So here i am 4 in the morning stiil in my pajamas and got me a bowl of fruity pebbles and watching Fractured Fairytales .... does it get any better... i don't know but thanks for helping me relive some really great memories. Now if i could just get my childhood friend over id say everything was perfect . Except for this damned arthritis 😮😮.
Felt sorry for him even after he married. What a mother-in-law! And that poor ogre, but that's a fractured tale for you. Enjoy these tales very much. Joe S
Because those were better, more pure and good times ere was no such thing as "dating" then for anyone..."dating" culture is a modern one, and completely disgusting and nonsensical, and also morally wrong, faithless, and spiritually emptying. Of course, there was always courting or wooing which was sincere before marriage and for the purpose of marriage....there was belle and beau they called eachother when courting.....but mostly straight for marriage...no false illusionary "fun" or waste of one's energy...as is the sincere , and naturally true thing to do. Even in these times, in my culture, and my family, we marry first and future or prospective bride and groom for eachother do so by looking and assesing the character and other qualities like family of the other. This whole process is without any loss of decency, virtue or ill effect or offense of honor and moral righteousness, loyalty, faithfulness and devotion. The love that is cultivated after is more pure, good and lasting than with ways that deviate from one's root which is mostly now in modern ways. The saying "old is gold" is MOSTLY true....but the "root is priceless" is ultimately True.
Two academic things I learned, from this episode. Narrator (Horton) pronounced sword🗡️, with a 'w', instead of 'sord'. And the spelling 'OG•RE', is British. For us (US) it's, OG•RĒ (since we, speak American. Nothing silent). Unfractured non-fairy, facts🙄.
If I was that little guy in that fairytale, this is what I would've said to that unpleasant mother-in-law. "I am not your butler, cook, or any servant. If you want these chores done, why not hire some servants! You're rich enough!"
"I'll never have a happy ending with my mother-in-law in the house!" I feel you!
"I hate people who are late with explanation". Me at work.
Poor Ogre!
....and to this day, he's *still* trying to figure a way to get out of it. 😉
Fairy Godmothers were everywhere and times were good…
WOW!! We really need them now!!!😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂

Another one I never saw! The Detroit stations definitely had a limited selection, or only played their favorites.
They skipped dating and went straight for marriage.. lol
Efficient, I guess.

Anyone else a little upset they cheaped out on showing the ogre?
