    This is how I trim out my stairs as well. Should be standard in my opinion but I see a lot of really poorly trimmed decks around here in VT. It’s refreshing to see others caring about quality.

    • @ravinbuilders
      @ravinbuilders  7 месяцев назад

      It’s the starborne gun manufactured by muro but it’s been discontinued. Still for sale but I believe you be able to get screws at some point

      @ravinbuilders  7 месяцев назад

      @@jackpanneton7251 I mean this is the one we’ve had for a while now, Fastenmaster has one but it’s a stand up model I believe and I don’t think they have stainless for it yet. Check it out though, or maybe try to pick one of these up and buy out the screws you can find..

    So is this a 45 degree back cut for the riser miter?

  • @deeeeeeps
    @deeeeeeps Год назад +1

    Have a hard time believing those miters will stay good. Does the glue melt that plastic together? Water gets behind it and expands when it freezes.

    • @ravinbuilders
      @ravinbuilders  Год назад +2

      Yes. PVC adhesive creates a stronger joint than the rest of the linear product of applied correctly. Once cured if you try to separate the miter it will brake at either side but not the joint.

    what's your go to PVC adhesive?

    • @CMCraftsman
      @CMCraftsman 6 месяцев назад

      I like 2P 10 but you have to be careful, the activator will stain pvc so I don’t use the activator. White hot works well too.

    Thanks for showing how to properly miter skirt board and risers. I’d say nice work but we both know THAT SHITS ON POINT 🤪
