Divine Intervention is my favorite Slayer record. Bostaph is a monster. He went all out on that record. I was afraid Lombardo was not going to be able to fill in great on the intervention songs. He does, however, give it his own Lombardo-sauce. Both great drummers, but, Bostaph is a total beast on this album. Too bad they didn't show him off in the later slayer records like they did in divine.
I totally agree. One of my top three favourite Slayer Albums (Hell Awaits and South of Heaven being other two, with Show No Mercy and Reign In Blood getting close) and with some truly stellar drumming from Bostaph. He was never better or any other record, whether in Slayer or with any of other bands he joined. He wanted to show so much he is a worthy replacement, that he managed to surpass Lombardo in every possible aspect on Divine. I will listen to this record now, for a millionth time. Paul Bostaph I think is a better drummer as far as technicality and precision goes. One fun of Justin B.
Lombardo es un chingon pero Bostaph es brutal, lombardo no llena las canciones que grabo Bostaph
Although I think that Bostaph did this song better live.
00:56 même délire qu'avec Bostaph, comme quoi.....
1:16 That hilarious moment your drunk uncle steps up and says he can play Jeff's solo! Could that solo sound any more boring in Slayers most intense song ever?! Ha!
Lombardo the legend he is but for myself Paul is just better his parts are harder to play.
God damn people notice how he just purposely hits the cymbals more than 2x near the end. Off timing af lmao. You know hes trying to fuck it up.
dave sobie nie radzi z tym kawałkiem
Dave has better drum tone overall. Even the snare sounds more alive.
Had Lombardo written the drum part of Dittohead, the song would have turned out as brilliant and creative as Hate Worldwide.
Hate Worldwide is a generic Slayer song. Its no classic, even if it does kick ass. Nor are the drums particularly noteworthy.
Now, Psychopathy Red, that's some peak Lombardo.
Como todos hablan de Lombardo y Bostaph, Gary pasó piola... Jajajaja
Bostaph é muito foda e criativo, mas Dave no Slayer era mt melhor
Paul's completely butchered every song of Dave's
I don't think it's a huge deal if Dave screws up ONE time. He's played more complex so he could play this song properly if he wanted to
@BUTTABALLA999 i dont think it is surprising at all .... paul´s work was fucking amazing and really difficult to play , watching this video you can tell that dave can just play half of what paul used to do
Bostaph is fine.
Now i understand why Lombardo leaved.... he plays this song like he earns 50 dollars per gig. Really poor performance here. Almost amateurish.
Dave gave it his touch. Paul has rearranged his drum work in older songs, even though he said he has played it 100% the way Dave played it on the studio albums.
What are you talking about? Dave plays them brilliantly. Paul never played Dave's songs like Dave did. Just listen to Angel Of Death or At Dawn They Sleep, you'll see just how much Paul misses with the bass drums. Paul was great on Divine Intervention, nobody's denying that but saying that Lombardo is inferior to Bostaph, now that is a person with no musical ear.
Im sorry but Lombardo butchers this, its really bad
Even though I respect him for being a godfather of metal drumming, he did butcher Bostaph's drum part.
Holly fuck is Lambardo struggling ...I mean he is all over the fucking place.. no timing.... its funny Bostaph plays Lambardo's stuff with one fucking hand ..
Que droga ninguém subistitue o finado
Solo gosta do o finado fazia perceber o agudo porra
Só o finado fazia perceber o agudo porra
No sé pero Lombardo está despegado por encima de todos los bateristas del metal🤘😆🤘💥🧉
🤣 Dave destroza la bata
Lombardo is struggling on Bostaph songs..
Jun Rox it seems like he just doesnt care care because I know he can play them
Dave Lombardo is a Legend, But Paul Bostaph is more creative than Dave... For Thar Paul Bostaph is Better Drummer !!!
Paul could never play Dave's drum parts properly, but Dave couldn't play Paul's drum parts properly either
