Next to this music being fanfastic in many ways, the sound of the individual instruments and singing is balanced wonderfully. The sound engineer did an excellent job!
@@rtcastleberry It's not just the boredom that descends every time I hear her, it's that her generation of female singers clip and cut off every vowel painfully as if they have had two thirds of both lungs removed.
Proud and happy to say I grew up (and grew, period) on her music. This is so beautiful. Cried twice this week on the 30+ times I listened to this song. The simplicity but also the sophistication and meaning... this is the kind of shit I wish I could compose.
God bless her, she absolutely destroyed this concert. start to finish, captivating, memorizing, magnificent, beautiful. words cannot express. thank you so much!
I'm always in awe of such talented artists. Leslie elevates us. I know I'm better for listening to her music. Just a thought... I'd love to hear a duet with Tom Waits.
She's great but I can't help the feeling that she's getting a little bit lost when it comes to songwriting. The occasions she's hauntingly good is when she does great cover versions or duets for example with Jeff Tweedy ( You and I )
Thank you for uploading. I've been dying to find anywhere to listen to this live version of "When I Was a Young Girl". It's my absolute favorite performance ❤

every now and then, this session comes up and i have to find and watch it. thank goodness it's on RUclips, for now. Else, I'll have to search the CDs and or DVD backups.
Indeed! But the song is actually titled "Mushaboom", and takes its name from -- and pays homage to -- a rural community in Nova Scotia, on the east coast of Canada.
When this was removed the first time I couldn't find it anywhere. The only full concert I've took the time to download separate each track, but I still freaked because I wanted to be able to watch it. Hope this can stay up forever. She's one of my favorite people, and this is an incredible performance.
I don't know what to do with comments about singer songwriters "sexiness" and "beauty" except throw them in the trash. Appreciate--or don't--the music, please.
Wonder if Beyoncé or Lady Gaga for instance can do anything like this ? She didn’t have to jump about dancing with her arse out to be amazing 😂 pure musician. This woman is a genius and worthy of more recognition. Utterly brilliant. Been listening for a long time, come back now and again to this to recognise what is possible, live.
You can actually buy this if you really want to keep it legally. Just look for "feist trabendo dvd" (I pulled this from another comment below somewhere)
Right the way she fades away from the mic, I'm glad Simone brought this up. It's a good thing I don't think she's ripping her, cause no offense to patty but Liz is a bit better
This performance needs to be released on Blu-ray and 4k! It needs to be remembered by our children.

Leslie is an artist underestimated by the general public and by professional critics. Love her songs ❤ from 🇨🇵
"The Built Up" is my absolute favorite. Marvellous, and stunning.
I can never get enough feist. She is a beauty and an honorable musician.

This is why live music MATTERS!!!!!

This absolutely shocked me how good this was. I need to see her live. She puts on an actual show.
Fuck yes.
Exactly!!!! This performance is one of the greatest ever. This is co.ing from a tool fan as well.
Feist has always been amazing...I am in awe every time I watch this concert, or any of her performances.
I’ve listened to this set dozens of times over the years. Always coming back to it

Thanks for posting this again! My favorite Feist live performance! Had been missing it. =D

The xylophone and tuba interlude in gatekeeper is divine
I simply adore this version of Secret heart. Can't get enough. This masacre of the guitar, her look, everything.

Last song is Broken Social Scene's "Major Label Debut" off the album Broken Social Scene
"I Feet it All" should also be retitled as "Mushaboom", a reference to the town of the same name from Feist's Let it Die album.
Tatjana Milosevic she's in BSS songs x maybe she used to be in the band. Love her 💞
It is of course "the saddest part of a broken heart" from "Let It Die".
Tatjana Milosevic xo.
Thank you for posting this. I wish there were more live performances of her work.
same!! ive been a fan of hers for over a decade and i finally got to see her in concert last summer. she’s even more amazing in person.

I love this rendition of Mushaboom with the flugelhorn. So much more mellower than with the trombone.
