It amazes me how much of this movie is practical effects. Even scenes I thought were fully cgi turned out to be practical. I love this film and watching this BTS made me appreciate it even more
Absolutely delusional. How old were u when u watched it, 5??? Indy is an archaeologist, he isn't a member of MJ12. Beam me up, Indiana Jones. Completly destroyed the franchise from that moment in time, turning out to be true cause Indy5 is not just the worst Indy, its 1 of the worst films to ever have been made. I think Disney have an inside cooperation bet to see who can lose the most £ on 1 film.

I have to be honest with you just as Steven Spielberg said the temple of Doom is not one of his favorites nor is it of mine neither was the kingdom of the crystal skull but after watching behind the scenes and all the effort and extraordinary production and skill and detail that went into the making of these two movies along with the others I can't wait to watch them again They have new and fresh meaning to me because of what you shared with us behind the scenes is one of my most favorite videos to watch cuz I've always wondered all my life Why did they do this Why did they shoot it that way What were they thinking when they decided to deliver this scene in this dialogue in this specific way and then you watch behind the scenes and they tell you exactly the questions you've been asking for such a long time! I can't thank you enough Thank you so very very much!!! L. Eric Sahagun
Thank you so much for uploading these! I just bought Raiders on 4K and was very sad that the bonus features only came if you bought the 4-Movie boxset. Ive been watching these featurettes and really appreciate you compiling them!

production design are the real heroes of this movie. This bts really highlights that so much stuff of the movie is real and not cgi. We might have complained enough already about it, it's a good picture.
The first film I saw in theatres when I was 8. While looking at it now and noticing the flaws here and there, it's still a good Indy film to go back to.
Same here. I loved the role's reversal: the last time we saw Indy, he was the son, here he is the father. And he says so, in the end, about how HIS father is laughing at him from above, since Indy is going to have the same difficult relationship with his son that Henry Jones had with Henry Jones Junior, aka Indy. Also, on forums, people keep repeating about the CGI ruining the movie but after seeing the BTS, the jungle scene was shot in the jungle, only the head shots were in front of a green screen. Part of the temple was built outside and then the rest was CGIed. And those who rant about Mutt and the monkeys, I saw the movie with a friend and her 9 years old son. Believe me, he loved that scene! It's the same old thing, isn't it? Lucas and Spielberg include scenes or characters, in movies, meant to please children and adults rant against it, not imagining that the intention was to please children watching the movie.
@@barmag8802 yeah, there is always something in the movie that, let’s say, my grandpa or younger family member would laugh at. Which gives the movie sentimental value to me since I remember the times I watched it with them. Also, about the CGI (and so many other complaints), shouldn’t they be having a WAY bigger problem with the movies of today?
This is one of those films everyone hated, but as time passes the amazing production staff and iconic acting will imo make it one of the real Indy movies. I doubt it'll ever rival the first 3 but it will definately have its place, not sure the fifth film ever will.
The fate of the sets used in Indiana Jones movies varies from set to set and production to production. Some sets are dismantled and recycled after filming is complete, while others are preserved and put on display in museums or theme parks. For example, the large boulder used in the opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark is on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington D.C. Additionally, some sets are reused for other productions or sold to other studios or individuals. Ultimately, it depends on the production company's decision and their plans for the sets after filming is complete.

while this is the worst Indy Film, I hold Nostalgia for it and still find it enjoyable.

Seeing all those sets makes me wish they just downplayed the scale and didn't gloss the movie up so much.
