Yo bro what other stability focused exercises do you know? I’ve been microadjusting my back activation and tapping into my posterior chain. I can finally hook equally and punch pretty with fairly equal power. I want more though
Of all the exercises recommended from watching so many videos this is the only one that i can feel working the muscle. I didn’t have a kettlebell so I put some weights in a knapsack and used that instead. Thank you!
Silly question, but does it matter if the kettlebell is in front or behind the wrist? Which is better? I wear an Apple Watch while training and was wondering if I could have it in front of my wrist rather than rather in the video Thank you!!
I'm sure you've found what works for you by now but I sit it on the back of my wrist towards the inside. Just twist your watch the opposite direction. I imagine if you held the kettle bell inside it would feel heavier and cause more instability depending on your strength 🤷🏽♂️
Does your injury feel stable and have you been working on other core stability exercises? If yes, go for it with bodyweight or light weight. I have an L3-L4 injury (20 years old now 🤯) and this is my new favorite move. It does not need heavy weight to start. If your injury doesn’t feel stable, work on other core exercises. I love hanging leg raises and tuck holds from my pull up bar, bear crawl isometric holds, and overhead kettlebell press marches (where you press a kb overhead on one side and then march in place as high as your knees will go.) Good luck my fellow spine injury haver 🫡
Has pointer....touches with fingers
Love the Howler Monkey kettlebell!!
I love that this exercise focuses on isometric movements. It's great to see different variations of traditional exercises.
This exercise looks really effective for targeting the lower back. I need to give it a try to help with my back pain.
Started implementing this with my boxing workout routine now my pull counters are soooo much quicker.
