Press mode and down arrow for 3 seconds to alternate between Celcius and Fahrenheit. Then press down arrow while directed to indoor unit. You should see change in scale.

The up/down swing button allows you to stop the air gates wherever you want. Press again to begin gate sweeping again. The same goes for right/left swing.
