    i just got my tlm 103, is the eyeball worth it or no? my desk is just to crowded for a isolation shield (which i have too)

      I would get it only if necessary. Beware what a lot of people are not telling you, when you use any eyeball foam it will put a boxy sound on your low end. If you cover your mouth a lil bit and start talking that's what it sounds like. Granted if you have the plugins to remove it, then cool. I took mine off my tlm 103.

      @@DaRellzKimita thanks, i actually found a small light weight iso shield on amazon that connects to my mic stand works just as well

      @@Iamjordanedwardscould you plug me on to that I have the iconic mars but if there’s a better one for the tlm 103 with the shock mount it comes with I’d like to know

      @@mariomarcos2148 so what i ended up doing was i found a mini iso shield on amazon that a desk mic stand can hold, plus my 103 and it works great.

      @@OriginalAsono why you think the apollo sound difference in vocals sounds way different than focusright?

    • @OriginalAsono
      @OriginalAsono 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@bane8305 its just because of the mic I got really, I got the "Rode NT1 (4th generation)" the Apollo just bring a lil more clarity to it and no latency. but I had my Focusrite for like 4 yrs and I could tell it was a lil difference. and if you get the apollo brand new it comes with new plugins to. I been using stock plugins till now lol

      The comp I think is an Art Pro MBA Channel Strip. It's definitely doing something to the mic signal before it hits the converters in the interface, is it worth the money? I wouldn't say so, you could just buy UAD plugins which are equal if not better, PluginBoutique has a sale for 20 UAD plugins for like $50, and 44 UAD plugins for like $300. Having the variety of plugins will always beat 1 budget analog piece.
      The Apollo is cool for the DSP and the plug-in interface for baking the plugins into the sound source, but if you want good recordings you always need to hit the source signal first, before it gets to the converters and the daw. So analog gear will always bring out the "true" sound potential of your mic.
