my grandmother use to make me those scrambled eggs with feta, tom, and red pepper whenever we went to Greece,,,so delicious
That is cool to hear!
What are they called
@@amneshgrewal1243 its called (Strapatsada)
4 tablespoons olive oil ,chopped onion,1 red pepper, of 4 ripe tomatoes 6 eggs salt freshly ground pepper, 2 tablespoons feta, small dash of flour ..you can add hot red pepper flakes to if you like spicy
Awe your dad is the cutest & sweetest. Love his accent. That food looks so good. 😊
Thank you very much! It was a delicious meal.
I’m hoping to visit Santorini one day in the future 😍
That is great to hear. We highly recommend it.
You both are awesome, what a blessing to travel with your Dad too and seeing he is having fun also👍!
Thank you very much! We feel fortunate to be able to travel with our parents.
All I have to say is... you guys are living the life...your best life
#goals
Thank you very much!
Love that your Pops is along for the ride, Sam
Thank you! We sure feel fortunate to have them along.
Omg...you guys bring the memories back been to santorini last year and also you having breakfast the same restaurnt we went and we love that place a lot 😍😍😍
Ah, that is so cool to hear! That place is just great. We ended up going back again with my Mom :)
How did I miss this video?? 😮 Gorgeous find! And how cute is Sam’s dad!!!
Thank you! Ah, we miss having my Dad along.
Cool video and awesome breakfast. Now we have a similar dish to strapatzada that we make in Sparta Greece with salted pork or homemade Greek sausage (very heavy dish), but we are blessed that we have Mountain Taigitos witch has plenty of natural spring water fountains loaded with natural minerals and helps digestion of such a hearty meal. I MISS GREECE. LOL
Thanks Greg! That sounds so tasty. Would love to try it in Sparta someday.
Waddle off to the restaurant together...lol! The food looks delicious, but that restaurant look even more beautiful! Also, I think you guys are obsessed with Greek yogurt. You've eaten in every video for at least three videos...though I can't blame you. I love Greek yogurt too! I usually just take plain Greek yogurt and throw some fruit and honey in. It's the best!
Thank you! Hahaha...it is true about the yoghurt. We've actually buying it from stores and keeping it in our fridge as well. Oh, fruit and honey is the best combo! Also nuts as well :)
Also had breakfast there, with a parent! Cheers!
Ah, that is so cool to hear. We miss that place.
Guys, you do realize Santorini is like a natural phenomenon, right? Basically unique, but I haven't seen single shot from the caldera view or volcanic hotspot. and it has some cool museums too, due to its ancient importance - plus they have their very own wine production there.....:-).....guys.....sup wid dat?......:-) ....now you have to go back and start all over again......womp - womp......:-)
Womp, womp. Well, we'll be covering some of those soon in the next video. We originally thought staying 8 nights would be too long but we ended up not evening doing everything we wanted to while there. It is an impressive island no doubt.
Oh the food looks so delicious 😋
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! They also had a nice lunch and dinner menu. A great restaurant overall :)
I've seen Greek Breakfast advertised as Greek Coffee + 1 cigarette. This is more like what Greeks have.
Hahaha...we noticed that in Croatia as well.
This breakfast is very touristy. Locals are more into cheese pie and spinach pie or bougatsa.
Greeks dont eat breakfast. They eat pies after 11-12
You are wrong.
Very artisanal, lovely.
Thank you!
The highest point in the British isles is Ben Nevis. That is a good old hike to the top, and any tea at the top would certainly be worth calling 'mountain tea', I would certainly have felt like and the tea had earnt the appellation if it made it up there with me in a flask, be it English Breakfast or not.
Would love to do that hike someday!
Do you think it would be a good idea to visit Santorini in January ?
It might be cooler then but my guess is you won't find many tourists.
Thank you
Where did you guys go after Greece?
We head back home after this.
Hi Sam, hi Audrey, how do you afford traveling?
Great question. We work online to keep our travels going and we travel slowly and tend to go overland choosing value destinations.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos thanks for your answer!
You all seem so overdressed, how warm was it?
We visited in March when it was still a bit cooler. It must be very hot right now.
Bosnian coffee??
Yes, it was like that.
all really nice nutty
Indeed!
Greek coffee is actually the same with Turkish coffee
But it’s really Greek coffee stolen by the ottomans...
@@coolguyt657 You mean Arabic?
George Stathopoulos no it is Greek, the Arabic’s never had it. Don’t let the Islamic states fool you. Greeks had the hot coffee when they prayed to gods for signs. All of the foods and drinks are Greek. It’s not Turkish nor Arab, it is all Greek. They are thieves.
En castellano please
Thanks Sandra! Have you checked out our Samuel y AUdrey channel?
Dale audru tu puedes jajajaja si hablas perfecto castellano y Samuel casi casi

That is awesome to hear. We'd highly recommend visiting.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos I love you both!!! ❤😊😍
Sam your father is adorable and so much fun fun fun
Thanks! Happy to have them along :)
Poppi is cute
What?! Cake for Breakfast! We're in. How did we not find this in Greece on our travels? 🤨- Trevor
Hahahaha...cake for breakfast is an Audrey specialty ;)
Yes but pitta with feta cheese or spinach-feta (spanakopitta) or mpougatsa is a more everyday breakfast.
Real greek breakfast is frappé, cigarettes and tiropita or spanakopita
Hahaha...yeah, noticed many Mediterranean breakfasts include cigarettes.
You missed some great pastries, like tyropita (cheesepie- mostly with feta cheese) and spanakopita (spinachpie with feta and other ingredients) and bougatsa. Lovely breakfast the one you had though! Cheers!
Thank you! Oh, we'll have to try those next time :)
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Alex Keenan Instablaster ;)
@Karsyn Mathew thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Karsyn Mathew it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
Yep! Greek cuisine is heavenly and each ingredient alone is truly of exceptional quality. Even if one makes the most simplistic salad of 2 ingredients (olive oil, tomato) or dishes that takes hours to prepare, it just tastes so good. And I always get excited when I see vlogs where people get the same reactions as I did when I was in Greece eating my way through the country
Thank you! We love the fresh and colorful ingredients.
Wow, the yogurt and the main dish Sam had (I forgot the name strapa something lol) looked delicious! And the restaurant looked so nice, great environment. Were the views from it nice too? Could you see the sea?
Thank you! They served up some delicious food. No, this was actually a few streets inward so no spectacular views but I feel that was reflected in a more reasonable price.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strapatsada (you can find recipes with the name)
Strapatsada.. Weird name, I know. It means "to handle roughly, ill-treat, tire out",
basically it means "put all the ingredients in a pan and make a mess out of them, then eat it."
The appetite was awakened :)
Ah, that is good to hear!
9 00 κακα παιδια. Επρεπε να ξυπνήσετε στις4 00το πρωι....
hmm I don t think that this is the usual greek breakfast. Here in Greece if we want to eat something in the mornings we go to the bakeries and buy some feta or spinach pie or every kind of pie(cheese and ham, potato, fried pie, phyllo pie). Except from these foods if we are taking our breakfast at home we usually eat bread with butter and marmalade/tahini/honey and milk/juice/cocoa milk. So it was more simple that you thougt it would be, Greek breakfast is what the bakery is selling!!
Thanks for letting us know.
No Greek would eat all of these for breakfast. Our breakfast is either nothing or some coffee maybe with a toast or a cheese pie.
Thanks for letting us know.
Or some cereals 🤣🤣🤣
Your dad is awesome! I like the way he talks, so calm and sweet
Thank you! We've really enjoyed having him on this trip.
Mountain tea grows in the greek mountains and in a few Balkan mountains only. We use this as a medicine from the ancient times.
Thanks for letting us know.
Your dad is awesome! Not annoying or fake or prideful or arrogant even. And it's like he has a face that was meant to smile more than anything else. What a chill dad! But man I've got to say he looks a lot like he's related to famous Canadian French food cook Laura Calder! Do you know who she is Sam? And man what a beautiful place to have breakfast! 🍳
Greek cuisine is the most underrated in the whole world.
It is so tasty!
Greek foods are the definition of healthy foods of all time! I will definitely get a fruit and yoghurt galore there haha
Thanks! Natural and delicious ingredients :)
lol you clearly dont know anything about greek food dude. greeks consume the highest amount of deep fried dishes in europe as their daily diet, i am not not mentioning the fast food stuff even. Secondly there is no such cusine as greek, because according to a research what greeks eat today are either, arabic or turkish dishes, so basically it s all copied from their neighbours but not from the east but from the west too like pastitso which is baked pasta, graviera which is a type a Swiss cheese and etc.
haskovali and you my friend don't know nothing about greeks either, except a generalised incorrect version usually turkish people make unfortunately. Every country has fast food, graviera is a actually a greek cheese. All cultures derived things from other cultures because of wars or expeditions or just some cultural shifting and that's why every country it's interesting in it's own way but to claim that everything is middle eastern and there is no greek cuisine it shows how little you know about history, greek cuisine, culture, geography and agriculture in the area. More over i don't understand the obsession to falsely point that everything is from other cultures, you know other civilizations have shared or took things from Greek culture and dimmed them as their own but we don't go around and insult or say false things just when i see a Turkish or middle eastern video. Turkish cuisine expanded in the Byzandine Empire and took a lot of things from other cultures too, so everyone has shared things, has it's own unique things that combines their food culture or culture in general.Try to understand history, how, why some things happened where everyone is located and how some things through bad or good situations came to be as it is now, some emotional intelligence and some objectivity when you read history or try to understand another culture doesn't hurt at all, it benefits you. Lastly it has become tiring all these hate towards Greek cuisine or culture from some Turkish people (i don't know where you from, i say that in general) i don't have a problem with turkish people but they becoming very insulting to others by the minute about everything Greek. As i said Greece has influenced Turkey and Middle East too since ancient times, but we don't insult others because of understanding that every country has it's own unique things and what has been shared is now a part of their culture too. Good day.
You know absolutely nothing! Greek,Turkish food is derived from ancient Greece and the Byzantine empire which was a christian greek empire that lasted over one thousand years. Turks were nomads when they reached the area, and were known for eating raw meat and kefir, that is all. Turks were and are barbarians and had nothing to add to the region,as the Greeks were eons ahead of them on all fronts.
@@haskovali So then by your logic Turks and Arabs consume the highest amount of deep fried dishes.
The food and healthy culture is in Mediterranean see where are the oldest civilizations in the world. The anglo-saxons have very bed diet ..just burger and potatoes ....😫😫😫
One of the blue zones with the highest longevity.
like your video but maybe try to find more specific adjectives than ...."super cool".. it doesn't really help our understanding much
Noted!
Oh, guys, you said the "T" word for _our_ _Greek_ coffee... Shame on you! 😉
Our bad! It sure was good.
@@samuelandaudrey Just kidding! We all got it from the Arabs in fact. But there are some variations. The Arabs usually put some spices in it, such as cardamom. Turkish coffee is usually darker (more roasted) than the Greek one. Fun fact: Greek-Cypriots call it Cypriot coffee, not Greek.
@@Evan490BC I was about to tell them the same thing! Greek coffee is very delicious though, I picked up the habit to do what the Arabians do though and add spices but I put cinnamon ahah. 😋
@@angeliki5135 I had arab coffee when I visited Beirut and I buy turkish coffee in London (where I live), sometimes. I think I still prefer the greek version, although espresso is my favourite, by far.
Please keep in mind that most greeks dont eat breakfast other than a cup of coffee (of a glass of ice coffee). We dont eat yogurt for breakfast and we eat strapatsada (or kayana which is the same scrambled eggs with tomato dish) for lunch or dinner. Also there is a traditional tea called mountain tea (του βουνού) which is a plant that grows on every mountain. If you like tea, you should try it. You should boil it in water and then filter the water on your cap. You shouldnt try the individual packages. Finaly, you need to pour all the greek/turkish/whatever coffee on your cup and just dont drink the sand-like coffee that stays on the bottom. At least thats the way we drink it. Hope you have enjoyed our stay :)
Oh thanks for letting us know about that!
Yes! I make strapatsada or kayana for dinner all the time. In the Ionian island of Zakynthos, the eggs are actually not scrambled, but 'sunny side'. You make a little well in the tomato sauce once it's cooked down and drop in the eggs that cook in the sauce. I make it both ways! Delicious!!
No way! Without breakfast we DON'T start the day.
You should know that 90% of Greek people don’t eat breakfast they just drink coffee ! Because we eat a lot at lunch ...
I like that kind of culture!
I haven't lived in Greece for the last 20 years. When I last visited, I got myself a traditional full English breakfast. My Greek friends looked in awe 😆
Yogurt with honey and walnuts it's indeed a traditional and even ancient Greek breakfast.
Great to hear Nikos! So delicious.
I've lived in Greece and I am ethnic Greek but Greeks don't do breakfast and they eat later but around 9 pm it gets lively at the restaurants. I was at Santorini 1998 but I am sure it much more of a tourist trap and probably more expensive. Look at the RUclips videos about Thera, still an active super volcano.
Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation to eat at Pelican Kippos. We just left Santorini this morning and we knew we had to try it once we saw your video. Happy travels!
Thank you! That is great to hear. What did you eat there?
Well the AirBnB we stayed at delivered breakfast every morning to our private terrace. So we originally planned to do breakfast just as you did, but it’s hard to argue with stepping out on the terrace in your robe to a hot breakfast. So we went there for dinner. I had lamb with potatoes and carrots in a crock pot. My girlfriend had pork cooked in a Vin Santo glaze that was apparently made with a Greek wine. It was fabulous. Also had a local bottle of rose wine to pair with it. Definitely one of our favorite meals of our trip.
Ciao amigos
You both are so adorable as well as Sam's dad
Thank you very much Gitanjali! Wishing you the best.
@@samuelandaudrey thank you
My dad just got back to greece. He is from the island of evia. We eat eggs with tomato and feta with some toast. A nice greek coffee and some figs and juice is great.
Yum! That sounds super tasty!
I'm extremely starving right now while watching you guys dug in the goody. I just want badly to grab the food right off the screen lol.
Ah, wish we could share with you!
Wonderful to see this. Looking for inspiration at breakfast the and I think I just found it. 😋😊
I'm from the UK and I would have thought their mountain tea would have been a blend of herbs such as wild thyme, oregano etc but to find English breakfast tea as their mountain tea is hillarious. They must have been all out of mountain tea. P.s the highest mountain in Britain is Ben Nevis, Grampians in Scotland at 1,345 ft. That's a lot of hiking. It's also very cold at the top with snow in late summer. 😊
Also mountain tea is a thing. It grows wild in the mountains and it is amazing. Tastes like a very good chamomile. My dad brings it back from Greece every year he goes.
Wow! That is cool to hear! Some fantastic products in Greece. We visited a place that only cooked mushroom dishes.
One of the places I like travel in. Their food looks delicious too. 😄
That is very cool to hear! Highly recommend going.
Hi guys. I'm new to your channel. I Love this video. Have you visited every Mediterranean country? It would be great to see breakfast, lunch and dinner from every Mediterranean country. 😊😋
LOVING your food videos. This is what I love most about traveling. I start plotting where I will eat first. Great videos
Thank you! We're the same way. A good meal can make the day.
I'm live in Ontario , Canada I tried Greek cuisine
That is cool to hear! Do you like it?
Seriously Audrey that pretentious way you start recent videos annoying. It's not in your Spanish version or earliest. Thought you had a speech impediment, but realized it's an affectation.
Freaking cake is not Greek breakfast...
What should we have next time?
@@samuelandaudrey Try trahana. Jamie knows: ruclips.net/video/byEKAIz4aI4/видео.html. Also try syglino (traditional smoked pork) omelette, the rich variety of savoury Greek pies (e.g. cheese pie, spinach pie, onion pie, mushroom pie, sausage pie etc.) with different types of dough... there are so many things you can try in so many places (preferably, not the highly touristy ones, which 'bend' the country's culinary tradition, so it fits the tourist's preferences).
Ben Nevis 1345 m ... highest breakfast tea mountain in Britain ... love ya work as ever .. go Georgie ..
Thank you! What a view that would be!
Your dad is really charming
Thank you very much Jaca!
Breakfast is good I love youghurt
Great to hear.
Kalimera! The olives are Kalamata Olives. Thanks
Thanks for letting us know!
Being an Australian greek I have never herd of the tomatoe/egg/feta breakfast dish !?!

Thank you!
I was sad, but your videos make me feeling better . Kisses :)
Thanks! Hope you have a great weekend.
Greek Life!
We love it!
Samuel and audry another ten points...
Thank you very much!
That egg dish looks like menemen, what Turkish people eat for breakfast.
Honestly I’ve never visited Santorini but am a Greek
Do you want to visit soon?
Yassou guys! Morning. You should try the Nescafé whipped coffee. (Called ktipitóe). It's very Greek and in every cafe.
we call it "frape", which in fact is french for whipped, which is the translation of χτυπητό ktipito.
THank you for suggesting that!
Cool, we've gotta try that
We should do a whole video trying them all :)
Good morning there Sam and Audrey! From Philippines! 🇵🇭
Good morning! Ah, we'd love to visit the Philippines soon :)
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos yeyyyy!!! Filipinos are so excited! ❤
Filming other people while they eat is such a challenge because you see their reactions first and you’re behind the camera starving. I like your travel food video. Great B-rolls maybe adding a wide shots to your projects. Check out our Channel we make similar videos.
Thank you! It is hard to film when you want to be eating too....haha
Nice video and great greek breakfast!!!
Healthy and delicious way to start the day.
Do we really need to see Audrey eating yogurt for a fourth time?
Maybe not
Strapatsada is easy to make. You mash up fresh tomatoes, heat them in a pan until most of their water is gone and add beaten eggs and a bit oft salt. ( and anything else you might want, like feta cheese) Lots of black pepper is a must for many, I personally don't like it a lot but it sure gives it a kick. 👌👌👌
Thanks for sharing that!
Hola, can you share the name of the breakfast restaurant please?
sooo yummy guys! love it 💜 PS. your dad looks so nice 😊
Thanks Kelly! We really enjoy family travels.
Hello my friend enjoy travel and food
Hey! Thank you!
Huh! Your video brought me back to my childhood. My mother used to make eggs with tomatoes when I was a kid. They looked a little different from the way they serve them in Santorini. We remove the skin and the seeds and poach them in olive oil until well cooked, then add the eggs. They are delicious, but you gotta be patient to make them. I have to try them with Feta. Thanks, very nicely done.
Thank you! They sound absolutely delicious.
I love you, guys!!!💖💖💖
Thank yoU! :)
It's beautiful, I'm hungry.... I have to go there this year.... It's spectacular 💞
Wonderful to hear!
Hi to sam's dad and hi to all greece and people love you all stay safe please pray for the world sanity God bless love from England
Thank you very much!
Coffee and juice together
Gotta love it!
The highest point in brittain is ben Nevis in Scotland . beautiful mountain but I'm pretty sure you've seen it while you were there . like most mountains in scotland its shape makes it look shorter than it actually is
Thanks! Ah, we did see it in Scotland many years ago. Would love to go back though.
*EVERY YEAR IN GREECE_LOVE IT*
Thanks!
My dream vacation: Greece
Great to hear!
That breakfast place looks really nice. I always thought Santorini was a few white houses with blue roofs
Thank you! That was kind of our impression as well but it far exceeded our expectations.
I loved this blog excellent
Thank you.
I would like to taste that Greek yoghurt it’s looks nice. Audrey looks cute as always. I like the way she commenting about foods.
Another wonderful video!!!!
Sam and he’s father so adorable and soo much fun!!! I think I recently got addicted to watch your travel videos. Before I never knew Greek foods are soo much delicious. One day I hope to visit Greece .
Greetings from Sri Lanka 😘
Thank you very much! Hope you can try it again soon. We so miss Greece. Such a nice laidback pace of life.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos .
That’s great to hear!!!! I wish I could visit there
♥️😘
Good morning
Good morning!
Your father is so humble. He doesn't act like he is superior because of being the father , the "strong" male in the family. He gives you the "lead" . He looks like he is willing to do whatever you want. Not in a negative way . Just in order to be nice, comfort you and please you. I wish we had a lot of these people in the world
Thank you! He is very easy going and chill which makes traveling with him super fun.
Real tasting good shocker
Your Dad is the best Sam! Love this channel so much! 😘 from Newfoundland!
Thank yoU! Ah, that is cool to hear. My parents have been there but we still have to visit your province.
view of country, foods, greece looks like paradise ;)
