the whole thing just stuns me. like.. i think mars is due for a boycott alongside hersheys and most chocolate brands in general but CERTAINLY not for something as trivial as an advertising campaign. like, the sort of human rights violations the chocolate industry is able to get away with is just unbelievable and i think last year when those changes were made, it did seem to be timed out a certain way to possibly cover up that conversation because they probably knew it'd get attention. likely not to this extent but i think it's safe to say they were using some weird performative stuff to divert attention from real issues mars has taken a large part in. i just hate how conservatives will take something that's due for a conversation and then like.. invent a problem or take obvious bait when there's a real issue literally right there

Tucker goes so far right he almost circles back around to the left. For a split second there it sounded like he was arguing that women in sexy boots should be taken just as seriously as women who wear more conservative clothes. It's not a big deal by any means, it's just weird to see and interesting to try to understand the motivations behind it. If Ford replaced their Mustang logo with an Andalusian donkey, the same thing would happen. People should be more concerned about candy in general, and the way it's marketed to humans, children in particular. Sugar is a poison that doesn't improve your health and can only harm it. This society has lost it's ability to prioritize what things are actually problems, and how big of a problem the problem is in comparison to other problems. Stay away from sugar! i think my biggest gripe is less about the shoes and the gender of the candy and more about how culture wars like this exist to divide people and ignore class war. the fact that many people would rather talk about the heel height of the candy than the actual child slavery allegations Mars faces every couple years is astonishing. time and time again, the average person has a common enemy in corporations and the ultra wealthy and get distracted by stupid stuff like this. it's depressing honestly.

M&Ms are such massive sellers that its not uncommon for our shelves to be out of them until midday when the candy is re-stocked. Its insane how fast they sell versus a lot of the other candies on our shelves
