The paint cracking is called spiderwebbing, and is caused by too thick of paint or paint that needs removing completely. It will continue to crack until it is removed.
Colin is right, you need to take that down to bare metal.

Anytime you have spiderwebbing or alligatoring in paint, you must remove it completely to resolve the issue. What is under the top layer affects everything. If it is cracking, over time the top layer will crack.

So have I. I have been doing it for 35 years or so; I taught auto body and painting with Dick Page, who was a long time hot rodder and car customizer in my area, when he taught at Foss HS.
I've heard of him! I don't do it for a living, just a hobby, but I've been at it for a long time. Managed to dodge Paint and Final Finish school in the Navy...which doesn't teach automotive quality painting.
I think the 2015 tank green would look great on this Jeep. Great job as always goonzquad! Keep up the good work!
Black Forest Green Pearl. My 2016 Ram color. It looks black until the sun hits it, then its a nice deep metallic green. Very nice.
I can foresee this jeep having a nice copper brown paint job. With a color matched hard top. Rancho or skyjacker Lift kit. Love your videos, keep up the great work!

In my years in the body shop when you have the crows feet cracking on the hood you have to sand it the panel down to bare metal or the cracks will keep coming back no matter what you do. But it's looks awesome guys keep up the good work

You should paint the jeep Toyota Quicksand (Like on the tacoma's) with gloss black wheels!

Not sure how common it is, but on my 99 Tj with Dana 35s the bolts holding the ring gear to carrier loosened up and broke off. Just something to keep an eye out for anytime you have the diff cover off.

I thing the new gray color would look sick. Also the cracks in paint would need to be covered with hi-build primer then with epoxy sealer.

I think it would look wicked in tank green with a tan top and a sahara yj style stripe down the side
2k high build primer would take care of those cracks - you can get a self-etching version, but it's not needed unless you are spraying bare metal.... Evercoat Slick Sand is a miracle product for this sort of stuff (and those small dents you are filling...) - if you ever wonder how show cars get perfect finishes - Slick Sand and LOTS of sanding....
