They never take themselves TOO (not TO) seriously.
TOO: Over abundant/
additional. Examples: Too much do get is bad. Don't laugh too hard.
More is more less is a bore this is me to a t.
Exactly for the opposite, minimalist. Straight face and serious
More, more, more and more stuff. Anyone who has viewed her Christmas decoration videos knows she is maximalist at least during the holidays
I said the same! 😂
And that she CANNOT deny! 😂
Holiday is for the maximalists!
Yes, too beautiful color again! No more blahhhhhhh white and grays! So depressing and institutional! Thank you Rebecca!!! You look absolutely stunning in those beautiful colors! Design is so alive with colors that touch our souls!
Thank you Rebecca. As a maximalist this home is not only beautiful, it's eye candy.
The Maximalist home was FABULOUS!
The way Rebecca outfits matches the design style she’s talking about…chefs kiss! Talk about detailed ❤
I was looking for this comment! And didn’t she do it perfectly!
There were a few shots where I saw her pretty face but couldn’t see the rest of her because she blended in so well.😂
Yes, I love her look especially this outfit. ❤
Bunny Williams (one of the best designers ever) is the absolute best at Maximalist Design...
Yes ..! Mario buatta too 🎉
Both are exactly correct!
Iris Apfel!
Omg finally some color it’s so refreshing. Every you tube video showing houses it’s so much white neutral and texture that it to me they all look the same it feels like there is no personality and that there home would be unsellable if they added color. Ps your outfit is absolutely gorgeous on you and your skin everything looks so pretty.
I love the maximalist style, but like every other design style it has to be done right otherwise it's overbearing. These guys blow it out of the ball park, absolutely gorgeous.
While this isn’t my style….. I’m here to see it!! 😍
Lady Rebecca keeps getting prettier & prettier. She looks like a runway model. Yay!!!!!!
LOL… ok… that’s probably too much… I’m trying very hard to turn back the tide of age that takes all of us at some point.
I actually just joined a gym and hired a personal trainer … so 💁🏼♀️ we shall see. Anyway, I appreciate your kind comment.
I may be old… but I’m not dead 😜💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 RR
Great commentary
Maximilian is using every nook and corner to display your art & wealthiest collectibles in a stylish manor ... Designing from that Era where wealth was representative by the show "the Guilded Age or from shows such as the "Downtown Abbey"; are both reminiscent of where magamilism comes from an age where only those born wealth into it existed in it Watch Those
A world of maids, cooks, butlers, footman, a world serviced by the middle classes and the poor but blocked by old money; not easy married into or being easily accepted by this old money standards like in the guilded age
@@rebeccarobeson1 you’re my style icon!
@@rebeccarobeson1I can tell from the first second that your body looks fit
Have always loved and embraced this style. My world is full of color, and every item has a story to tell. And luckily, I actually enjoy dusting! My family has lived in the South since the early 1700s, and I do believe this is a style many Southerners embrace…we are very sentimental about all the pieces we inherit.
It's my heart-felt belief that people who love this style are old souls. 😊 We've lived many lives, in many era's. We can't help but be eclectic in style. Like there's not one look we can cram our soul to fit in ❤
Rebecca baby….I LOVE color….beige and white are just BORING……we aren’t boring…let’s all live and enjoy our stuff….see you are so pretty and the rest of us compensate with our stuff……hugs carolyn
Why didn’t you tell us that you got married….start spilling baby….you look prettier than ever so he must be awesome!!!!
@@carolynratliff1380 That is not a wedding ring. It is one of those health monitoring rings.
YES!! This has been my belief for always!! I’d rather have “old” than “new” and “more is always better” to me… patterns, colors, textures… just make me happy…
This is my kind of home .I will be watching this several times .I am a maximalists
Can't miss this! I love my collections of art, bought from artists I have met. I downsized but can't bring myself to give any more away. Minimalist style will never work for me. My stuff feels like a warm embrace.
It gets to a point that one needs to hold onto those precious pieces as they are likely one of a kind.
Wow.. I loved this home and I'm not a maximalist. So beautifully done it felt 'rich' with taste. I loved the collections and the way they balanced them so well so as not to be cluttered. Also, can I just say your outfit was lovely too!
Yes, in France it's called a commode, you were correct. They must be designers because that house is so well done. It's absolutely beautiful. If I had to choose between minimalism and maximalism, I would definitely be a maximalist. I love having lots to look at.
And I can’t wait FOR you to show the Maximilist style to me!!! Yes, I like rich, opulent things… I love having different rooms with unique moods, and mixing items from different eras. There are just too many pretty things in this world for me to turn my back on them all…
There IS a way to do it right - and then there are those without a vision or a theme. This willing pupil is ready to learn more about the rich, stimulating and comforting elements of Maximilism!!!
Yes! to Maximalism!!! The spaces make me SO happy!
One of my favorite extreme Maximalists is Alidad. Layered, rich color. Thanks for bringing this up because muted homes sometimes feel souless and without character.
Rebecca, love your backdrop wall along with your choice of clothing! Great tie-ins:)))
It took you 17 minutes to say, “Well curated.” Smile. The home was gorgeous!
Rebecca, You look stunning and a lot younger in that jumpsuit🤗. Thank you for showing us this home.
I think, be it minimalism or maximalism, what matters is orderliness, structure and not disarray and cluttered. Its all proportions. All the stuffs should be in good proportions to the size of the room, home, or place. Otherwise its going to be like hoarding.
Great video and your outfit is right on 👍🏽point
Yes, this house is so well done. It takes an artist (or artists) to put this many things together and have everything feel balanced with regard to color, texture and form. Those calming white walls give your eyes some reprieve from the maximalist decor. Although I love looking at homes like this, I could not have this many things in my own home because I hate dusting. Just looking at the glass collections (and everything else) made me a little tired thinking about how often things like that need cleaning in order to look good. Thanks for another great video, Rebecca! I love all of your outfits too! You always look so polished and stylish.
I was thinking the same thing. I don't like to dust so as much of a minimalist as I can keep it the better. I do like colour though... just a bit. I was just talking yesterday to someone saying all natural and white that many are decorating with is so boring and they all look alike !
I've watched lots of tours on youtube channels like Quintessence of famous designers' homes and they are ALL maximalists!! So much so that their homes look almost gaudy and dizzying (but still super expensive). I think visual people just all love to see lots of beautiful stuff everywhere. EVERYWHERE
Rebecca that jumpsuit is gorgeous on you! Although theirs some beautiful pieces it would make me crazy.I used to be a maximalist but with primitive/ colonial "New England" stuff But it was making me crazy having 30 dough bowls, mashers and what not i have been on the purge for several months now with everything and have gone to 1700's period "primitive " and I finally found my style.Although i have always loved good designs and beautiful things home/garden it's just hard finding designers who do my style... However no matter what I always get design tips and ideas with Rebecca.🕊️💚
Their style is simply exquisite....
What a beautiful home! Thanks for sharing!!! ❤
All I can say is...Exquisite!!!
Wow loving the vibrant colour and life through the house. Appreciate the generous home owners for allowing us a peek with Rebecca!
Such a beautiful home 🏠 💙💙💙 thank you for sharing 🥰 hoping to see a lot more fabulously curated, beautifully designed maximalist home in your future videos 😍
I love my stuff as my home is filled with items that have collection stories, my furniture is colorful, my rugs are bold, my pillows are playful and while I have a lot of traditional pieces, I really enjoy a fun moment in a space as it helps me to not take myself (or life) so seriously! So, I definitely lean into the Maximalists style. Great video, beautifully curated home! Thanks Rebecca!
Maximalist 🙋♀️💕💕💕🤗 their home is absolutely stunning very well put together. Thank you for sharing it with us… Very inspiring.
I love all the color and vibrance. I like the maximalism!
I thought the EXACT SAME THING about maximalist decor styling. And then, I EDUCATED myself on it, and found that I LOVE it! And I love clutter free, too. You can DEFINITELY have both!!!! The key is COHESION!
Your jumpsuit is beautiful, it’s matching the maximalist style.❤
The balance is amazing. I'd never have imagined a decor so appealing and interesting. I love how they mixed different colours of chairs in the living room, and the unique patterns on the cushions. I'm a maximalist, but somehow I lack the ability to curate and just have the guts to eliminate things that look junky or cluttered. In this home, nothing is junky, and there is no clutter. Amazing. I'll need to study each frame carefully.
So pleased 😂 that you highlighted Maximalism home design -- I've always been drawn to gallery walls, lots of pillows, etc. Great video!!! Thank you.
Yes! Color, all the colors
OMG Rebecca, you look stunning. I love your outfit. Anyway, I have noticed, that many rich people's homes tend to be maximalist. Somewhat unique, very personal and completely different from standard trends. Love it.
Iris Apfel!! designer, interior & then fashion. "More is more and less is a bore."
Love Iris..she was a rare bird
This house is so fun, nothing is boring and everything has a story, great job for this couple and thank you so much to you all for sharing ❤❤❤
ESPECTACULAR !!!! De todo mi gusto 👏👏👏❤️❤️🍷🍷🥂🥂
Peyton & Jared's home is STUNNING. Exquisite. Beautiful. All the adjectives! And you're right Rebecca, it's curated so well. Quirky, yet serene, and with so much yummy stuff to look at, I'd be checking out everything for hours if they let me! I find myself drawn to maximalism, but what keeps me from "going there" is A) the CLEANING; and B) the possibility of moving and having to pack up all that stuff! So I try to keep things to a dull roar at my house. But I sure do love it!
Rebecca, thanks for letting us know about these different styles. However, living with this style would give me a migraine and a feeling of no peace to be found anywhere. I love your design style. It's the best and what I try to follow.
Totally understand… that’s why there are so many styles… something for everyone!
However, I applaud you for watching even though it’s not your style. I still think it’s valuable for all of us to understand and embrace people who live something different than we do.
Appreciate you hon 🙏🏻 RR
I love visual abundance and of course color. As long as it is clean and neat and somewhat organized. Just love it!!!!!!
I Love this style.
Gorgeous outfit, Rebecca! ❤👑🌸
I love this episode, I’ve been a maximalist all my life, I adore color and different textures and different cultures expressed throughout our home. 💜🙏🏾
I choose maximalism!!
You look AMAZING in this DYT Type 3 vibe! Fabulous darling!
What a beautiful home Rebecca (and outfit)! Thank you for sharing this style, love the white walls and all the colorful accessories 😍😍
Just breath taking and it does all have a lovely story maximum girl
Now I feel at home! I lovvve ❤ max style! I have some beautiful dressers and beds with big headboards from Poland, very old, antique brass lamps, colorful carpets, very old mirrors, fun velvet garlands, etc.
This style makes me so happy 😊. It's been difficult finding people in my area who enjoy this lovely style.
But it's such a pleasure coming home to my happy home each day!
Finally! I totally love this style ❤❤
I'm actually a Dark Academia maximalist. Love my things and love displaying them. They please me and that's all that matters.
I love it Katherine. Dark Academia has become one of my favorite styles since doing this series. And yes… the style leans to the maximalist side. I’m sure your home is fabulous and reflects you in every way. What’s not to love 🙌🏻. Thanks for sharing with me. XO … RR
@@rebeccarobeson1 I've received comments before that criticized my love of things "you have so many things" is a comment I have heard before. Good thing I am strong willed and follow my own mind. I enjoy your review of the different design styles. Naturally, my favorite is D.A. Happy to hear that yours is too! Want to laugh? My living room, kitchen is dark academia (one open room), my bedroom is light academia and my bathroom is whismigoth (which I also love). Victorian, gothic, I embrace it all. I love the opulence of it, the use of bold color, the not shying away from displaying all kinds of different things. Victorians knew what they were doing in terms of decor.
Amen Rebecca, Girl Yessss
Love this video!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR, BLESSED YEAR ALSO!!!
I absolutely love this video Rebecca. Finally a style that sings to me. I am a collector and I have some lovely pieces. This gives me permission to love my carefully curated stuff x
Love the painting in the dinning room with the green background.
We are out of the Covid time in our lives.!!!!!!! Covid was grey black and ick! Sooo happy to see color and wonderful patterns come alive in this beautiful world. I was so sick of seeing white kitchens with white sofas. Fill those spaces up with fun, beautiful collected things. I love all the older artwork that is back, too! You look absolutely beautiful with all of your extra accessories! Do Not Lose any more weight. Please! Love you !
Best maximalist design in neutrals is Aussie designer Suzie Anderson home. She uses value in a unique way which defines her style. I like a more simple and intentional design now after living with a hoarder (not a maximalist). Not into bold colour everywhere. Love the blooper!
After watching this video, I realize now that my mom was a maximalist. She had collection after collection, but somehow, it all tied together and looked styled & curated. She Loved her stuff! I always saw it as a lot of clutter, but after watching this video, I have a better understanding of maximalist style. Thank you Rebecca, you're looking fabulous as always.
Their home is wonderful! Congrats on a great balance!
I can’t wait!! 🎉 I would like to also add as a maximalist myself that we love to give House tours of all our things that we have . There are almost always conversation pieces located in our homes 😀
Beautiful! I am definitely a maximalist within reason. We live in a small ranch, so I know my limits! LOL! Love all the colors I have incorporated into our home. My husband loves what I do. He is a keeper! 🙂♥️
WOW! That interior is gorgeous!!❤
Rebecca, I didn’t hear a word you said, I can’t focus on anything except THAT GORGEOUS OUTFIT YOU ARE WEARING, WHICH ALSO, CONVENIENTLY MATCHES THE ART YOU ARE SITTING NEXT TO.
OMG I WANT THAT OUTFIT. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆❤️❤️❤️❤️LOVE YOU GIRL ❣️❣️❣️❣️
I am a maximalist love the special meaning to all that's displayed, and I love these things I bring into our home. That you for this episode of a different character decor. Loved it. I want more of it. Not bored at all 😂
I love this house! I love color, the collections, the styling! I can’t stop thinking about that house! Well done!
I think you just hit on a style that would make me very happy. I absolutely love what you are wearing in this video. You should do a video on where you shop for your clothes. You are always so stylish. I would love to see a video on how you design yourself LOL
My mom is a tasteful maximalist. Her house is spotless! Everything is tasteful.
I love it. I have inherited a lot of her style. I love antiques and art.
I want my home to be interesting and full of things I love.
lots of great color
Love the decor and love your jumpsuit!!❤❤❤
This place has been done so beautifully! Bravo!
Love ❤️ your outfit
Love your new format presentations -the best yet!!!
Excellently Done❤
Beautiful way to bring color to your life. I still prefer less stuff around me 😊. Thank you Rebecca! 💖
I love it. That home is amazing and so interesting. We want to see more of this Rebecca! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now that the video is here, I can report that you did not disappoint!!! Thanks to Payton and Jared for sharing your immaculate and impeccably curated home - you guys have an excellent eye for making collections sing!!!
One of my favorite channels, Quintessence, shows designers homes and by far, most are maximalist in their own way. My favorite homes are interesting homes. Some people's homes don't really tell me anything about them. A maximalist has stories and interests.
Very nicely done.
Love it. I’m a toned down maximalist. French, Italian, English, Moroccan, Egyptian, Indian and pretty much old and somewhat fancy.
I’ve always loved collecting antiques and mixing them with modern so I’m a maximalist
I think it is a clear example of minimalist maximalism. Very elegantly done BTW! Definitely my style!
Also love the home you visited!
Love love love the living room
Woww. Excellent taste AND sense ! ❤❤❤
My style! Nice to see something different than the trends! Love this ❤
Gorgeous home.
Love your outfit ❤
I'm not a maximalist , but Jared and Peyton 's home is so refreshing and stunning !
Thank you for another great vlog - what a beautiful maximalist home - I agree they did such a wonderful job in their decor - I love the colors they used
Can't believe I selected the "Notify Me" tab. While I love, love, love the color concept..the thought of dusting everything to keep it looking bright...full time job.
Lol. I have multiple china cabinets to display some of my treasures. A quick swipe of the outside is all it takes.
Your Alice + Olivia jumpsuit was absolutely perfect for this segment! And talk about Maximalism done right, that house was gorgeous!
- Much love from Tracy in Tulsa
Love it! When I was a kid, I flipped through one of my mom's Redbook magazines. There was an article about four different types of design styles. They had romantic, contemporary, and country I think it was. They each had some nice elements but didn't really get my attention. Then I saw the fourth style which I think they referred to as free spirit, but it was totally the maximalism you're showing here. Even as a kid I recognized that was me. My house is full of so many things each with a story, and I find it incredibly comforting. It is so refreshing for somebody to really clarify the difference between maximalism and hoarding. Thank you!
love, love, love.
They absolutely curated a stunning presentation - love it!
You are just the best. An artist who understands intention and expression. You need your own tv show.
LOVE, LOVE, your outfit, you look gorgeous. great designer, too. just started watching. thank you for your videos.
Beautiful home, Beautiful host ❤
Your test actually brought the very right result. 100 % true. Minimal maximalism is it for my, no clutter, no more more more, curate, rug rules count!!!! Your need a visual bracket, color is very important - nearly you can do everything with it. Big tip: cohesive flooring, tiles maybe different colors thru the house, same sockets, switches, doorhandles and window handles, furniture one style period, toilets and sinks all from one series, faucets as well, plants and books.
