Thankyou Dr Kate, I can really see the positive effect of this as a practice and will endeavour to repeat it. Your 5 episodes on Fear helped me better understand the potential for our brains to change, so when I did this exercise with you, it all made sense. This is a wonderful resource. I really appreciate it. 🌈✨✨✨🥰

The more we practice it the more our brains links into the new possibilities. Neuroplasticity is so powerful (and cool!). I'm so glad it's supportive for you. This is one of my favorite ways to start the day and it does make such a tangible difference. 💖❤️💖

It's Sunday evening and started doing the exercise with you and stopped because I greedily wanted to start my Monday morning with this protocol. See you in the morning to get my week set! Thanks for posting this.

It's Monday morning and the exercise is completed. I am quite surprised to see it lasted 17 minutes as it felt much shorter.
I've noticed elsewhere that to depotentiate a single trauma point is recommended only five to seven minutes, then repeated and in other places it is said to take multiple rounds of ten to fifteen minutes. What are your thoughts on this?

Ha ha yes, 17 minutes! This one took on a life of its own as I was creating it. 🥰 I so appreciate your feedback and support. I'm curious to learn more about these time markers on depotentiating a trauma. As far as I am aware, there isn't research backing "time to depotentiate an acute trauma." Could you point possibly point me in the direction of this data? 😃

Could you recommend in between phrase(s) to use between "What if I can be calm" to "I will be/can choose to be calm" .I feel since I've been on "What if I can be calm" I've mastered that to 90% over a couple of months and "I can choose to be calm" gives me a push back gut reaction so I know I'm not ready for those.

Such strong work honoring your inner intuition. Amy’s throwing up a flag and letting you know she doesn’t feel safe. That’s a wonderful opportunity to return to CPR for the Amygdala to heal whatever push back is showing up or you can invite in an alternative phrase such as “I look forward to…” or transition to a more neutral phrase as an intermediary. You might also be running into relaxation induced anxiety. I talk about this more on my Tiktok channel. ☺️ Here’s the video: vm.tiktok.com/TTPdMDWBAD/

@@DrKateTruitt thanks! I'll give “I look forward to…” a go! Managed to remember to do CPR & creating possibilities for nightmares & I needed to do both to get relief, not gone completely but more hopeful as I did finally sleep better,I should have done them again after waking up to prevent more nightmares after falling back asleep, but I know it's working & I've finally been able to say "I can sleep calmly" without it feeling like a lie. As an unexpected side effect of doing both, when I became calm I stopped being irritable even though I was very tired & my thinking stopped going to places that are not helpful :) So thanks for that tiktok video!
