I'm gonna give you guys a story to go along with this ost. As a hopeless romantic I can't help but add love in my stories. Don't worry, It's not gonna be too long of a story. In case someone wants me to make a longer version, do tell. I don't know when it started happening. At this point it feels like a distant memory, but at the same time, it feels like no time has passed at all. I started having these dreams of a ravine surrounded by waterfalls. The water was so clear, the smell of the wet grass and the smell of the wet wood of the trees, the smell of the flowers, it felt otherworldly. In these dreams there is a small island covered with grass and flowers in that ravine, and in the middle of it is a wooden table. At that wooden table sat a girl. Her hair reached all the way to the ground. She always wears this pristine sun dress that complemented her blonde hair. She never says anything or moves. She just drinks tea. i tried many times to talk with her, and as the stress in my life accumulated, I dreamt of her so much to the point where I look forward to going to sleep every night. At some point I stopped struggling to get her to talk and just sat down on the opposite chair. To my surprise she poured me a cup of green tea. Another difference is that she always had her eyes closed, as if she was melting into her surroundings, but this time her eyes are open. And she is looking straight at me. I've never had anyone look at me like that before, her wide smile, her azure eyes that looked like the sky above us... My heart started racing and i didn't know how to react. When I finally couldn't hide it anymore, she just closed her eyes and smiled at me, her pristine white teeth showing. I couldn't help but laugh at myself. I understood then. The inner peace I felt in those dreams, the tranquility, the lack of stressing factors, I needed that. I kept dreaming about that place and about her for months. I later learned that her name was Karina. The first time I started feeling something, was three months in. It was the same as every dream I had before it. However one thing was different. The landscape had started to slowly wilt away. The once beautiful flowers around us were gone, the trees clearly looked like they were dying, and the water flowing from the waterfalls had gradually started to become less and less clear. Something was happening, but I chose to put it in the back of my mind and keep enjoy myself as much as I could. One day, Karina started speaking. "How are you today?" I was so shocked I let go of my cup of tea. Karina sighed when that happened. "You're so clumsy, I swear..." She said as she poured me another cup of tea. "S-Sorry... but how can you speak?" Karina looked at me, confused. "I-I thought--" "Don't go ahead and just assume things like that. I could always talk, I just wanted to enjoy my time with you in peace." I couldn't help but feel ashamed. "What are dreams, Karina?" She then turned her head away to look at the sky. "These dreams are your mind's attempt of leaving the stress." "Then--" "This is not a lucid dream." I was stumped. "What these dreams are exactly... doesn't matter much. Come here." I got up and started looking where she was looking. "You see the water at the top of the waterfall?" I could see... It looked like it was a push away from becoming muddy. "Why is it like that?" Karina then looked at me, seeing right through me. "Your stress. It's getting worse." "What?" "Simply put, you have seeped away too much positive energy from the Streams of Eden." "Streams of what?! What does that haave to do with anything?!" I didn't intend to explode like that. "This is our last time together, Chris." My heart fell into the depths of my stomach. I felt bad for not feeling bad about it, but I had to ask. "Will I ever get to see you again?" Karina looked at me in disapproval. "No." After that, it all just came out of my mouth. "But I... The time I spent with you was the best time of my life. I... I...." Karina kept looking at the sky and ignored me. "The way you sometimes tried to sneak a look at me, your smile that is so enveloping, so warm, the look in your eyes... And recently, when I told you about things that happened to me in the day, your laughter that is so unrestricted and so candid. It truly feels like you were laughing with me. You made me feel special... and the dreams that I get to spend with you feels like something for just the both of us. I..." "Chris..." Karina said, after finally looking at me. "I love you Karina. I am so in love with you it hurts. i honestly wish I could spend the rest of my time with you, but i do realize that It's just a dream." Karina didn't say anything. "I've never been extroverted or enjoyed socializing much... but Karina... you were the only one..." "The only one?" "The only one who I could connect with. I've never met a person in my life, with which I felt this kind of connection, just sitting down and drinking tea...." I started crying as I finished pouring my heart out. "Chris... I'm sorry...." I was on my knees, on the ground. Karina rushed to hug me. Her embrace was so warm, so enveloping, and for that reason, it hurt even more. Knowing that I will never experience this again... Right after she embraced me, I lost consciousness and woke up on a hospital bed. I later learned that my life up to that point was just a dream and I was in a coma for five years. I suppose that my dreams with Karina were a dream within a dream. It was a great shock at first, I had no idea what to do. I cried a lot though. Not because I miss my old life, or any of the people I knew, I cried because Karina probably knew. She did her best to the every end and didn't say a word about it. I felt empty, without a person and with no current attachment to this world I tried to kill myself a couple of times. If I could see her again as my life was about to end, I would have been grateful and would have died as a happy man. It happened yesterday. I had made sure that no one followed me and made sure to search myself for anything that could be used to track my location. I then went to the nearest bridge and jumped. I didn't know these parents or any of the other people that were around me when I woke up. I didn't care about them. I didn't feel bad. I had no one to say sorry to. As I was falling, the life I had lived for the longest time passed in front of my eyes. I probably was like this before I felll in a coma, and for that, I felt genuinely sorry. I then closed my eyes and waited to hit the ground. Instead of feeling the impact of my body falling at high speeds with the cement, I felt like something stopped my fall. So I opened my eyes. There she was. "Karina... ?" She had caught me before I hit the ground somehow. When I look in her eyes, she just gave me the same smile I knew. "Sorry it took me so long, Chris." She then kissed me.
I've seen this place! it was during a road trip with my family going to my aunt's place in a different city. Just missing the falls in the far back but it was a place nearly just like this!
