The biggest problem with dragon ball fans is they continue (and for years now) believe that Goku is the only character that can get stronger. And that characters like Beerus are at a stand still power-wise. Did Frieza's ability to train and get stronger, not teach anything?

    • @ACertainMan

  • @AndreB23
    @AndreB23 Месяц назад +9

I mean, it's not really illogical for Beerus to be that strong, if you think about it. One thing to keep in mind is that Beerus is *ridiculously* ancient. He's a 200 million year old GoD who has been training with the most powerful being in U7 for much of his life-span, is significantly proficient in both UI and UE (UE in particular), and he has two comparatively powerful rivals in Champa and Quitela that he aims to keep up with. The guy is so old that multiple decades is a literal cat-nap to him, so imagine how many years of effort he puts in when he's training his ass off to make sure he remains one of the strongest GoDs in the cosmos. Hundreds of millennia worth of training probably feels like a couple of weeks to him. Frieza's rate-of-growth might be insane, but ten years of training is still comparatively nothing to someone as long-lived as Beerus.

Makes more sense that he loses power when he takes long naps, hence why he was weak enough for God Goku to give him a challenge, but if he stays awake and trains a little bit he's closer to his true power which is above MUI Goku

Did you see how many people showed up on this one cat god's planet and wreck the place? Goku and Vegeta were tired from the previous battle against Gas, and being the oppertunistic little shit the tyrant is, Frieza took the oppertunity to score free hits on the people he hates the most. The gecko does NOT fight fair. Remember in Revival of F, he decided to nuke Earth anyway as he takes a page out of Dr. Wily's playbook. His final words in the super manga is "Don't come back!" so he's going to be training so no more freeloaders get the drop on the pussycat. Wheeheeheeeh...

    • @Jiron127
      @Jiron127 2 месяца назад +5

      I can agree with that.
Going by that 6, 10, 15 scale. The higher up, the higher the multiplier and more abstract the abilities.
      6: 100 (0.1 godly power level)
      7: 10,000x's multiplier (1)
      8: 1,000,000x's multiplier (100)
      9: 1,000,000,000x's multiplier (1,000)
      10: 10,000,000,000,000x's (10,000 god tier power level)
This means goku, vegeta, frieza, gohan, broly and piccolo are between 7.4 (piccolo - superhero arc) and 8.5 (frieza highball 1000x's goku/vegeta - granolah arc)
      Gogeta/vegito >= 9.2

I think Beerus has nearly limitless power due to the Hakai technique.
He explained to Vegeta that destruction, even on a small scale, releases a lot of energy.
This could allow him to potentially convert all the total energy contained in his respective universe into personal power.
His ability to destroy is literally what fules him.
He could have been using 70% of his current STORED energy to fight Goku while not even flexing his true potential. Especially after all the napping and resting he does.

This has been a big issue that I've had with Super lately. I feel like they need to steer away from power ups for a bit. They just keep raising the bar. They are already at universal god tier power levels. It makes it hard to keep coming up with new villains when our heroes are basically gods. That and it feels super cheap to me when they power up the other heroes like Piccolo and Gohan to be close to Goku and Vegeta. I'm not a big fan of Gohan's beast form because it feels so unearned. I get that Gohan has potential to be stronger than Goku but come on... Gohan went from Buu saga strength to God tier Ultra Instinct level strength in 1 movie. The power scaling has gotten too all over the place for me lately.

BEERUS IS A GOD OF DESTRUCTION! A literal GOD. Goku doesn’t need to/or should surpass him because some powers should be immeasurable and just unattainable.
Goku has grown tremendously and Beerus has given Goku reason to keep pushing his limits because there are many other universes and powers far beyond his. Beerus and the GoDs of destruction should be overpowered because they are what maintains the balance in their universes, they alone should have no equal because otherwise Gods of destruction would have no purpose if they can’t be the ones to shut down potential threats to their universe.
People need to let beerus rule and Goku take a back seat to the king.

TBH I think when it was stated “in the Anime” that Jiren is stronger than a G.O.D! I think they were REALLY TALKING ABOUT TOPPO!
(In my opinion!) which also makes sense because it was made clear toppo was training for awhile to be the next G.O.D! & even TOPPO told Goku After the Pre-T.O.P Exhibition
That he couldn’t beat Jiren! < Hense maybe the other Universes & even whis got word of this!
Idk just a thought I’ve had for a while! Only thing that seems logical •Also Let Me Add•
    Even Vegeta SSBlue Evolution Defeated
Toppo “In God of Destruction form!” Lol
So Does this Also Make him a Mortal that
Even A Universe’s God Of Destruction
    Cannot Defeat???🤷🏽‍♂️ therefore Both
Really Vegeta & Goku “Obviously” &
“Especially At that time!” Goku with
Mastered Ultra Instinct or just U.i. Was
Stronger than Toppo in his God Form!
So this technically means “heck” I think
Even Golden Frieza because even Frieza
When it was just 17! Goku & Him left!
For a sec Frieza was holding his own
Against Jiren! Even tho Jiren was kinda
Mentally jacked up from “loosing to Goku”
    Before Toppo’s little motivational speech!
But Jiren still was stronger than Toppo
Regardless at this point in the fight!!
    But Anywho… I’m Ranting & yess I know
Toppo Realistically in GOD form would
Punish Golden Frieza lol “At the time!”

I can honestly see Beerus training in secret that’s why it seems like no matter how many forms Goku gets Beerus seems to keep being a moving goal post
Training in secret makes sense for Beerus since he’s too prideful to admit when someone is stronger than him or approaching his level. He will never admit that he’s been training to stay on top of Goku outright bc admitting that would be indirectly admitting that Goku is approaching his level/surpassing him
Beerus “True” strength is still unknown bc yeah Jiren was stated to be the mortal who surpassed the Gods and MUI Goku was stronger than him but that doesn’t mean they’re stronger than Beerus. Beerus seems to be in a tier of his own, not on the level of angels but above his fellow G.O.D’s.
Honestly if they were going to continue to have him in the story they should’ve just let his true power be vague instead of giving us the number chart and stuff

Everybody forgets that Goku has to "transform" or use "stamina" to achieve these these levels of power where beings like Beerus & Jiren just ARE that powerful, they don't have to do a lot "powering up" to max level like Frieza used to do toying with the Z-Fighters. There is no denying base Goku has gotten very strong, even stronger than he was but his base form isn't on Beerus or Jiren's power-technique level and he can't maintain a transformation forever so while some people may dispute Goku might be stronger than Beerus at Goku's peak, Goku simply cannot 'maintain' that peak level of power where Beerus and Jiren could with ease.

I didn't grow up with cable television or internet access as a kid so I got into Dragon Ball very late in my middle school years. But have read/watched all of OG Dragon Ball, DBZ/Kai, GT, Super, and most movies)
Seeing Goku climb to new heights is always a hype factor. However I do feel that it would be cool if there are just some characters that Goku will never be able to surpass.
Not only for the sake of variety and keeping things interesting, but it would also further prove the point of Master Roshi: "There's ALWAYS someone better then you."
I really feel that Goku always trying to improve and striving to do better all the while never truly reaching Peak Perfection or reaching the absolute top 1% BEST would sort of be backwards for the character in a way. Sure, Goku would probably never stop training until the day he finally dies...err again. 😂
But having him reached the absolute pinnacle? I don't know it just feels like he would lose a purpose after that.
( Goku himself in terms of the writing not in terms of the character itself )

My headcanon is that every time Goku or Vegeta does something extraordinary in the climax of an arc. Beerus just secretly trains at the end, and in the begining of the next arc just continues to flaunt his superiority.
For one reason Beerus is still prideful, he doesn't want to be surpassed that easily despite admiring the growth Goku and Vegeta have made.
But also could be motivation for the Saiyans part. Kind of like what he did with Monaka to keep up their motivation, if they believe they don't have much of a goal to reach maybe they'll slow down if they realized they surpassed Beerus.
Also it could make a fun gag for Whis to call Beerus out on that his 'Nap Time' really was his training time.
Like I don't whole heartedly believe that, but I could easily see it being played off as a gag if true.

Why do some fans assume that if Goku and others can get stronger, that Beerus can't. Half of this video that discussed that assumption by fans, was unnecessary and pointless and could have been edited out. They seem to think Beerus is at some sort of max limit so it's a matter of others "catching up" to Beerus. In the Dragonball universe, that makes zero sense.
As we saw with Jiren, getting stronger isn't limited to just punching or physical exertion. When at that high of a level, there's probably a limit to what physical exertion can do and mental and ki control are probably more important.

This should've came to a close in the Moro arc. I mean, why was Beerus even interested in a SSJ God anyway, looking back on it now? The only way to fix this is to say Beerus isn't coming out about them surpassing him, so they won't lose their motivation to train or Beerus has been secretly training.

8:25 No, since the 6, 10, 15 scale was to compare them to each other, it makes the most sense (especially with Whis' claim that Beerus was using nearly 70% of his power) that Goku was at around 60% of Beerus' maximum. In which case, if we use that scale, Super Saiyan Blue puts Goku at 300 to Beerus' 10. He's 30 times stronger, comparatively. Of course, we know he's not, but this scale was meant as a direct and uncomplicated comparison back when Toriyama hadn't planned on anything more than that movie. It makes no sense to think of Super Saiyan Blue as bringing Goku up to 6.5, comparatively. The numbers were not intended as vast thresholds of power, it was intended as direct power scaling to compare them relative to each other. They are not power levels themselves as you can't use them to determine how powerful they actually are, but they are representing power levels relative to each other. Anything else is BS that people make up in order to hold onto them and keep them true. They are not true. Throw those numbers out.
10:38 In theory, if we're using BASIC logic, Goku would not be at a 12 because, again, using BASIC logic, the 6, 10, 15 power scale was relative power to each other, putting Goku at 60% of Beerus. So, using BASIC logic, SS Blue Kaioken Goku, assuming he didn't gain any more strength in base, would now be at least 600 and, if it's x20 kaioken, he would be at 6,000. Again, throw out that 6. 10, 15 scale. It's not relevant anymore, hasn't been for a long time. Stop trying to save it. It was never meant to be used the way you're trying to use it. They are not orders of magnitude or anything else like that, it's a direct power comparison that only applied until they decided to make more and needed Beerus to still be stronger.
10:53 Thank you! Yes, that power scale stopped applying when the story left Battle of Gods. If even your attempts to make it into what it isn't are starting to break down, can we also agree that it never scaled the way you were stating here in the first place, now that it has become useless? I mean, to be fair, you can probably still use it to compare Beerus to Whis, but not to compare either of them to Goku.
11:04 We don't need exact numbers because they are percentages. They are exact numbers to each other. In any case, exact numbers of what? Consider actual power levels. Take that farmer who had a power level of 5. 5 what? What does that 5 represent? What does a power level of 1 represent? The turtle had a power level of 0.001. What is it tracking? It's as exact as the 6, 10, 15 scale. These numbers, in both cases, are only used to compare characters to each other in terms of power. They don't actually measure anything else beyond that. So, in truth, Kaioken can be used with those numbers. I proved it a couple paragraphs ago. The only way we could even hope to hold onto that 6, 10, 15 scale is if Beerus can use Ultra Instict in the basic form, and that 10 is only his base power's maximum. We don't know what kind of multiplier Ultra Instinct gives you, after all.
16:05 It's pretty clear what they meant. It certainly doesn't mean that only some of the gods of destruction can't beat him, because they would have said that. They said not even a god of destruction can beat him. Now, the gods of destruction clearly have no set level of power, but they all seem to be stronger than most mortals, so they definitely have a bare minimum power qualification, but beyond that they seem to be at different levels from each other, possibly with Beerus as one of, if not the, strongest. We didn't know this at the time, but it is possible for mortals to beat destruction energy as Vegeta proved, and Vegeta managed to beat Topo after Topo was granted the power of a god of destruction. So you could say that the tournament gave birth to at least two more mortals who gods of destruction cannot beat. Regardless, what they mean is that his power is such that he can at least hold his own against any one god of destruction without falling and he cannot be destroyed by destruction energy. Possibly Beerus can still beat him with his Ultra Instinct power.
19:31 We can still accept this scene as Beerus being shocked (and probably a little intimidated) that a mortal possesses so much power, but not scared yet. It would be like if you were to see a kid lifting more than adults could lift, but you are a world class body builder. You would be shocked at the kid's current strength, maybe scared to think of what might be possible with this kid in the future, but you can still win against him right now.
    20:01 Exactly.
20:38 At this point? You're funny.
21:00 Probably, but since Beerus also knows a basic form of Ultra Instinct, it could be possible that Beerus can still beat Goku if he uses that. We're talking about Goku using this power from his starting point Vs. Beerus using it from his own starting point. Even if we have no idea how much power this from grants them, we can assume that it gives them a similar power boost to where they're currently at. So, if Goku using his basic Ultra Instinct without the silver hair is still weaker than Beerus, then it would take his completed Ultra Instict to push Beerus to his basic Ultra Instinct form, and he'd be massively stronger than Goku again. Beerus would still be shook by Goku's power and showing respect toward him, but math doesn't lie. He'd still be stronger than Goku. However, this would be the kind of jump in power for Goku that would make Beerus genuinely worry because, given what Goku has accomplished so far, it doesn't take much imagination to see that Goku is only one breakthrough away from overpowering Beerus at this point, and Beerus would know that. If Goku is able to combine Kaioken or Super Saiyan or even God Ki with Ultra Instinct, then it's over for Beerus, or even if he finds a higher level of Ultra Instinct as Whis talks about.
23:35 Right there. Now it can be logically argued that Goku is as strong as or stronger than beerus.
24:25 Well, of course they're not planning this out. That much was obvious from the very beginning of Dragon Ball.
24:38 I don't think the power of Ultra Instinct has been retconned at all. Goku just keeps getting stronger and fighting stronger opponents. The story is what is getting retconned.
25:03 Okay, if Black Freeza is stronger than True Ultra Instinct Goku, but still weaker than Beerus, then that pushes Beerus up even higher in power than previously thought. However, if the statement is that he's still not as strong as a god of destruction, then that's a different story. That retcons Jiren as being stronger than gods of destruction and turns that whole thing into the 6, 10, 15 power scale, something that we should ignore and throw out. Just Beerus being stronger still is acceptable, though.
25:51 I will agree to that. If Goku didn't surpass Jiren in the manga, and we all agree that maybe Beerus was the one god of destruction who was still stronger than Jiren, then we can more easily see how beerus can be stronger than Black Freeza in the manga and not retcon anything.
27:43 Even if we put Beerus as using only 10% of his power against God Goku in Battle of Gods, it still would mean that Goku easily surpassed Beerus' best a long time ago when he learned SS Blue, and any Ultra Instinct that Beerus had shortly after with Kaioken or his own Ultra Instinct. Let's stop referring to that 6, 10, 15 power scale, please. Once again, it stopped applying once they went past Battle of Gods.
Here's a wild thought, though. Suppose Beerus is also getting stronger? Maybe not as fast as Goku is, but if he's getting stronger still, that might handle the moving goalpost thing as long as we accept that he started off a lot stronger than originally stated.

Doesn't Beerus have Ultra Ego? He's the one who basically taught it to Vegeta, and Ultra Instinct was revealed to be the techique of the Angels, hence the silver hair and focus on defense and evasion. Since Whis has a superior form of Ultra Instinct to Goku, shouldn't the same apply to Beerus with Ultra Ego? Beerus' power should theoretically be without a limit, since he could use his superior Ultra Ego to get continuously stronger as he fights. This also explains why Whis will always be superior to Beerus, as Ultra Instinct is the perfect counter to Ultra Ego, since Ultra Ego needs to actually make contact and acquire damage in order to become stronger, which Ultra Instinct doesn't allow for.

I don’t think the other Gods of Destruction train since there’s no mortals near their power levels. Beerus is an anomaly because he has multiple mortals in his universe that are near his power. He also still trains so he continues to get stronger as well.
For all we know a God of Destruction might get stronger as their mortal level increases and that’s why they destroy weaker planets. As long as Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, etc get stronger, Beerus power will increase as well making him near impossible to surpass. And this might be why Beerus is pushing them to be stronger than him, cause he knows it won’t happen but it’ll only make him stronger as a result.

Isn't it safe to assume Beerus still trains? Whis stated that's why Beerus is stronger than Champa because Champa is lazy and doesn't train. 17 got way stronger off screen and stated it's because he wasn't just taking it easy. Also, in the manga when Beerus is training Geets he face slams him and tells him if he trained for 100 years he still wouldn't be at his level. I may be wrong but I believe that was after the he already had Blue Evolution.

A key difference of the anime and manga is that Goku retained the power of SSG in his SS1 which means his base is 50x weaker than SSG while manga version Goku doesn’t have that power boost. It really changes the power gap between the anime and manga.
In the anime, it’s stated that Belmont is stronger than Beerus; Whis stated this. “”For those who say, “That’s in arm wrestling”. Well they use Ki to boost their strength so that means Belmont has more Ki than Beerus. Also in both GoDs fight, we see Belmont be the only GoD to have little to no damage at all; he even smiled while pretending to be KO in a fight where they were ordered to fight for real and was being watched by the Grand Priest. Belmont captured all GoD in his orb and another GoD asked if Belmont was really trying to kill them when he was about to use his Ki created cards.
Anime has Whis makes the scaling of Jiren>Goku>Belmont>Beerus. In Broly movie, Goku suggested Broly was stronger than Beerus, someone Goku is already stronger than if he used UI/MUI. Goku didn’t even use Kaioken x20 and Vegeta didn’t use SSBE since both of them fighting together would defeat Broly and they wanted the money grab of Gogeta.

I have always seen it as Beerus constantly being surprised at the pace they get stronger for being "mere mortals"

Goku and Vegeta are in their late 40s to 50s and have a few decades of training , Beerus is an ancient deity that's over 200 million years old so he's had a few million years worth of training and that's even if you include his infamous naps. Its impressive that Goku and Vegeta have improved in such little time, to the point to where Beerus is considering them as candidates for a God of Destruction, bro's even offered Goku his job a few times. Even then its still gonna take a minute for them to be around Beerus level because like you said we still haven't even seen Beerus fighting at his peak.

The only changes that can be made to fix the scale is 1. Beers has a secret transformation, or 2. Beerus is still trading and getting stronger. At least with a transformation the 70% could just be 70% of his base.

      1. Beerus has Ultra ego which lets him increase is power limitlessly the more he thinks about Destruction.
      2. The 70% isn't in the anime and the Manga so it can be disregarded.

I thought it was clear that the power scaling in the manga is drastically weaker than in the anime

Doesn't Whis have his staff that has a pocket dimension room of spirit and time from the anime? Is that where Beerus goes to train perhaps? all fluff but i think people forget about that pocket dimension.

My pov, that 70% is not the amount he was using throughout the fight. In the fight, beerus agrees that he powered up to nullify the energy ball that would have destroyed earth and few planets. But then he went back and was using normal level to fight equally with goku

goku, vegeta , broly ,jiren , gohan , frieza have def surpassed some destroyers to me. keeep in mind i only use the manga power scale cause it makes the most sense. its just beerus is a prodigy destoryer . he never back down from a fight, he trained for millions of years with an mui angel . hes a martial art master tooo. he can use ui sign at will he still wants to achieve mui but hes lazy at this moment. i think both goku and vegeta will surpassed him in final dbs saga. then he will find motivate to train again cause he too has pride .

Beerus is a moving goalpost, and there's no denying it. Even in the manga though for some reason people like to pretend that he isn't there.

I've always felt that the gods of destruction are empowered by zeno to always have a power level equal to the total power level within their individual universe's so that they can always do their jobs if something/one needs destroyed.

Can’t remember so correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the dragon say to granola after his wish that he’s the strongest in the universe but less than the Gods?

It could be said that for what might be a millionnium of years or whatever Beerus was asleep, he might be regress by half so Goku is fighting that Beerus. (Head cannon)lol I mean he is the only God that hibernates.
