Mac McClung (career-high 20 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists) and Shake Milton (20 points, 8 assists) combined for 40 points for the 76ers in the victory. The 76ers finish the season at 54-28, while the Nets finish 45-37.

This guy is INSANE.
Cam plays so well when there are no other good players playing with him. He gets into the zone, however once other good players play like dinwiddie or bridges, he plays like he doesn't want to step on their toes. He def can average 25+ ppg on a tanking team but he needs to learn how to be a team player + improve his defense

Yes, and I think brooklyn should share in that responsibility in developing him. I feel like they didn’t take any steps from last year in that regard. Of course, a lot of it falls on the player, but an organization, like the Nets, that does have a good track record of developing players hasn’t done much with Cam.
How bout he doesn’t get minutes with them often to build chemistry but guys like finni smith bricking shots night after night is getting 30 plus……. Play them more together and watch what happens.

He only needs to be good at one of them. Look at someone like James Harden or Kawhi. One is a good passer the other is a good defender. He's definitely similar to Harden tho.
@@sadworldwide Kawhi and Harden can do more then just 1 thing each. Harden is a good scorer and a great passer, Kawhi is a great defender but he can also get you buckets when you need them most. Cam Thomas scoring 40 means nothing if he gives up 40 on the defensive side of the ball.

He's a 2 guard, that's what he's supposed to do. He's like a top 2/3 player on this team and coach should try to incorporate his game into it, making him improve on those things you said at the same time.

@Rob Breegs I remember the coach saying, that Cam is one of the best scorers he's seen, but when he is cold or isn't making his shots he is a bad player. He doesn't hustle at 100% when he misses, he is bad at defense, and even at his height he can't rebound that well. His playmaking is okay.

The reason he doesn't get more playing time is because he is inconsistent. When he's hot like he was tonight then it's all good but when he's struggling to score he doesn't provide anything else to the team. He's got to improve on defense if he wants more playing time.

When he starts he averages 35 per game. He's pretty consistent. His problem is being on the wrong team with an idiot for a head coach.

Jamal Crawford /Lou Williams 6th man role until the defense improves. Once you have a bad defensive reputation it takes a while to shake that off of you. I would start him if he's scoring more than his matchup.
They should just put him on the weakest opponents player and case closed. Nets have a bunch of good defensive players and lot of versatility and switchability, Cams defense should not be a problem.
