It's been about four years since I've checked you out. I used to play your Who covers in my "office" mezzanine to my fellow engineers. We all dug and appreciated your Who piano covers. In fact when things got tense (Aerospace) I'd put you on and crank up the volume on my speakers. Thanks for your music and posting.
Impressive cover!!! All the parts were done really well. You're singing is spot on and that piano playing was excellent. I love how you did all the guitar parts piano style. Very well done
I don't why anyone would ding your vocals. It's a tough song to sing, and you do a great job with it! A little cracking is nothing for a professional sound engineer to edit around. Really terrific work.
I am visiting with an old marching band friend's family for Thanksgiving, and when I played this video with the two-year-old on my lap, he was FASCINATED by the correlation between hearing the music and seeing the keyboards and drums played. He would NOT let me scroll down to make this comment as it put the piano out of view and he insisted on watching it out... I think you have provided a great tutorial for a budding keyboardist - he pointed to the piano and said "Want one!"
Great job. Thanks a lot for sharing it. I think you did a great job on the vocals. Better than some Daltry performances I've heard. Good luck to you and I look forward to checking out some of your other stuff. Have a nice day.
Absolutely incredible performance. Don't let them get you down about your singing. It was top notch. You've got talent son, keep it up. You just earned yourself a new subscriber.
Holy hell this was sick! I would’ve really killed for a little guitar riff in the background with that piano. It’s incredible the way you substituted the piano for the strings.
Glad to see a new video. The baba o'riley cover is still the best cover I have ever heard of that song (piano does the song great justice). Also, your voice is 100% stronger than all your previous videos. Either its a new mic, new recording method, or just voice exercises, you sound great. Keep up the great work.
Tim Kelley has a great Podcast and uses the instrumental part for his intro/outro, Was totally hypnotized by the keyboard work. Took me forever to find this. Thanks for great music! Do an instrumental only version. Would be sick.
I Shazamed it but it came up with "Last Known Position" by Ryan Teague and "Eminence Front" by the Who. Thankfully doing a search on "Eminence Front piano" brought this up as the top result. Only just started listening to Timothy Kelley but so far so good.
this one of my favourite who songs and I love your version with the piano ........ awesome...... wish I could jam with you.......on guitar....I'm going to learn this.... thanks !!!!!!!
Damn, this is so good! I'm watching and listening to this video for 100th time! I'd buy you a MIDI cable so you can record it! I'd play it! All the best once again!
Phenominal. I listen to this funky groove and wonder what a classical composer like Bach or Mozart would think of it. You should stand when you sing for greater diaphramatic breath support.
Man that intro is so badass. Never delete this.
YEAH... YEAH...I AGREE!!!
I won't
It's such an awesome song. Thanks for watching my rendition.
Glad you started posting again after a decade absence! I still watch Join Together weekly!
@@BobbyGeneric145 really?... weekly. Thank you.
@@stewboz83 its tapered off but i did capture the audio from it so I can just listen whenever
The passion behind this cover is commendable!!
Thank you. I really wanted to perform it to the best of my ability. I love Pete Townshend and the Who.
An ambitious effort and it totally pays off :) Introduction is especially skilled playing!

Great
Yeah, I meant Pete. I'm getting old. Great job on the video. I just listened to it again.
Thomas Cole youre not getting old. youre listening to some kids cover of Eminence Front, thats not the action of the old. +1 to you.
you added a jazzy undertone that I like, its a cover but at the same time its something original, BTW holy smokes the original song is a masterpiece
I didn't think of it as jazzy, but thats cool. Thanks for the props
Why don't you upload anymore, like wtf man. I'd PAY to see more stuff like this! Well not really but you know...
I know I wouldn't be satisfied with any of the recording quality I'd get with my current set up, and I'm too indecisive and poor to improve it. :P
Absolutely incredible performance. Don't let them get you down about your singing. It was top notch.
You've got talent son, keep it up.

very nice. really enjoyed it. now I'm learning your version from this video
This is way cool. Nicely done!
Dude, this is perfect. Intro is beautiful.
Holy hell this was sick! I would’ve really killed for a little guitar riff in the background with that piano. It’s incredible the way you substituted the piano for the strings.
This remains, after several years, one of my favorite covers of this excellent oft-overlooked Who song...
Excellent hard work Stew, I love it !!!
That was way cool. this was the first song ive heard of yours so now i will have to check out some more!
sounds good! im so happy you are making new videos again :)

Awesome! One of my favorites also. You have an almost identical drum set to me cymbals and all. LOL,. Great work!
cool. yeah, I really like the set. Thanks for watching
this is the most awesome put on yet
Man! you are making magic with your Who covers. Watched them all a bunch! I'm a fan! Keep it up!
This is awesome. I remember when I heard this song live. Such a unique song. Your vocals are dead-on when the song concludes. Pete would enjoy this.
Maybe a little late to the party, but glad to find this. Excellent job and will inspire me to study it. You kill it!
70s huh? It does remind me a bit of what they did with the woodstock footage.
Nothing short of amazing
Of all the awesome videos you've done this is the most awesome.
Toughest job on RUclips: covering Roger Daltry's vocals.
BAD ASS!!!!! Wow!
wow, if only some of your old videos were made this way. great job.
Well done. I thoroughly enjoyed this
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Glad to see your back making top quality performance videos :) I hope you do some more songs by The Who. Hopfully 'Athena' will be in there :D
This is one of the coolest things I've stumbled across on youtube!!
You did a great job with this song! (I especially liked the piano)
This acoustic rendition is amazing!
One of my favorite Who songs too. Cool how you slid the video in as you went along. Real good job....

Rocked it dude. Good job. Thanks for inspiration.
Love the grit in your voice... Keep it up dude.

whoa….when you sing the chorus, the voice has a horn-like timbre. especially on the attack notes (eminence front, just like a cornet).
Unususal something in your voice - its Wow!

Feels like 2009. Nostalgic.
An awesome performance there, young man.
Nice chops! Here I thought I would try to play along on the piano, I was sadly mistaken.
