There's not anything you're missing in the skill tree by speccing into it though, so I would just in case. Also Sever the Thread probably doesn't proc from pixies, I was most likely just hitting things with my shotgun and being dumb.
Are you positive about that? I've been messing around with a build very similar to this all day and have had my best results with a +magic bullets class mod. Need to do more testing I guess

I've been playing Borderlands since 2009 and this is first time I've had real success with a build strategy. Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart. I went from basically counting on my boyfriend to finish the Chaos runs after my 3rd death on the last boss to freaking him out today when I tried your build and outdamaged him by a mile. He actually accused me of cheating which made my day!
Damn son I started grinding for the items for the spellshot/graveborn build after you posted that video and I still couldn’t get all the gear before you dropped this one.
just a heads up Nick, Smart Armor Legendary actually does not work and breaks on fast travel and after you enter the second room for the chaos chamber. The only time it works is on save quit boss farming. I'd replace the class mod with something else as it is currently broken until they fix it.
@@Lancerzor honestly damage in general is inconsistent. Farming the same boss for a cosmetic, I noticed sometimes I’d have to melee him like 15 times, and sometimes it would just take one. Each time, same setup, just cast FTS then a damage boosting sigil and smack him
I run dancing arc bolts and easily hit 4-6m dmg combined on test dummies, which also double dip when more enemies are near. Nearly kills all bosses in 1 hit. Dryl in cl35 run takes like 8-10 double casts.
You can also play with an armor with +3 in double knot, pick graveborn as your 2nd class and skill down to capstone. Use 2 ice spike spells and get 100% spell crit passively, so you also crit all the time without the need of from the shadows. And on top of that you get blast gasp procs too
I was doing this but using the pixies does do more damage. Moxsy actually did a deadshot build like that but he used pixies and the tide spell (can't remember exact name) and then the tripple ice spike spell. It works well and I added different gear to it to make it do more damage, especially to bosses, but this build does more damage. Just finished some chaos runs with it lol
You should swap out 1 point from sneak attack into contagion as it will give you even more damage when you double dip (Even just with 1 point because you're also using multiple status effects and dealing tons of damage through that alone which will also spread to other enemies.)

Sick build! For some reason I'm having trouble gettin good damage even with decent gear so I think for now ill have to farm the gear on my other character, still tho what a build!
Honestly this is a great build. Yeah yeah it’s pixies it may not be for everyone but here’s why I consider this so great… the gear. Or rather how you can do a lot of this with lack there of. You only need a few pieces to get this going and soon once you start optimizing you literally blow through raid bosses. It’s more of the skill tree. My gear went from average (self grind stuff), to almost optimized. And I can blow through raid bosses like never before. I also suggest gun rings over spell for whatever reason it interacts better with double knot or some other interaction. For necklace I’m using a primordial purple frost/spell. So there are lots of options to make this work and you don’t need exact things besides the correct weapons (make sure they are spell damage pixies!)
I wish they would write +80% spell damage instead of things like Pew, Zap, etc. I hate having to google it and most of the time, we cannot find anything. Thanks for the video!
So, at chaos level 9, I don’t have a buffmeister or cursed wit yet, and mostly have hydra weapons instead of pixies, but I tried this build out, and made sure that my spell, weapon, and shield slot all had the “on action start, get 40% gun damage” enchantment, and I gotta say, while I didn’t get an insta kill on chaos 7 Dryl, the hydras ate through each of his phases in less than 5 seconds, so I can only imagine the results getting better when I finally get that buffmeister, cursed wit, and that soaking rocket launcher (or armor)…
Really liking the build. I’m still farming away for a good Cape of Tides to try slightly different variants of this build. Even with max loot luck, RNG is never in my favour lol.
This is impressive min-maxing and finding synergies. Thanks for finding broken stuff like this and sharing the resulting carnage. That said, I honestly prefer Fl4K 2.0 more (and using no pixies on it; just the Nightshade and Liquid Cooling) because at least you have to stay on your toes and **shoot** everything. Pixie (grenade) chucking builds are theoretically interesting, but boring to play. Fl4K feels more "balanced" because you can mess up and not leave yourself a target in sight to get up on with a deathsave. But Fl4k also is strong enough to handle C35 intense (including all the raid bosses) if you keep your focus.
Fun fact: changing the gun damage rings to spell damage REALLY fucks up the damage. Idk why, I thought they would be better so I tried this build with my volatile spell rings instead of your gun ones. Nope.
I like to say that while your gear isn't a mod your stats are. There is no way to put 52 skill points into any stat. It does work but even with the exact same gear and weapons the best damage my pixies are doing is 400k not 3 to 4 million.

Going on a bit of a rant here... I've just given up. I've been grinding and grinding and grinding for what feels like forever, even before the update. I just don't get the gear I need. And when I do, the build still doesn't work. Even though I basically have everything needed for the build I don't deal enough damage. Even though I took the time to find every single collectible (including dices). Even though my "luck" is at ~52.000, I only get around 4 legendaries out of the chaosbunnies with 5000-10000 gems. I'm not even exaggerating. I wish I was lying but I'm not. It just doesn't feel rewarding doing the chaos chamber anymore since I know I'm gonna get nothing out of it. I easily get railed by Wastard. There's just no point in playing anymore. There's no reward. Just...nothing.
What would happen if the gun you have equipped was the elemental shotgun that shoots 2 elements in an X formation and you used a spell build instead of pixies? Would your frost spikes deal 2 different elemantal bonus damages? Say the shotgun has fire and dark, would your impale deal ice, fire, and dark in one cast on a crit?
@@TheDaveShowLP Thank you for testing that out! I'm glad I know now. I was curious because I was using quaking sunder and got a 3 element status effect, so I was curious since my testing ability is pretty weak.
Smart armored is bugged and it’s legendary buff stops working as soon as you leave a room and stays bugged until you save and quit. Triple ice spike will always proc double knot when in from shadows, has a short cool down and one shots most enemies (better than buff meister)
@@NickTew Not sure it matters, I am still insta killing everything without it. While not needing bullets for anything but removing spell colldowns and throwing guns around in the air. Double knot is just that broken atm. I should add, triple spike procs double knot, nothing low damage about it, you can literally just kill bosses spamming it. I tested with hexsextrous spamming triple spike x3 each one has 4 charges.
Amazing as always, but I was wondering if it would work without the launcher since I dont have the dlc nor im willing to get for the moment .. I mean how bad would it be without the soaking effect
If the pixies only scale off of spell and companion damage, then why would you be using rings with gun damage? Maybe I heard something incorrectly. Just curious :)

I basicly only have the pixie weapon (oh man i found like 100 wrong fearnots before getting it) and the launcher and chaos 22 was a joke. Still grinding up those levels.... weapon alone pushed me from 8 to whereever my push will end.
*cries in console player* PC Players will never understand the struggle of having to actually farm every single piece of gear in a build. It's nearly impossible.
@@cooldude1429 Part of the fun is making the build though. Like it's frustrating but at the same time it's more rewarding to farm. That's what the endgame's all about. I just wish it wasn't SO hard to get the needed pieces. & I don't want to just outright ask for it. Maybe a piece or 2 just to finish the build but don't want to ask for the whole build.

I made this, had a tediore pixie gun, popped shadows and started spamming pixies, but nothing much happens 😅 My morticulturist melts zomboss three times faster. Am i missing something?
I can only hit 4.3k for some reason with my pixies... no clue but I feel nerfed playing this build and don't know what I could add for another 6mil dmg per hit lol
Question regarding stats. I picked village idiot for my background story giving me +8 strength, so it capped at 38, im assuming your using your myth rank to get it to 52? As, for attunement the same thing to get it past 30?
Hey so i love ur build and i dont mean to put a downer on things however i do have a very similar build that does more dmg and im not trying to flex i would love to see you make a video out of it if you think its up 2 par with that being said all i did was use the melee gun build so i can proc executioner's blade then i just use a class mod which gives me 3/3 on double not so now when i go into from the shadows instead of using the queens cry or liquid cooling to proc executioner's blade now my pixies are doing it for me the dmg is nuts but a quick summary: Use melee gun build Use Class mod that gives you 3/3 double not Use pixies instead of queens cry to proc executioner's blade And lastly use spell dmg rings instead of melee it scales better remember its the exact same build as in the video so even tho you are using executioner's blade you should treat this as just as extra dmg not your main source that should be coming from pixies so you should scale to make them do more dmg. but i would be so happy to see you use this its not as tho u need it because either way the dmg is crazy but i promise this is even more insane have fun.

I did that as well, I thought my executioners blades shred, turns out its all just double knot with from the shadows, I unspecced excec. blades and still did pretty much the same dmg. Pixies proccing Executioners blade might seem like it does stuff, but in reality you could not specc into it and do about the same damage. better to spend those points into more double knot. At least that's what came from my testing
Utilizing executioners blade in theory could result in a tiny bit more damage overall, the issue is that the bosses die so quickly that you won't even notice it. The only boss you would maybe notice it would be on Tina, and you'd at best kill her 0.5s faster. I didn't want to over-complicate the build, because honestly it's unnecessary. People are already confused as it is and using the wrong pixie weapons & then blaming the build for being bad lmao. Don't want to add another layer of, make sure you have a spellbade & are trying to proc executioners, yada yada. I find it hard to believe your build does any noticeable amount of "Extra damage" How could you quantify that when everything dies in 1s ya know?
one thing has been eluding me is the mood rings with 100% roll ,,,,,i have gotten several ,,,,,,then i discovered they got nerfed a good while ago to 33% no wonder i couldnt find them ,,,,,,maybe these videos being a year old was a clue ......duuhhh hahahahahaha.

Stating factual information that I'm being dislike botted = playing the victim I guess gyazo.com/b6435566f9833f50cb1b2519f4cf93ae The "modded gear" I had on was a buffmeister with an enchant that's not supposed to roll on spells. Has literally 0 adverse effect on the build because that enchant can roll on any of the other 3 items, and the rest of the enchants were all global therefore able to roll on all 4 enchantable items. It's just typical hate mob with their pitchforks out. They read the title of a reddit post and jump to conclusions.

The Bouncing Guns also count as companions and there are some good guns you might be able to use. I REALLY think the SpellShot and Buffmister needs to be nerfed
Why nerf anything in a PVE game especially when it target only a specific class. If there's going to be a nerf, then it should be general. Let everyone feel the struggle!
Nah, every class in the game should be buffed to do spellshot levels of damage. It's not fun to shoot at a regular ass mob enemy for almost half a minute bc your class or weapons aren't powerful. It is fun to absolutely melt everything in a half second. Like 80% of the legendaries in this game need a MAJOR buff before any more nerfs come.
Those build are awesome keep going man. The only thing i dislike is how hard it is to find the right item for the build in this game. There's just too much in this game. I'm on my 5th chaos run and can't seem to find a pixie frost shotgun and/or the spellblade. There's too much variant of what we can get and i end up never getting what i want.
Have you tried spamming pistols from the bunnies at the end of your chaos runs? I was able to get a LOT of pixie guns that way, they seem relatively common.
Relatable. Spent a total of 30k crystals on pistol and shotgun bunnies yesterday and only got 1 single pixie shotgun and no pixie pistols. The instant you start looking for something specific in this game I swear it senses it and lowers the drop rate for what you're looking for smh

What about a graveborne spellshot build that uses frostburn spell with 2 charges for thralls? Would that do more damage? You can have 6 hydras up at all times with double spells plus pixies.
There is none - pure glass cannon build, kill everything while running around fast. Multi-stage bosses are painful. Hard to stay alive inbetween "From The Shadows" uptimes. I am using the Sacrificial Skeep Amulet to help me stay alive. Damage is still insanely high.
Yo, I was playing around with this build and was able to get 6 hydras up at once, while only being able to have 3 pixies. Have you tried messing with this?

i have watched this and i can't for the life of me figure out why i am not doing similar damage, i'm making use of soak and am using a lightning fearnot, got all the perks, hero stats etc, got the necklace and the new armor where crits can cause a soak nova as i figured it would make the build a bit more interesting, soak was applied pixies were out but they were not doing anything close to what you did in the video and you build with pixies doing dark magics was actually doing better for me. TLDR: Tried the build and can't figure out why my damage is far lower than what is showcased even if the gear is lesser the damage done by me is like 5x less than what is showed and so i am confused. PS (I play on console so I can't just download the save to have the same experience).
@@skywalk3x uh are you using a 2x fearnot, that shoots faster technically, also he is using spell weaving stacks to up his firetrate alot, without armor that gives a bonus to high thread count the increased firerate from the perk he took in the build should be around a 30% increase with maxed spellweaving stacks.
So I got a corrupt blank slate last night with +2 to ability how would this work with double knot compared to a mod with +2 double knot and some stat boosts I am using grave spell shot with blast gasp all the way up And Ambi hex with a 100% spell crit chance with buffmeister and laserhand! Any thoughts?

Queens cry legendary pistol also scales off spell damage which can be used with this build pretty effectively

Another super build from the Nickster, thank you. It's a really slow process to get these items but at least you do show us the brass ring.
FYI, there's a sniper I have "Mallorn of the Storm" that has a 0.8s reload speed. Like using that so it doesn't take pistol ammo too.
Sigh I wish they start buffing other things because nothing seems to reign over builds requiring pixies 🙁

Double knot have an independent chance to crit as well. That crit chance comes from your guns, so it wouldn't even be close in terms of consistency.

Make sure you are using a "fearnot" or a "bloodshot" pixie weapon. Otherwise the build won't do anything
@@NickTew I am using a fearnot on chaos 7 against parasite and it takes like 1min to kill, is this right or am I doing something wrong
What's the difference between fearnot, whatnot, and wantnot pixie pistol weapons?

"all had the “on action start, get 40% gun damage”" only one of those enchants will work (proc) in a build., meaning you wont get 3 40% procs...

Would your frost spikes deal 2 different elemantal bonus damages? Say the shotgun has fire and dark, would your impale deal ice, fire, and dark in one cast on a crit?
no, only 1 element, I tried it with a dark magic/frost one and I only got a dark magic extra dmg proc from my spellcasts

Smart armored is bugged and it’s legendary buff stops working as soon as you leave a room and stays bugged until you save and quit.
Triple ice spike will always proc double knot when in from shadows, has a short cool down and one shots most enemies (better than buff meister)
Losing 80% spell damage for your pixies to gain a low damaging spell is not better
@@NickTew Not sure it matters, I am still insta killing everything without it. While not needing bullets for anything but removing spell colldowns and throwing guns around in the air. Double knot is just that broken atm.
I should add, triple spike procs double knot, nothing low damage about it, you can literally just kill bosses spamming it. I tested with hexsextrous spamming triple spike x3 each one has 4 charges.

I basicly only have the pixie weapon (oh man i found like 100 wrong fearnots before getting it) and the launcher and chaos 22 was a joke. Still grinding up those levels.... weapon alone pushed me from 8 to whereever my push will end.
Followed the skill tree exactly as shown, very few variations from the gear, using bloodshot shotgun... can't get the pixie to do anything near this.
And i was had the wrong gun.

PC Players will never understand the struggle of having to actually farm every single piece of gear in a build. It's nearly impossible.

@@cooldude1429 Part of the fun is making the build though. Like it's frustrating but at the same time it's more rewarding to farm. That's what the endgame's all about.
I just wish it wasn't SO hard to get the needed pieces. & I don't want to just outright ask for it. Maybe a piece or 2 just to finish the build but don't want to ask for the whole build.

I made this, had a tediore pixie gun, popped shadows and started spamming pixies, but nothing much happens 😅 My morticulturist melts zomboss three times faster. Am i missing something?

Question regarding stats. I picked village idiot for my background story giving me +8 strength, so it capped at 38, im assuming your using your myth rank to get it to 52? As, for attunement the same thing to get it past 30?

Hey so i love ur build and i dont mean to put a downer on things however i do have a very similar build that does more dmg and im not trying to flex i would love to see you make a video out of it if you think its up 2 par with that being said all i did was use the melee gun build so i can proc executioner's blade then i just use a class mod which gives me 3/3 on double not so now when i go into from the shadows instead of using the queens cry or liquid cooling to proc executioner's blade now my pixies are doing it for me the dmg is nuts but a quick summary:
Use melee gun build
Use Class mod that gives you 3/3 double not
Use pixies instead of queens cry to proc executioner's blade
And lastly use spell dmg rings instead of melee it scales better remember its the exact same build as in the video so even tho you are using executioner's blade you should treat this as just as extra dmg not your main source that should be coming from pixies so you should scale to make them do more dmg. but i would be so happy to see you use this its not as tho u need it because either way the dmg is crazy but i promise this is even more insane have fun.

Would you mind sharing what you did to get the build to put out a lot of damage? Because I tried running it in the featured chaos chamber doing the things you said and didn't get the same damage output as I did running this build
I did that as well, I thought my executioners blades shred, turns out its all just double knot with from the shadows, I unspecced excec. blades and still did pretty much the same dmg. Pixies proccing Executioners blade might seem like it does stuff, but in reality you could not specc into it and do about the same damage. better to spend those points into more double knot. At least that's what came from my testing
Utilizing executioners blade in theory could result in a tiny bit more damage overall, the issue is that the bosses die so quickly that you won't even notice it. The only boss you would maybe notice it would be on Tina, and you'd at best kill her 0.5s faster. I didn't want to over-complicate the build, because honestly it's unnecessary. People are already confused as it is and using the wrong pixie weapons & then blaming the build for being bad lmao. Don't want to add another layer of, make sure you have a spellbade & are trying to proc executioners, yada yada. I find it hard to believe your build does any noticeable amount of "Extra damage" How could you quantify that when everything dies in 1s ya know?

The "modded gear" I had on was a buffmeister with an enchant that's not supposed to roll on spells. Has literally 0 adverse effect on the build because that enchant can roll on any of the other 3 items, and the rest of the enchants were all global therefore able to roll on all 4 enchantable items. It's just typical hate mob with their pitchforks out. They read the title of a reddit post and jump to conclusions.

The Bouncing Guns also count as companions and there are some good guns you might be able to use. I REALLY think the SpellShot and Buffmister needs to be nerfed

Why nerf anything in a PVE game especially when it target only a specific class. If there's going to be a nerf, then it should be general. Let everyone feel the struggle!
Nah, every class in the game should be buffed to do spellshot levels of damage. It's not fun to shoot at a regular ass mob enemy for almost half a minute bc your class or weapons aren't powerful. It is fun to absolutely melt everything in a half second. Like 80% of the legendaries in this game need a MAJOR buff before any more nerfs come.

Those build are awesome keep going man. The only thing i dislike is how hard it is to find the right item for the build in this game. There's just too much in this game. I'm on my 5th chaos run and can't seem to find a pixie frost shotgun and/or the spellblade. There's too much variant of what we can get and i end up never getting what i want.
Me finding 6 of the same classmod with Godroll stats but NEVER with class power increases for classes that I actually use
I'm loving the build, but I enjoy most of the builds that make me run super fast.
I'm not doing as much damage for some reason.
Make sure you are using a "fearnot" or a "bloodshot" pixie weapon. Otherwise the build won't do anything

Have you tried spamming pistols from the bunnies at the end of your chaos runs? I was able to get a LOT of pixie guns that way, they seem relatively common.

Relatable. Spent a total of 30k crystals on pistol and shotgun bunnies yesterday and only got 1 single pixie shotgun and no pixie pistols. The instant you start looking for something specific in this game I swear it senses it and lowers the drop rate for what you're looking for smh

Yes but it's much much less consistent because DK relies on landing crits

What about a graveborne spellshot build that uses frostburn spell with 2 charges for thralls? Would that do more damage? You can have 6 hydras up at all times with double spells plus pixies.

it’s a 50% dmg increase when enemies are hit by it
One thing that’s super important is ur spell crit chance, because it doesn’t proc if ur pixies don’t crit
You don't need spell crit because from the shadows makes every hit crit

Spellblade is melee stuff. the build in this video does no melee damage.

There is none - pure glass cannon build, kill everything while running around fast. Multi-stage bosses are painful. Hard to stay alive inbetween "From The Shadows" uptimes. I am using the Sacrificial Skeep Amulet to help me stay alive. Damage is still insanely high.
Yo, I was playing around with this build and was able to get 6 hydras up at once, while only being able to have 3 pixies. Have you tried messing with this?

What class are you?
i have watched this and i can't for the life of me figure out why i am not doing similar damage, i'm making use of soak and am using a lightning fearnot, got all the perks, hero stats etc, got the necklace and the new armor where crits can cause a soak nova as i figured it would make the build a bit more interesting, soak was applied pixies were out but they were not doing anything close to what you did in the video and you build with pixies doing dark magics was actually doing better for me.
TLDR: Tried the build and can't figure out why my damage is far lower than what is showcased even if the gear is lesser the damage done by me is like 5x less than what is showed and so i am confused.
PS (I play on console so I can't just download the save to have the same experience).

@@skywalk3x uh are you using a 2x fearnot, that shoots faster technically, also he is using spell weaving stacks to up his firetrate alot, without armor that gives a bonus to high thread count the increased firerate from the perk he took in the build should be around a 30% increase with maxed spellweaving stacks.

So I got a corrupt blank slate last night with +2 to ability how would this work with double knot compared to a mod with +2 double knot and some stat boosts I am using grave spell shot with blast gasp all the way up And Ambi hex with a 100% spell crit chance with buffmeister and laserhand! Any thoughts?
Also using Ambi hex so I feel like I'm still doing stuff besides chucking guns for anyone who doesn't like using just pixies
