OMG! Thank you. GPT-3 could only tell me he was a composer. I couldn't get the connection. Who was that running joke even for? The kids? I think not. That's some real Dennis Miller level shite!
Genie sounds like a husky Rocket J. Squirrel…Almost certainly voiced by June Foray, who did most if not all the female voices in the Rocky series. Tight budget. My aunt was friends with Foray in high school (Springfield MA). Foray graduated HS with a degree in elocution (probably first and only) and moved on from MA to CA and greatness.
Story I heard was that once the Rocky & Bullwinkle writers ran out of fairy tales to adapt (or got bored) they made up their own, and that’s where things got silly
I had heard something similar. In a TV show profile about the Rocky & Bullwinkle show, it was mentioned that the writers used to tweak the Fractured Fairy Tales stories with all sorts of inventive plot devices that deviated from the original tales, such as 'being cursed with a nose looking like a casaba melon!'
As did I 👍🏾.... unfortunately the DVD series didn't have the original Rocky Show intro music or Bullwinkle's jazzy end credits with the fireworks popping off ending 🤷🏾♂️
@@rizinggodfist3049 It looks like the original endings from 1959 to 1961 are not on the R&B and Friends collections... checked youtube (where I get all my media intros, endings, classic intermission, ans vintage movietone news clips) there are a few separate original intros & endings... including the ending where the illustrated lighting pops like fireworks.... Guess I have more conversion/Editing work ahead! 😁😎👍
@@1gramps4julian yeah I thought so friend 👍🏾... indeed that's where I got most of my information to was from RUclips and other RUclipsrs that uploaded those classic intros/credits endings... thank God for them & their time machine capsules 👍🏾
Gawd, I miss the days that went along with these cartoons… We saw these during the Rocky and Bullwinkle hour… Aesops Fables too… Then Tennessee Tuxedo (and Chumlee) and Commander McBragg… good times… black and white TV…
Rocky and Bullwinkle was the best! Pull up on you tube : recording of voice overs for rocky and bullwinkle episode GOOF GAS ! It's the crew doing the voices of the characters un-edited in real time like a bloopers audio but it's a riot..they're cracking up at what the writers handed them ..howling !
Be careful what you wish for those who would be king. And to those who think or know that they are King. Good luck! Intellect one-on-one will have you against the fence in a heartbeat 💓 lol 😂 absolutely hilarious have a good day and be safe.
If you're talking about the character himself, the original story explicitly takes place in China (though it's pretty clear the writer knew nothing about China other than that it was some faraway kingdom). If you mean where the story itself comes from - yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if it originated in Persia. I think a lot of old Persian tales found their way in to the 1001 Nights.
You never really think about how much you enjoyed these nor how much you miss them until you stumble across one again 40+ years later.😢
It's great to hear the voice of Edward Everett Horton again!
For those who didn’t get the joke, Stephen Foster was the composer of the song ‘Jeanie with the light brown hair.’

Also Swanee River.
Thank you
God bless
Alright, after 55 years, that mystery has been solved for me.
At 65 I get the joke. At ten it went right by me.
I grew up with these tales. Priceless! 😂
This is better than the Disney version.
Way better!
Always loved the fractured fairy tales. Also PU university!

More like Natasha without the accent than Rocky, IMO
And one of the voices here sounded a little like Dudley Do-Right,
In high school you don't earn a degree , but a diploma
That's what you earn when graduating from high schools..
Story I heard was that once the Rocky & Bullwinkle writers ran out of fairy tales to adapt (or got bored) they made up their own, and that’s where things got silly
I think this one would qualify.

Man I love these cartoon tales... so much that I bought the series on dvd and digitized them into my classic & vintage cartoon media library! 😎👍

@@rizinggodfist3049 I forgot about that... I have the R & B show digitized too... hmm... I'll have to recheck those segments and let you know... 👍
@@1gramps4julian yes please do bcuz I was hoping/wishing they included the whole series as I remembered it.

Thank you, brings back memories from the past.😊
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I doubt I ever missed a Rocky and Bullwinkle show because of these.
I remember these! Good memories
Multiple levels to this.

I'll check it out !
Another fractured twist on Aladdin and so many genies from the lamp. Where was Barbara Eden? Love these old tales. Joe S
Just rub it and you'll get a surprise!! LOL....
That's what she said.
Not to mention jumping the king....
Fantastic, well done 😍
Half the jokes I never got until I grew up.... To this day I still believe that skinny Natasha must've had a boob job.
That's the origin of the cinematic "Aladdin".
I always go to the neighborhood lamp stores.
More please
Looks good. Thanks for sharing.

i like the directors cut alternative ending where Stephen Foster pops outta the lamp.
Real funny how the genie is said to have brown hair but it's blonde. Whoops 1960s animators
Think about it, blonde is light brown. No whoops was made. More mistakes are made in animation now.
ha, ha lol these are great and funny!!
I was just thinking about the Icarus and Daudilis one!😂
The last time I did that, it was a bad divorce
Good lord I feel like I'm 8 years old again
You'd think Kings and Grand Vizers would send someone else to go shopping 🤷🏼♂️🤓😎✌🏻
Great to see this old cartoon again! ❤️👏🫶
Sounds like the genie is voiced by
In our times anthropology state that Aladdin was not from Arabia.

Exactly they say the story came from China
my balls, my glorious balls wrote this story, all hail my balls.
"Un-restored"?? In the words of Indigo Montoya from "Princess Bride"...."You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
Actually more like early 1960's
Classic
🎉👏👏👏
Old school
These stories are so corny. Aladdin knew he had 2 more wishes and he goes to play penuckle.
That's what she said.
I think this is the original.
Idea 😮😮😮
The same line I used when I first met my wife; "Rub me and get a surprise!"
i got to get me a lamp
Sure I’m sure I’m sure…
🤣😂
We could use more of this ! Simple mindless self parody for the fun of it! Make America Great Again ❓. Sure. WhatsamattaU. ?
