I had the Heart release side by side with the CA 23 at the distillery in June and I liked the Heart better, both nose and palate.
MMCA23 is good. MMCA24 isn't as good. Some of private selects I've had are better than the 24.
Had it the other night and quite enjoyed it. If anyone is unhappy with theirs they can send it my way.
Same 😂😂
Went to a store doing their monthly allocation drop this past Saturday hoping to get this or OF birthday bourbon. They only had one bottle of the Cellar Aged, and actually 2 of the OFBB. If this years is like last years I probably won't even see another bottle, much less get it at a decent price. But maybe that's a blessing given y'all reaction.
Could you imagine waiting in line 4 hours for that kind of disappointment? We both missed out there but sounds like we made out good 😂
Find any MM private selection with Mendient or Cuvee with some 46 staves and you're going to have a good whiskey. MM is really solid at putting out reasonably priced cask strength options. I don't think they've figured out how to do age stated well.
Heart Release is so much better than the 24CA. Glad I got a couple bottles of it.
That’s unfortunate, coulda saved myself like 4 hrs of sleep 😂
Cellar chilled slowing the aging process and preserving it as 6 year juice. Makes no sense.
Love the videos, as a new guy into bourbon I have been binge watching your vids and I love how educational and entertaining they are at the same time. Keep it up!
I ruined my ‘24 Cellar by blinding it to Heart the day I brought it home
That’s disappointing, I really loved last year’s CE and the heart release.
Just buy another bottle of Jack SBBP Rye for $70
Tried it this weekend and thought it was super sour. Definitely not a fan and glad I didn't go wait in line and try to get one
The Keepers Heart is the next one i believe for the wood finished series lineup
Glad i did not buy CA24 this year.
Already.got it hahaha, gonna try it in 2 days with friends!😊
That 😮 face for the thumbnail...
Yall are my favorite bourbontubers, but I don’t feel like yal gave it a fair shake. I thought this was just as good as 2023, but even more unique with the extra barrel time. Come back to it in a month please ❤️
That was the second time that I had it with about a week between. Honestly it just feels less complex and more MM profile than last year's.
I honestly don't get the hype behind Cellar Aged. I had last year's batch at a whiskey bar, and it was thoroughly unimpressive. It tasted like any generic Maker's Mark product that you could get for $20. The wood finishing series blows it out of the water. They should stop putting cellar aged in the cellar and actually fucking age it.
Just saved me $200
Love your reviews!
Second
woo hoo
If HR is better than CA, glad this missed me. lol. I bought the HR and left it at a friend's house because it was so mid...it wasn't any better than the maker's picks I've had and even had a couple of bottles that were better than HR. My 0.02.
Yup,no such thing as a good makers mark 😂😂, just an opinion
First
Need a better thumbnail for this video with a disclaimer that reads: Two people who hate Makers hating makers.
