Her music has been my longest and truest companion since 2008 when I found her. It came to stay and never left. I hope she knows what her music means to many of us 🤍
What you said about her songs evolving over the years is very true! Although I do have mixed feelings about her newer releases. Her earlier music has more life, joy, spark, variety, naivety and charm. Things started changing from 'Metals', with even the most upbeat track from that album (Circle and the line), sounding just the least bit world weary
@@lequinntessential I agree that it changed over the years, but that‘s her path. Maybe you‘ll need to find the right time to connect to those newer albums, but they‘re as true as her first ones :)
Metals was a soundtrack to my spring/summer after high school, thank you for opening with The Circle Married the Line 🤍✨️ the new tracks sound great too
Metals was a soundtrack of a hurtful breakup. Now I'm friends with my ex. Listening to that album brings a lot of feelings, nostalgia, and happiness. The power of music, thank you, Leslie Feist.
Such a wonderful human being ❤. She’s carried me through 25 years of ups and downs. A wise soul that I hope my daughter who was born in 2019 can also appreciate when she is older.
I'm 68, I've seen Floyd do DSOTM, Genesis (The Lamb), Zeppelin (Physical Graffitti), Springsteen (The River), Radiohead (Kid A), Julien Baker (and boygenius) and over 1300 other gigs so far in my life (still going to lots, despite living 100+ miles from London for the last 45 years). I've even seen Joni live, but when I see Leslie Feist on something like this, or in the flesh of course (only twice so far, incl the sublime Multitudes show), I always get goosebumps! She is simply an artistic genius (alongside Joni and Miles).
Fantastic performance and talent! Phenomenal production! KEXP has absolutely perfected the engineering behind a warm, crisp, real, immediate live production! 🥰
Yep, Feist! I love her music. As a singer/songwriter she is fearless. Always something new, interesting, and exciting. I am so glad to see her performance in such an intimate setting. I will be watching this performance often. Plus, the interview is also very thoughtful.
Seeing her tonight in Fredericton, NB and I'm so stoked. You know when someone whips out an old gnarly guitar like that with a pickup that you're going to hear some nice songs. Love you all KEXP.
When he was around one year old, my son absolutely loved Feist as she sang 1, 2, 3, 4 at Sesame Street. I’d not listened to her much by then, but her music kept growing in me to this day. Just beautiful!
I play classic rock covers in a band. It's fun. But when I see performances like this, I can't help but feel that it must be the absolute best thing a musician could ever do. What an honor and privilege to be part of something like this.
Such great music, an absolute genius taking her musicians and us into a beautiful, magical place. Her Multitudes tour was one of the most inspiring shows I ever experienced.
The uk from ‘the basement’ performance with Charles spearing and mountain man was probably the best ever performance you’ll ever see from feist. Hopefully it’s available to you to watch!
I agree. I've been searching out that final Charles Spearing tune from Feist's Basement performance "Vanessa" for years. Its so powerful and beautiful.

❤❤❤❤❤
😂😂😂😂😂
I've had harder periods in my life and hers was the only music I was able to listen, the only that would bring me comfort
Such a beautiful and unique voice, absolutely love her stuff.
Metals is one the best albums ever made. I listen to that and OK Computer like every day.
Metals is absolutely incredible s2 This last album of hers Multitude is also reeeally beautiful and well crafted song writing-wise
i can’t believe she played century, i’m crying 🥹
I love how Feist carry her songs through life and let them evolve with her 🤍

Good thing it finally happened! She's awesome, she has been all these years. Great band!
Hearing and seeing Circle Marries the Line live was truly beautiful
Thank you KEXP, for the lovely way you present these awesome artists.

Metals is such a perfect album ❤️❤️❤️

Century was an absolute highlight!!!!!

I love her music.I listened to the album Metals on repeat while living in Norilsk, Russia, in the far north.

God I love Leslie Feist so much.
Underrated artist.
Unappreciated
I have the reminder on cd. I did see her playing one song In Dublin when supported arcade fire 2 years ago.
Then she left the tour because the allegations against arcade fire singer will butler at the time.
Gosh she's just the best.
Feist is a class act. I especially love how effortless she looks playing guitar💯Great video!

Lol, I used to listen to that with my nephew when he was a baby constantly, such fond memories.
Hoping Feist comes back to the US to tour!!!!
She always sounds better live than on record. I don't know that ive ever thought that of any other artist.
bless Feist and her band
One of the greatest of all time.
A truly underrated talent. Her voice still sounds amazing and she has written so many incredible songs.
A true talent... hard to put into words. Thank you Feist xo

Don’t sleep on the keys player Rose Droll original music !
Between this and Tiny Desk, Feist is back on top!
I'd never heard of her before TD...and now this performance so soon after! The stars have aligned.
❤her music
i can't believe this hadn't happened before. but im so glad this exists now 🧡

She is perfect 😍
What a great song to start the set with.
Glad she plays some old stuff too. ❤
Great live set, with a top notch drummer!
My fav singer
Most beautiful voice🎶 so enjoyable, Merci!
You are absolutely right :)
Such great music, an absolute genius taking her musicians and us into a beautiful, magical place. Her Multitudes tour was one of the most inspiring shows I ever experienced.
I first heard 'em when one of their songs was featured in the show Legion. never stopped a show just to search up and follow a band that fast
Calgarys own Feist ! So proud of all you have accomplished! From Placebo to now you are a wonderfully talented artist!
Saw her play a bar with about 50 people in it before she made it. Consumate performer. Showed up in spades.
I would love for these to be put on Spotify!!!!
As in these specific recordings 🙃
Great!
love her so so much!
Outstanding Artist with a great band !
Leslie is still great.. always so great.. - I've adored her since "Leisure Suite"
Brilliant
I Love Feist. And what a band! ❤
This on the AKG k72 is a must have experience.

simply wonderful, makes me feel proud to be Canadian again...
I wish I were Canadian.
@@HAL9007 Then you've never walked down Main and Hastings street in Vancouver...
Great!! Long time since hear you ... welcome back!
I lOVE YOU FEIST! ❤
New to me, enjoyed the set. The drummer/percussionist is exceptional..
He also drums in The Barr Brothers. Their music is exceptional too, they play kind of African desert blues along with an incredible harpist.
I wish you could give a video more than one thumbs-up.
Great performance of the song! It was really fun to listen to...

@@harveydean7952 it’s on the happiness project album, I’ve got it downloaded via iTunes but rarely play it as it makes me a bit emotional!😬😬
Is this seriously her first time playing on KEXP?!? Just exquisite...
Maravilla.

This is SO INCREDIBLE!
1234 had a grip on me in 2004
God bless feist! She puts the art in artist! (Don't ask me what that means but it's true)
With Loudermilk as a session drummer.
10/10
Amazing👋

My goodness, she's so good. That version of Century 🤯 although I did miss the wonderful dialogue from Jarvis
She helped me get through Iraq. Thanks.

Did I miss 'Love who you are meant to'??
Incredible set, thank you!

FEIST NICE
This is actually excruciating--not merely bad.
Oh but Gatekeeper ❤

Sounds like it's running through a distortion pedal
Why the hell have i never heard these before?
Gosh, I wish I could rediscover her for the first time all over again! Feist really is something special!
she's not allowed to age, stop it
