- This weeks Sunday morning episode we go back and drive the great ocean road, Australia's most iconic drive, with our caravan and the weather is good this time.
We were here two years ago but the weather did not turn it on for us so we thought, why not go back this time with the weather report looking so good

I love this freecamp! You can't beat it for location to the Great Ocean Road which is difficult to find accommodation during holidays!

Great 4wd tracks around the back of the old Alcoa mine near tanners camp ground. Well worth exploring the tracks all the way to Lorne. Amazing views up on top of the mountains

Hi, really enjoyed this video. Loved you explained technical difficulties and enjoyed the view . Oh I still haven’t mastered a roast in the camp oven. My bread turns out perfectly in it . ?. 100% happy to help. It is very difficult to find free camps. Everything has gotten so expensive. We look to low cost or free camp as much as we can! Good luck with your trip, hope you have fun!

They don't call it the Great Ocean Road for nothing. We travelled this road many years ago. Just superb scenery. We have pencilled in some of your previous camps for our upcoming trip to South Australia in April /May. Our aim is to part of the Anne Beadell Highway. Keep the episodes coming, and enjoy your week.

Great to see you on the road again, enjoying the "good life"....Just a quiet little tip for D.....you dont really need 78 firelighters to start a fire....1or maybe 2 segments will do the job....and just think of the $ saved after 10 years of touring. lol......Stay safe guys..

Thanks for the video, love watching your adventures. We have a 20’9 foot caravan do you think we would be okay travelling down the great ocean road with it?
Hi Liz, we did see a lot of those size caravans at the parks around the area. Some of the turns were pretty narrow but Deryck reasons yes if you are a confident and experienced driver.
Looking forward to the rest of your Great Ocean Road trip as we are to be driving the road heading into Melbourne from 3 weeks in Esperance (home city Perth) late February , early March . Have done the road a couple of times in each direction but always looking out for more campsites opportunities. Maybe cross paths along the way somewhere .
Hi Fleur, thanks so much for your message! We only did the one episode on the GOR this time as we shot through to SA. We did do a series of it 2 years ago and stopped off at all the major attractions. Mount Moriac and Beauchamp Falls also good spots (and free) if you don't have dogs. Hope you have a great week 😀

Thank you😁 yea was amazing to tow van along with us this time. We did it in the evening so there was not much traffic. To be honest I wouldn’t wanna do it on a weekend 🙌🏻

I’ve just returned from an overnight camp and whilst watching your video I’m editing mine and realised I did exactly the same thing at the end of night I’ve got no audio due to not recharging.
Shit happens.

Bunless burgers and then last night camp cook ups includes a dessert and ribs still to be named and edited. They won’t be scheduled till beginning of April.

How do you think a 3.2 Lt ranger with 3.5t van handle the great ocean road,
Should be no problem at all. A few steep hills but nothing to be too worried about. There are plenty pull over areas to let people past🙌🏻
