Nice video, first time I've seen anyone have to remove the coil pack to install the inlet pipe. Still undecided if I'll bother to be honest, I can't imagine it would make that much difference.
I've just had my turbo elbow, inlet hose, golf r PCV/breather hose & ramair panel filter delivered today, I'm looking to fit them tomorrow on my 6C Polo GTI 👍🏻 Did you disconnect the battery before removing the coil packs, harness/ground wires? Thanks for your help/video.
@@ColoredinLight thanks for the quick response! Plans for my Polo are to put a Golf GTI turbo in, 300-330bhp should be plenty enough power in a Polo... 😅 Thanks again for your help 👍🏻
I had an incredibly hard time putting the PVC hose onto the new pipe. I had to grease it up and even break down the plastic tension ring on the inside a bit to get it to slip on... was it easy for you to get on???

Hey! So I just bought a 2016 GTI Autobahn PE a month ago and just purchased a cold air intake from Integrated Engineering. If you're looking for an affordable intake, DEFINITELY look into that one. They're so affordable and popular theyre actually on back order right now. I subbed to your channel as well because I'm still learning new things as well!
Anything to note with a bit of a longer term review? Just ordered the same TIP along with the silicon hose for less than what either of those go for from a name brand manufacturer.
Before you installed this did the engine make that blowoff sound when you let off the throttle when you revved it? You know that whoosh when you step off the gas.
@@ColoredinLight how’s your low end throttle response? From the information I have gathered open air filters aren’t as good performance wise but good for noise. I know that most induction kits are twice the money but I think they work better.
@@Matiaspom862 I had to grind and file off the top of the pcv nipple thing maybe could mm down just be careful it’s really soft metal but I eventually got mine in
don’t stop making gti videos , thank you !
I wont!
Your intro’s are the best, feels very nostalgic and I’m not even from the US ☺️
I know these get lower views than the Miata videos, but im sure it'll catch on eventually with the GTI community
Interestingly enough, my wife drives a MK7.5 GTI and I have a 2013 MX-5, so this channel is just about perfect.

Miss my 12 GTI but my NC is the love of my life. What a great choice for a DD though!
My DD is a 09 Si and occasionally 18 Rubicon so not to bad. But GTI's are the OE hot hatch
For sure! I was interested in the Si but overall wanted the hatch

I didn't disconnect the battery! Good luck with your installs!

It was pretty tough. At one point I thought I had it, and just double checked with a rug and it came right off. Had to really force it on
Had a hard time too.

I'll check it out, thanks!
375£ in UK, I don’t call that affordable. Ramair is half that price, that’s affordable.
Did you get a boost leak del with this , I properly installed it and get a air intake leak , wich idk how cause double cheked everything twice
Nope

Nothing of note!

No this won't have anything to do with that.
@@ColoredinLight damn I really like that sound, guess I gotta buy a bov. thanks for replying anyway.
Any difference on the road?
Marginal, with an oem intake set up its not too different. Once you add the other bits it helps.
@@ColoredinLight I’m happy you reviewed this, I found it today and it’s on my shopping list. What are the other bits you’ve done to see difference?
For the intake? Turbo inlet pipe and an AEM open filter intake. Makes good noises. Otherwise, need a tune

Got mine in after grinding down the pcv part a bit 💀 far out was a mission
I’m doing it now and man it won’t go in no matter why I do . What did you grind down , the outside ?

Do you have the link for this specific part on ebay??
No
How long did it take you ?
To install? Not long.
How is this part holding up on you gti?
All good
