Willie hasn’t got 95 test caps for nothing. While he does make mistakes, all players do. In my opinion, from an attacking perspective, he was the reason the bulls beat Leinster in the URC semi’s, so definitely a really good player
@@jaydensmith2851 you can't deny he's protected by the coaches, he played with one shoulder in the 2019 world cup while Gelant and Willemse were on the squad

Rassie said having Willie on the field is like having an extra coach on the field so I rate Rassie's opinion a lot higher than yours. Willie will be there in 2027 either as player or as backline coach... No player in SA rugby has the Game IQ of Willie.
Did you see what Steenekamp do to the Leinster scrum? I do however would have loved to see Du Toit at loosehead. However Malherbe and Koch are over 34 and not likely to see 2027. Du Toit and Wilco will be awesome replacments for 2027.
Unfortunately you can only choose 23 players. Roos is the future and Kwagga can play 6 because Kolisi is getting older and might not make the next WC. Time to look for a new Captain.
Rassie is giving his old boys a shot to redeem themselves on the RWC Ireland loss. No hate to the other players, but feel like that squad really didn't take the IRL loss well. Anyways, with this much depth, the Boks are in serious contention for 3 in a row in 2027!
Willie is a brilliant player but, he must stop watching himself on the big screen. When he makes a mistake he always blame his fellow players. Willie you are brilliant
Yes Edwill had a great season and a fantastic debut for the Boks! But in my opinion we need to opt for the experience in this first test against Ireland to break the ice and get the first match W! Love your vids btw
Not by me, he's a great playmaker but is underwhelming at everything else expected from an international 15, fielding up and unders, distance on his kicks, accuracy on his up and unders etc, he's dreadful at all those. But he's basically the best attacking 10 in the team, no one can pass, distribute and playmake like Willie, not even Libbok. But that's not enough to justify a selection over guys like Fassi, we won a WC with Willemse at 15.
@@blaquenguni9249libbok actually has more slick passes but anyway his defense is the issue if bundee aki breaks the line and runs to willie we in trouble
Hot takes: Roos doesn’t play Bok rugby yet, he plays for Evan Roos, he keeps running away from support and against Ireland that will kill us. Fassi has the pace and the hands but doesn’t have the vision, can’t kick and not mature enough to manage, needs guidance. Esterhuizen just isn’t smoking the pipe in the bok jersey, it’s his kryptonite at the moment. Vd Merwe, one game (against the wooden spoon) doesn’t make a Bok. He’ll play Portugal again.
This Springboks side is a complete monster, and shows that the coaching staff are taking this Irish side very seriously. But without sounding negative, and can someone confirm this. Did Rassie say that most of the current squad won't be there in two - three years time, as alot of them are getting older.

Wilco destroyed everybody who was put infront of him. Wilco will get his chance. Malherbe and Koch is both over 33. Wilco and Du Toit are both 29 and can play the next two world cups.
There have been many players that I believed were more 'adequate' than 'superstar' when chosen, but in Rassie I trust. There are and have been 'better' players in many positions, but certain combinations work better than others and at the end of the day, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
3:38 doggy dog world 😅 I used to say the same thing, until I saw it written as dog-eat-dog world haha I 100% prefer Kwagga at 8 over Roos, who I don't feel has gelled with the Bok systems yet. He needs to work on his game intelligence.
Very few of the main 2023 WC players will be in the 2027 squad. The squad is undergoing a natural transition. Willie will be played until his 100 th cap, then younger guys will step in.
Before the world cup Rassie only let the new/youngsters play when there was injures and they had no other choice, we need new blood like they proved against Wales
I suspect that Willie le Roux will reach his 100th cao this season and will probably retire from test rugby, he had a great season for the bulls and probably has a year or two of top flight rugby left in those legs.
We have an over supply of talent in SA, that's why I have no issues if some of the players leave and go on to play for other countries. The talent production machine is insane, we have enough depth to put together about 3 solid squads that can compete against Tier-1 nations. We have nice life problems, and we are suffering from success.
