Recieved my bottle today. My best way to describe it is...Aventus Cologne is to Allure Homme Sport the way Green Irish Tweed is to Cool Water.
Hey Max. SOTD Aventus cologne. The opening is stellar, I’m with you wishing that minty mandarin went longer into the progression. Overall really do like it. Do you get similarities to Remarkable People? Maybe even the vetiver in Fat Electrician?
Hi Max, if you were to choose one between Viking and Aventus Cologne, which one would you choose?
I like both but I would have to go with Viking as its a more powerful scent and I enjoy it more!
I have just gotten into colognes (by which I mean I purchased my first, and currently only, EDT a few months ago) and Aventus is one of the fragrances I have really been excited to wear because of how highly recommended it has been in the community. Going into summer and with me working to transition my style I think this scent would be amazing for days when I want a little more punch than my everyday Dior Sauvage! I wrote to Creed for a sample and they said samples are only available when you make a purchase!!
I was pissed as I have about 12 different Creed scents!
I said “before I buy it, I’d like to try it”
Answer was still no!
I told them they have poor customer service for such a high end fragrance

Once simple reason why I want this cologne... everyone else in the comments wants the cologne but unlike them I need this cologne. There’s a difference between needs and wants, this is one of those situations where I need something and this new Creed fragrance is something I need!

hate to say but for me it had a allure homme sport vibe. they should have kept the pineapple. When we think of Aventus we think of Pineapple. they may as well have just called it, "Creed Cologne". Don't confuse it with Aventus.
I was sent a sample from Creed on release date, wore it to the grocery store the next day with my wife, got four hard compliments with one lady sending her husband over to me to inquire about the cologne I was wearing...Ladies love this stuff, however, i"ll wait for the price to drop a little...

4-5 hours longevity for $400+ definitely not worth it in my opinion,but I did order a 10ml DECANT.... ROYAL OUD and ORIGINAL SANTAL are my favorites,real good review my man,stay well....

Unsure if it's a money grab or if it fills a Classic Cologne void in Creeds setup. But if you want a more high performing version of the original 4711 Cologne containing the notes of bergamot, basil, oakmoss and vetiver I would suggest Dior Eau Sauvage. That's a reasonable high end classic Cologne.
Can't wait to try this! We are trying to clean up from the tornado we had here in Jefferson City Missouri but can't wait till things get back to normal.
While I've been into cologne for the last several months, I've only recently started getting into niche houses and would LOVE to chance to be ahead of the curve and sample the newest fragrance from arguably the most popular house! Thanks, Max!!

Great and honest review, like always. One would expect much better performance for the price tag, same with the original Aventus, which lasts about 4 hours on my skin. Everything with the name Aventus will sell, without a doubt, to me... I will wait for a partial, like I did with Viking. Thank you Max!

Honestly, Aventus has become a bit of a grail for me as far as fragrances to yet get my nose on. Despite my best efforts, every time I have tried to get a sample from somewhere in Canada, it is sold out. I figured maybe with the cologne version perhaps the universe would grant me the benefit of actually getting my hands on a sample. I swear, it's starting to feel personal.
I want the decant because Creed is the top niche fragrance ! Save Max Forti!!!

Thanks Max....but as you said, for the price you want the performance to be longer than a measly 4-5 hours......I really expect 8-9 hours at the least. I'd like to try it still, so I'll raise my hand for the sample too. Thanks again Max, really enjoy your insight, unlike any other Fragheads on RUclips.
What are the other advances that you have listed on this video that you mentioned, I was asking because I would like to purchase the ones you mentioned the were Creed aventus ?

I have been into fragrances for about a year and have bought two perfumes, as soon as I smelt Aventus it had trumped the previous ones but I’ve never been able to afford or excuse spending so much but it’s been the biggest temptation ever since

Hello max i don't own any of eventus but I want to buy one which you recommend for me the old eventus or this new?
No fragrance is worth over 150$. The 200% food grade ethanol they use is cheap, so are the oils. You pay for the bottle. And I refuse to pay 150$ or more for a piece of glass.
That's my limit too, often times I just get 30ml decants for not more than 60 dollars and to me that's all you need unless a person make it their sig scent

You are not paying only for the oils and ethanol. You are paying for the labour as well. I assume Creed is filled in France in a high quality environment. It's obviously not a fragrance for everyone, just like Lamborghini is not a car for everyone. Creed is a luxury brand when it comes to fragrances, and as you are probably aware - the luxury is expensive. If it wasn't expensive, it wouldn't be a luxury, makes sense now :)?

@@masterfan0 first of all, i can make Creed Aventus myself with premade oils (like dua) for 20$. Have you ever heard someone making a lambo themselve for 100$? No. Because the engine and everything inside the lambo is expensive. Oils are cheap. So is the raw material they use in fragrances.
Example:
Same with Rolex. If chinese people can copy/recreate a submarine rolex for 100$ without any differences (the Noob v9 ones), that means Rolex is overpriced. Have you ever seen a chinese guy recreate a lambo for a cheap price? No, because the parts inside a lambo are actually expensive. Makes sense now? :)

Thanks Max. I am waiting on my free sample from Creed to come in. I have heard mixed reviews. Some love. Some think it is redundant since it didnt improve on the original in any unique way. I havent ever owned Aventus so I will probably love it. Can't wait to try.
Ive heard so many good things about the old creed aventus on its performance and breathtaking smell sadly it's not available in my country and it's also expensive for me to afford, I'd love to try it for the first time ever.
i poured my Al Harmain l'Aventure into my empty Aventus bottle, I'm now convinced its creed, I highly recommend you do the same and save yourself a fortune. Seems mixed reviews from the youtube reviewers on the cologne.

Honestly I have been using creed since early 2000 and I can tell you longevity for all of them has gone down.

Creed sent me a sample of this with my last purchase. Its pretty average. It smells ok, fairly fruity almost sparkly, projection is no good and it doesnt seem to last long. I still think the best 2 smells on the market is chanel de bleu or creeds vetiver geranium. The vetiver is the most unique smell on the market and the most complimented.
I don't think it's redundant given the popularity of the original, I haven't smelled it yet but I think it's a natural move to say the least.
I'd love the sample to try it out, not only am I practically a Creed ambassador (just love their story snd the scents) but I love everything from the bottles to the heritage of the house itself. I first smelled aventus without knowing what it was back in 2014 oh, I immediately fell in love and I needed to know what it was so the friend that gave it to me I hounded until she remembered and I immediately bought a bottle. Little did I know it was going to Boom with clones and copies all over. For me to fall in love with it blindly you know it's true love. Great video by the way!

I’m a big freshie guy so Creed offerings is an obvious favorite of mine. I’m a big vetiver nut guy as well so talking about vetiver in this new release makes me really wanna get my nose on it. Hoping to sample this soon!

I have always loved Creed and the history of Creed. When Aventus came out, I absolutely fell in love with it. However, I never go the opportunity to get my hands on a bottle. Therefore, this is a great opportunity to share the experience of what others consider the best niche fragrance company. This is the reason on why I want this bottle.

Max, it is disappointing when you have a fragrance that it is so good based on how it smells but falls short in the performance department. I would like to get a sample because I haven't had a chance to try this fragrance out yet. I am a subscriber from the USA.
I haven’t had much luck with any of the Creeds I have tried. They all seem last only a very short time but would love to try this scent.
Max because of you and myfragrancesamples I got into the fragrance game. Only to find out that I have hyposmia (the reduced ability to smell certain odors). I was so disappointed to find out that I will never know what Creed Aventus smells like. Several of the other Creeds I can smell some what. I can’t believe Aventus smells better than them all. I can’t even smell Baccarat 540 and that is a shame. I found out that there are others like me who wear fragrances but has no idea of what others are smelling on them. I would like to win the decant of Aventus Cologne with hopes of being able to smell it and hopefully get an idea of what Aventus smells like. I own about 27 niche fragrances and can only smell a few of them. My life time limit is 31 niche fragrances. One for each day of the month. Keep up the good work.

I am a cologne conissour and I've always wanted to add Creed to my collection but I couldn't afford it so I just purchased the cologne oils which smelled awesome. I definitely want this fragrance.
Can’t wait to try this. Although his and hers are miles apart. Royal Princess Oud is closer to Aventus for him.

i get the feeling this will get more recognition in 2 or 3 years time. very generic fragrance with similarities to allure homme sport, versace pour homme and bleu de chanel.

Great review! The closest scent I have to Aventus is Armaf club de unit intense...I do like the dry down better than the opening...I would’ve preferred a more fresh and crisp opening and the new Aventus cologne might be just that!

Hi Max, as a novice within the fragrance community it would be definitely a great addition to my slowly growing collection as I love trying out and experimenting with different perfumes. As I never had a chance to try out Creed that would be a great possibility for a student on a tight budget to do so. Keep up the great work
Imo Creed just taking advantage of the "Aventus Like" market. After all the clones (esp Mont Blanc Explorer) don't understand why they are doing this. But hey Tom Ford re released Ombre Leather 16 and called it Ombre Leather ... but at least it was cheaper.

I wouldn’t advice anyone buy this before trying it I tried it today and the only thing good is the opening after 15 min it smell like the typical sport cologne that u most likely smelled a million times. Aventus OG has far more better character and unique. AC is a typical designer cologne the base dry down is way to generic doesn’t smell expensive like the OG. This smells so regular while Aventus smell high quality and unique

Hello max can you do a comparison between amouage interlude man and parfum de mardy Layton i bought my first creed in 2017 but it wasn't aventus it was Greed Irish Tweed marvelous perfume recently i smelled aventus on a work colleague and it was a super beast so mass appealing good videos keep it up
