- We The Growers sits with Chris from @Ghostbudstersfarm and Chris Durand, Director of Research & Development at Athena. In this clip, Chris Durand details the primary drivers for Terpenes and THC, and how you can increase the percentage of both.

I found that if I play a recording of my ex-wife's nagging and complaining on a 24-hour loop, my plants get stressed .
Need a Nobel Peace prize for that one!
Best comment ever
I was havin a toke when i read that and almost fuckin died, i cant stop coughing 🤣🤣
But how do you feel, not worth it you can hear.
@@raylewis6117 I FEEL GREAT IM, DEVORSED
The key to unlocking thr full potential is to use biostimulants to trigger SAR responses without stressing the plant at all. I've been using a mix of Chitosan, Salicylic acid and amino acids as a foliar. It makes a very noticeable difference after a week of application. I'm supprised Athena doesn't have a biostimulant product like this! It would save me mixing my own.
Salicylic acid is the shit!
Chitosan makes a big difference
hi, may i ask how you mix your own ? whats the % and also how strong is the Salicylic acid ?
@@karimbauer8720 I don’t. I just buy it from @bokashiearthworks . It’s the most effective one on the market and really well priced. It’s cheaper just to get it from them.
Finally some real knowledge! Still learning. Stress and Hormones lol always flush unless you're a soil organic tea person... Sparkling weed sucks.
For outdoor pots I’ve done not watering stress. Unintentionally. And wow the terps were insane and the trics went pretty crazy to.
So I'm curious how your applying this method? Would you mind to explain and when your doing it?
@@chrisblair3081last few weeks during flush last 2 weeks or 3 use tap water or non ph water also there’s a few other ways to stress them out safely to improve the trichomes
So much good information thank you
I’m a simple kinda guy. If Chris Durand says I should be doing something in the garden , I’m implementing it
@@yetiandcoco it’s okay you probably grow boof
Living soil for me
Hps maybe for something of scale , but my 1st proper led (quantum lm301b) made my setup go to next level. I used to do 3x400w then 2x600w , now I've got 3x300w quantum boards . I don't have to worry about fresh bulbs or how to effectively get my room under 100f , my quality went way up and my yields up avg 40%.
I grow fantastic buds with led
Running hps snd mh for the whole grow this run. One side will get one or the other, middle overlap gets both. Im excited.
keep this thread updated!! im curious
Expect different bud structure, I have one room in HID lights, some strains just do better.
You should do checkerboard set up with it , you can then use the room to veg with MH only and switch to a mix hps/MH for flower giving it a awesome full spectrum with the low blue and far red combo, I worked for a few big cultivations in Nevada and they started implementing this all over the industry 2-3 years ago
any updates diego?
I always incorporate MH bulbs last 3 weeks makes a big difference in potency and terms
What would yall recommend i feed my plants daily 🤔
Some times i think y'all are straight genius 😊 no really though. Like if i wasn't told some of these things, honestly i don't think i would have ever come up with
Honestly fade stress is the best, when you let the sun flush the plant. So don't chop early.
So sick of people saying "good" genetics. When they need the right genetics for the environment. Especially when most breeders selling "good" genetics give very little info on the plant. Different cultivars for different environments. To expect one cultivar to grow in all climates isn't gonna work. So find genetics for your environment. And of course most only talk of indoor. Flushing kills the brix levels. Fruit and berries loose taste when getting a lot of rain around harvest kills the brix levels.
If you grow and allow some to seed every year the plants will adapt to the environment but it takes time. Genetics are a great start but environment changes the genes.
Smartest advice I have seen in RUclips comments
Very very true bro
I wouldn't get tooo mad. A ton of breeders are marketing to indoor growers and they assume the same environmental control
All you gotta do is Google where the strain originated from in the world and then look up the average temp, sunlight, rainfall, humidity ect in that part of the world and then adjust your growing environment to match it.
So go for bulk with stress free environment up till week 6 of flower and then slightly stress?
Thats what I get from it. I think most often nutrient based stress seems to be the recommended option. Have you seen any insight? This short clip doesnt really talk about how to apply the right kind of stress at the right time.
That’s what the formula does. Before I switched to Athena, I also dialed back by nitrogen about week 6 depending upon the strain.
Im using cana nutrients but i also have a bottle of fade. How would i use fade with cana nutrients. Do i stop all nutrients an fees fade and cleanse last 2 weeks.
first 3 weeks, stress with high media ec, and generative conditions. creates tighter nodal spacing, less stretch, as well as more bud swelling.
@@holyNodesstretch is nice though especially dealing with any z genetics.
Hey guys I run a commercial grow here in oklahoma, I'm using proline and the gals love it i would like to talk to yall about stacking and flushing more

Is proline organic?
It is! But in powder form

Try rooted leaf nutrients carbon based plants grow insane
Would anyone have any suggestions on how to cause the late stress recommended if using biobizz organic line?
Organics already does stress plants

What is "stacking"? Thanks!
Stacking nutrients in the substrate is achieved through using high frequency irrigation events to build up the optimal level of nutrients for the plant in the stage of growth that you're in. With a raw powder like the Pro Line, the EC needs to be built up specific ranges throughout the plants life. Establishing a good irrigation strategy using moisture content sensors to hit perfect dry backs would be ideal.
@@WeTheGrowersoh never knew this
So dont flush?
Flushing is for those that over feed.
That's gross man!
Dream Beans seeds are the best
Been wanting to run them on my next round of autos... how they growing for you?
Ok what is 2E and 3E ?

I love how these dudes are just now figuring out what I’ve known for two decades.
they are sharing, not like you sitting with your information in your moms basement
As a Nectar grower, I understand that different inputs raise different terpenes. Fish bone meal increases VSCs, hog bone meal increases "herbal" terps, cow bone meal increases all terps in a well-rounded fashion, and feather meal increases fruity terps. Guano can increase a specific terpene, "guanine" I think it's called. It helps to get familiar with a genetic and experiment with different inputs.
