We Hosted 50 Contractors To Teach STEEL Deck Framing!!
With alternative deck framing becoming the normal for elite outdoor builds, providing education on the installation techniques is in high demand. We partnered with several of our typical deck material brands for steel framing, decking, fasteners, lighting, and helical piles to put on this event.
Our ultimate goal was to collaborate, educate, and network. The event was a total success, and the feedback from all attendees has been so motivational.
It’s an honor to have the opportunity to pass on our experience to other builders all over the country to elevate the outdoor living space, especially the alternative framing space.

Amen brother… nice saw by the way. 💪🏼
Well who cares why all the net for it's just keyboard warriors and sit behind a desk
Zero => Expensive Deck.
In California, that would cost an extra $5,000 and it would look like a 5-year-old did it. Ca is losing all the good tradesmen.
@@ALookBackInTime 😢
It was a stupid move without the customer's approval. If he okays it then makes you remove it because of internet comments then maybe do it for cost?
Great work brother, I wish I could tag along for some learing
How much did you charge if you didn't charge?
You had me until the last couple saw cuts with the reverse nicely played
Ask a question that the answer will never be right
Thought it looked awesome! Costumer should have been grateful. This sucks hope its a joke! 🫠
Never had a problem with treated wood
Wow you have some serious carpenter skills
Hahaha reverse
I agree with this but my boy cut the post 1/4 to short 😶🌫️😶🌫️😂
Damn this is exactly why I don't have a RUclips for my business. I think it looked pretty sweet.. all that matters is that you did a good job and the person paying you likes it.
It's playing in reverse.
That thing looked awesome!!
Looks good tbh. The internet is filled with people who do nothing but lie and hate sit there for hours watching videos on something they haven’t done once lol
The vid is in reverse (satire)
Having pride in your work is a lost art anymore. Most do the minimum and then wonder why they are not successful in life.
@@Troy-y5b I totally agree, yet this is actually a minimum standard requirement that most don’t follow either 🤙🫡
I think its over kill to cut the post3 times just flip it over after first cut
@@merkn247 don’t tell me what to do
Hey I think the spray bottle is a bit overkill
@@thebeastfromthemiddleeasta6554 cool, don’t use one.
@ sarcasm
It’s actually recommended by the manufacturer to treat any cut edges
Love that sweat band brother! One of my first RUclips videos is titled Big Deck Energy. Keep up the good work!
😂
How we do the little things, is how we do everything. Good work.
Treating cut ends is required by both IRC Code and manufacturers. If you don't do it, you're low quality
You cut that short
@@crisstites4591 guess what? You’re wrong 😂
I work in IT and have barely any tools but this is beautiful and love seeing the walk through!
Then why don't you spray the whole post with extra treatment......pretty sure the lumber is injected with treatment. ?
First of all, that fucking post was way too short dumbass.
Those are the people that don’t take pride in their work 😪😪😪
Seems smart to me just another layer of protection if ur gonna spend money on something dont u want it to last i do I enjoy learning so thanks for the video man ppl are funny everyone knows everything or a better way we all have our own ways 😅
What’s more important? saving a few seconds, or keeping the wood good for years to come? The answer is clear to me.
But you’re mad… so you make a whole video… on something I’ve never heard of…
@@seanthomas8199 you pause an awful lot for a comment saying nothing
You love the beef 🥩… at least it gives you something to do.
These guys in Rhode Island?
@@10p56 we are 🤙
Cost= Fun and Photographs. Heck of a price.
Dont throw or drop your saw.
Bruh, LABEL your boxes as you add them.
@@jamesdickens7666 sure I’ll just hop in my Time Machine and 3d print them
@ 3D print? Tape and a sharpie will do fine.
When you say, "Fosner bit," do you mean "Forstner bit?"
@@jamesdickens7666 what do you think?
@ I think you don’t know the correct names of your tools.
Gefällt mir besser, als der Olympia Schwachsinn 👍🙂
심심하면 안돼...
Got to love makita saws
Whenever I do jobs and people want to do something different and artistic, I always do it for free. I'm more than happy to try something cool and getting the opportunity doesn't happen a lot so we're given the opportunity. I don't even think about money. I'm more excited about doing the work
The 2x4 is wedging it up
Less about the spare, more about his saw placement
This solid blocking seems standard for picture framing deck stairs but in the PNW this just creates a place for debris and moisture to collect. Is this really an easier and better long term solution then cutting two extra stringers
I feel like I can gang cut stringers faster than I can cut and install all that blocking...
The porch I'm building now with super flimsy scalloped Trex stuff is 9" O.C. (per mfg guidelines on steps). With a landing and two runs I'm either cutting 16 stringers or doing a shit ton of blocking with PT lumber
He charged zero dollars because he can’t charge his wife. 😂
I’ll help you. People on social media LOVE to criticize. Makes them feel good. Do your own thing, or don’t post if you don’t want the criticisms, cuz that’s what’s coming.
@@detangojet it’s all engagement, just like this reel. I’ll keep posting lol, haters welcome.
@ 👍
Sounds like you’re the one bothered
Amen brother . People today don’t see the value in taking your time and doing the best job you can . They want it fast cheap and done well all at the same time . Like wanting champagne on a beer budget . They are out of touch with reality
Profit on decks must be lit! lol im in the wrong business. Looks awesome mate
