Brent is an amazing singer...the problem is all his studio recordings are nearly impossible for anybody to perfectly perform 200 plus times a year.
Then he shouldn't record them that way. Or price his tickets lower because EVERYONE pays for CD quality....

If Zach wasn't in a band with Brent freaking Smith he could absolutely be a lead man in a band if his own imo. He has a really good voice in his own right, Brent's is just otherworldly.

Why so much hate on these guys literally! I personally think their new album is great everyone thinks they are all hipsters now. First off all like they have always said they need to evolve and be different if they did not it would be boring.

All of the songs that I am hearing from this show sounds like Brent is struggling. I saw him in May 2010 and it was almost identical to listening to the album, actually had me in tears. This has me in tears too because he still has the intensity, just not the same power in his voice :(

I love this song, and when they played it when i went to there show in Bloomington with FFDP, they mastered it.... but here, not so much, i mean i love Shinedown, but i think they totally bashed the singing here... i have to admit though when Zach screams "What a Way to go" thats freakin sick

I think the problem is that they do so many shows a year that Brent's voice never gets to recover. They are all exhausted all the time. That's the band lifestyle, have to get all of the money you can while you are still relevant. It is a shame, I paid $99 to see them at Rockville 2013 here in Jacksonville, FL (where Shinedown is from), and they were awful live. Still love 'em, though. They have the talent, if they weren't so overworked they could get that across live.
I think the quarantine did Brent a huge favor for his voice hasn't been as strong as it it right now since 2013

No. It’s the bass drum that sounds like ass. He has it triggered, and usually that’s supposed to give you a better sound. I don’t think he has his bass drum tuned correctly for the type of music they are playing. If it was me, I’d want a deeper bass drum tone for hard rock. Everyone is different, and has their preferences. I just think his bass drum tone needs to be deeper, lower. It would give it that punch. It’s too high pitched.

you're not hearing a mixed show... you're hearing the direct outs from each channel into an interface to protools. Nothing more.

That fucking kickdrum.....Ive seen shinedown 4times. The first three times were amazing!! hands down the best band i have ever seen live. But the 4th time on this new tour cycle..there live sound is fucking horrible!! And its that damn Kickdrum!....i haven't got a clue as to why the sound guys for shinedown or the guys in the band havent noticed how over powering and shitty sounding that kickdrum is. The sound was so bad when i saw them in march. all i heard was bass and kickdrum whole night. :(

when the bassist tries to sing back up he kinda sucks. it doesnt go well with bretts voice at all. when the guitarist does back up vocs it sounds good.
