Today's battle is grim, muddy and even more brutal to it's participants than last. Soviet troops will attempt to cross the river defended by German infantry, tanks and guns. Heavy mortars and field guns will be supporting the attacking Soviet infantry and armor. Enjoy!
Note: All my maps and battles are modified/not part of the original game and does not represent the finished product. Everything you see is yours to experience if you so wish to create it. My version of the game contains no third-party content. Some videos/battles may contain footage of edited damage models and gun ranges. Everything is created in the GEM game engine's editor, allowing me to make fully custom battle simulations.

Dude, idk why, but Diplex is the only RUclipsr that does this for me. I think it's cuz he's adorable though. Love his passion for the art of war

Sorry for the trivial question, but how do you use the Gates of Hell Ostfront editor? I mean, the game is in Beta phase, how does Diplex use the editor?
@@giordanocappelletti2821 You gotta have a special build to access it (among the other content like custom ai battles and conquest). Most of us who requested beta access via steam won't have that build. That's all I know

I will say I don’t like the forgiving damage. Kind of breaks my immersion when I see a soldier get shot 5 times in the head and not die

He got exclusive access from the developer. We normal mortals only have access to the single player beta.

Hey, Is this game going to be free like CTA? Or money grabber type. And is the editor free to use in the beta Right now? And fun fact my birthday was on March 13th Lol
Are the SMG suaads fromm assault squad not in yet? Especially in sutch aa scenaario they woould maake the battle mmore realistic as, after the riflesquads couldn´t aadvance further, they would pop smoke behind them aand staart shooting at whoever haad stopped them. Just for dedicated squads, platoons and even full companies armed solely with SMG´s and LMG´s to move up, overtae them and clear out the troublesome position. It was quite effective in reaal life aand AS2.
And from the footage of other content creators it seems that the soviets are lacking the variety of units the germans currently have

The russians often make their equipment 1mm larger than their foes so they can shoot captured enemy munitions but the enemy cant shoot russian ammo

@diplexheated The idea behind making your round bigger than your enemy was that in a pinch, I can always use the enemies captured munitions, as long as my round is even just 1mm larger, and my enemy cannot use my capture munition.

Wish the damage wasn’t set so high. Kinda ruins it watching a guy get shot 7 times before dropping.
On the sixth day God gave Diplex the Mission Editor, and on the 7th day he rested and watched with joy and contentment!
