      @@lenoreduncan2817 yes .. they will accumulate water .. there is a drain bottom right I believe. if you have this one or whichever ones you have look at your manual and it should show you where the drain is and you're going to want to make sure if you don't have a tube or even if you do have a tube for it you will want to pull it up and set it on something because the water could leak on your carpet or wherever it is sitting on so you want something to catch that water.... if you do have a portable AC unit most of them have drain plugs and they all should, usually because of the water build-up and if you haven't ever empty yours I highly suggest that you empty it...

    so basically, a NOMA air conditioner seems to be created by Hisense (or vice versa), because the unit buttons & display are exactly the same, and even the disposition of buttons are the same on the remote control. But thanks, the display on your remote control explained me how to use it because on NOMA model, it's all symbols, and some just don't make much sense (a triangle to switch mode, a thermometer for the iFeel button, etc..

    Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    Is it supposed to turn off when it reaches the desired temp? Mine constantly runs.

    • @HisenseCA
      @HisenseCA  3 года назад

      It is fully dependent on the mode which you are using. In some modes, it will continue to run to maintain that temperature. Because if it turns fully off, the unit will not be able to automatically cool if the ambient room temperature raises too high.

  • @rickmcguire1080

    Why does my fan continue to run when the compressor is not engaged and set temp is above room temp. It continues to run and will not shut off.

    • @HisenseCA
      @HisenseCA  3 года назад

      Depending on what mode you have the unit set on, there could be a few things happening. If it is set to cool to a certain temperature, the unit will continue to run on fan, without the compressor, once that unit reaches that temperature (I believe this is smart mode). The fan must continue to run for the compressor to re-engage at a later time should the ambient temperature of the room warm back up. In another case, once you have "turned off the unit", it will continue to use the fan function - after a period of running, there would be some condensation on the evaporator, therefore the fan will keep running for about 20 - 30 seconds to dry it up to prevent moldy odours and bacteria growth inside the unit. After this 20-30 seconds blowing, the whole unit should stop. The user manuals detail good information about the functionality of the different modes - Cool, Sleep, Smart, etc. They all work slightly differently than one another. Please let me know if this has answered your question or if I have misunderstood something.

    How do you activate the sleep mode?

    • @HisenseCA
      @HisenseCA  4 года назад +1

      Sleep mode can only be used in Cooling, Heating, or Drying mode (not Smart mode). Pressing the sleep button on the remote control will set the fan speed to "low" automatically for 8 hours. After 8 hours, the unit will turn off automatically.
      In cooling mode, if the current room temperature is below 79F/26C, the temperature will automatically increase by 1C/F in the first hour after the unit has been running. If the room temp is above 79F/26C, the temperature will not change.
      In heating mode, the set temperature will decrease by 6F/3C, at most, during 3 hours, and continues to run at that temperature until shut off.
      1. Press Mode to select Cooling, Heat, or Dry.
      2. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the temperature
      3. Press SLEEP. After 5 seconds, the light on the unit will dim.
      Note, the PAC will return to regular settings once SLEEP MODE turns off.

      What is your PAC model - it should be an "AP-XXXXXXXX" number? I can help find directions for you. Typically you can use the Timer On and Timer Off function to set the unit to turn on and off at specific times.

      @@footballicons4424we don't sell that specific model here AFAIK, however, the generic instructions should still help. Step 1: ensure you have set the clock on the device. Press the clock button. Use the up and down arrows to set the time. Press "clock" again. Step 2: Press "Timer On" - use up and down arrows to set the time of day to turn on. Press Timer On again to confirm start time. You will hear a beep. Step 3: Press Timer Off and do the same steps as above to turn the unit off.

    Do you remove the window screen?

    • @HisenseCA
      @HisenseCA  4 года назад

      The window kit is meant to be installed in place of the door or screen. You'll need to open your window fully upwards or pull to the side to make the window kit fit. You cannot install this where there is a screen (unless you remove the screen, yes).

      @@mikkio5371 Did you receive a user manual with your purchase? We have one for Canadian models but I am unsure of where you are. The information I can see that relates to your inquiry is: Press the SMART button, the unit enters SMART mode(fuzzy logic operation) directly regardless of
      the unit is on or off. In this mode, temperature and fan speed are automatically set based on the
      actual room temperature. SMART button is ineffective in SUPER mode. Temperature, airflow and direction are controlled automatically in SMART mode.
      However, for the inverter you can choose from -7 to 7.If you still feel uncomfortable. If you want to receive a copy of our user manual (please note, Split AC units vary by country and model), please email us at canadainfo@hisense.com and we can provide one to you for reference.

      1. Press Timer On (12:00 should flash)
      2. Press up or down based on when you want the PAC to start
      Pressing once will adjust by a minute, holding the up or down for 2 seconds will do ten-minute intervals
      If you don't set the time within 10 seconds of pressing the Timer On button the unit will exit Timer automatically
      3. When your desired time is on screen, press TIMER ON to confirm
      4. Once it's displayed for 5 sec, the remote will revert to displaying the clock. AC will turn on automatically at the set time.
      To cancel or reset once you have set the timer, press TIMER ON, wait for beep and the indicator will disappear. TIMER ON has now been canceled.
