I was hoping to hear about the limitations too. For instance, I find that I can only press down on 2 keys at one time on my PC keyboard. Is this also the case if I get the minilab 3 or other device? Also how do you edit and save a sequence and then recall it to hear it?
I bought Analog Lab to use with Ableton & the Keystep Pro. I understand the Keystep Pro doesn't have all of the faders like the Keylab, but surprised that it's not selectable in Analog Lab...have to map everything manually.
I downloaded and installed this, but it hasn't shown up in my DAW. I have Analog Lab V, so maybe it would be redundant anyway, but how do I get it to load? I'm using GarageBand.
This IS the new UI for Analog Lab V which is now called Analog Lab Pro. You can switch between this and the “old” view. If you have Analog Lab, update it and you will see.

I just got the wonderful MKII 61 keylab and obviously I have the complete Analoglab V which is something unthinkable, both in terms of quality but above all because it is a complete software. I poked around a bit (I didn't have much time yet) but I didn't find any naked and raw sounds! in the sense, I would like to select the MiniMoog and start from a raw sound, without any preset, I would like to create the sound exactly as if I had the minimoog in front of me. Could you kindly explain to me in which section I could find what I'm looking for? and therefore not presets but instruments that start from scratch like when you would turn on a real one for the first time! Thanks so much in advance for your reply!

For some reason Analog Lab doesn't save the presets I've chosen. when I reload a project it reverts back to the default preset. I'm sorry but this is not acceptable and I WAS very interested in upgrading but not with this issue which is an issue thats been around for YEARS according to google
it is NKS compatible but it is also easy to use the midi setup to configure your keyboard controls to the basic displayed knobs. Using it in Komplete Kontrol results in different parameters being assigned to ones controller pots (knobs).

I did the usual Analog Lab V update in the manager yesterday (before realising that this Arturia Play feature had been launched) If you have Analog Lab V, it comes inside the Analog Lab V update by default. Everything seems to be intact but I haven't tested NKS compatibility yet. Verified this because after update I have a total of 6,577 presets across all the categories (including 596 effects) I'm assuming this count includes 4 small individual banks I purchased in the past that are still there as they always were, and a couple of the freebie banks that Arturia have offered over time, and of course, the stock analog lab V sounds. Accounting for the above, here's a rough breakdown of what Analog Lab V (now known as Analog Lab Pro) looks like for me after the update:- Bass 722 Keys 747 Lead 745 Pad 1096 Piano 111 Electric Piano 331 Organ 465 Strings 297 Brass & Winds 235 Drums 270 Sequences 883 Vocal 79 Sound Effects 596 I do not own V collection. Most of the preset count comes from Analog Lab V. Hope that helps.
I hope we who have arturia products won't lose the Lab 4 and 5 we currently have. I use them a lot and don't want them to disappear if I update. Does anyone else find it odd there are no drum racks in the labs? I came for the piano sounds but I found hundreds of nice synth presets in lab 4 and 5 unlike NI Komplete which has so much crap and very little useful sounds.
I have Analog Lab 4 and 5 and when I downloaded Analog Lab Play it just updated AL V. How can I get that cool looking interface that comes with Analog Lab Play? @@morgan8937
This offers a rather tight 100 presets while the former Analog Lab Intro offered "500 fine-tuned presets from our award-winning V collection instruments..." I say 'former' because apparently Arturia Software Centre will convert Intro, messing up projects probably, either now or later by pruning the preset number to 100. It is a step backward despite the visual seduction, since a glance at the release notes reveals it is really about a further locking down of access to the instruments. I really liked Arturia before this bit of trickery.
Hi there, Analog Lab intro is the free version when you are buying one of our controllers. It is completely independant from Analog Lab Play/Pro. ASC won't "prune" your preset numbers, you will still have your 500 presets :). Analog Lab Play is a 100% free, condensed version of Analog Lab Pro. The 100 presets are curated from the Pro version. Hope this makes more sense.

People hate Behringer for stealing designs, appearance, marketing, trademarks, and more to make direct parallel products undermining the people who did all the work. Arturia doesn't do this at all. in fact, they are a target of this asshole company, having had their most popular product blatantly knocked off by this crap-gear giant with no interest in doing its own product development and no popular instruments that do not openly trade on the marketing and reputations of companies without Behringer's financial resources. The China minicolonialist and feudal lord funnels this lack of development and marketing expenditure not only into artificially low prices (on the backs, also, of miserable labor and poor component substitutions), but also into armies of attorneys who attack the attacked smaller companies who naturally object to being ripped off, and threaten (and refer to Chinese police) and sue critics who don't like poor products and antisocial, malicious, and bigoted behavior by the company and its overlord. If you want to support such behavior, spend more money on their fake Rolexes and fund what appears to anyone who looks closely one guy's bizarre revenge campaign against music-gear companies (or buy cheap gear from reputable companies like Arturia, that develop their own products and give credit and, where appropriate, payment where it is due) - but spare us your moral equivalencies that make no sense at all. Look into what the actual backstories to the complaints are before dismissing them. Know where your money goes.
You can setup CC mappings for any controller you want, so while it's obviously not out of the box, you can still use whatever controller you have on hand
@@SolarLiner In theory, yes. When you click the Learn feature though, and click on the purple highlighted parameters, they don't change when moving the hardware knobs using an A49. It's broken.
Disappointing! Where is the flagship midi keyboard? How the hell does Arturia make hardware synths but they keep letting Native instruments out do them when it comes to mid controllers?
It's 2023. Be happy with mediocrity. You don't really need a controller with proper controls. You don't even want it. You love using a mouse......you LOVE IT! And as expected, the NI "controller" is trash also. Love .....love .....the mediocrity.........LOVE IT!
@@machiavelli4428 A matter of opinion, they just dropped the Maschine integration of the MK2, most already have a drum pad or maschine controller anyway. Mk3 is beautiful board, perfect for many non NKS instruments and Daws also in the future they will upgrade firmware to integrate with most VSTi's and Daws out there.

This new interface really allows the user to focus on the sound rather than tons of knobs. Very nice! I like Yetundey's positivity and vibrance, too.

Love the new design, but If you want to win the battle against NI and Kontakt, we need a powerful sampler, maybe with Analog Lab
Pigments' sampler is suuuper deep! I use it in my live set, sequenced by the Digitone.
A centralized creative sequencer would be nice. Also, an updated drum/groove VST would go a long way.

What does this video have to do with midi controllers? Arturia has a request portal on their website.
