i like how the editing makes it seem like Jonathan was just monologuing without pause for the entire interview and wudijo was just there to make Jonathan seem less insane

Problem is this interview was from before the 3 act announcement. So we need an update on if they still think the game will feel complete. If it feels complete with 3 acts why do they need 6 eventually?
The three act "announcement" which was not an official announcement. It might be true, but it wasn't confirmed. The actual scope will be announced in the livestream.

@@ruibarian5187 Dude. This guy does have a habit of running his mouth at weird times and saying things that haven't officially been announced, but it still isn't the same thing. I know he's an employee and does good work; all I'm saying is that you should wait for the official announcement to declare that the sky is falling and everything is going to be terrible, and not a translated text version of a japanese interview. Because there will be an official announcement soon. It might confirm what this guy said, or it might not.
When they announced 3 acts they also said there is endgame. It's not playing 3 acts and then logging off until release. Best to wait until November livestream to see how large the endgame currently is before deciding.

I don't care if the beta launch only has 3 acts. If acts 4-6 is not there on Beta launch then they will be added later during the beta when they are ready. There is no point in adding something for testing and feedback if its not ready for testing. We now that the acts are complete, they probably just need a bit more polish and balance before they can be tested.
There will be a lot of patches during beta. Stuff will get added, stuff might be removed, there will probably be multiple wipes if they do major balance changes etc. Almost all content planned for Path of exile 2's launch in 6-12 months (or more) will get added to the beta eventually for testing (except for the main endgame boss/bosses maybe) Jonathan might want to keep somethings hidden until actual 1.0 launch

How can this be big if it's only 3 acts?
The diablo 4 devs, before release, talked about the 'end game' when there virtually was none. I think it will be healthy to have low expectations in terms of content for poe2.
Someone missed the memo that 3 of the 6 acts aren't going to be in the game, and that 4 of the classes and a good chunk of the ascendencies won't be there either. It might have been Jonathan's goal to make this feel like a released game, but it is definitely going to feel incomplete.
They already confirmed that there will be endgame at Early Access launch, which in comparison the campaign is extremely small in scope and substance.
Compared to any other game that has a full release it's going to offer way more content even while missing half the campaign and a third of the classes. The story will feel incomplete, and then you'll forget all about it once you're running maps.

@@snaker9er Because they are copy/pasting endgame league mechanics from PoE1 with twists to loot and encounters. Ritual has already been shown to mechanically work the same as PoE1.
This gives them a massive advantage over other publishers who have to develop endgame from a literal white board, as it greatly minimizes the work they need to do to meet a bare minimum content requirement on release.
Edit: obviously it won't be as big as PoE1 endgame during Early Access, but you only need 2-3 endgame mechanics for a strong endgame impression. We know Ritual is one of them for now.
@@neppity5887 yes and they've shown ritual in acts that are likely to not be available. We dont know what will be in the end game it could be as good as you say or as insignificant as playing three acts again on higher difficulty
@@snaker9er The developers that said there will be 3 acts also said there will be endgame in the same interview, and repeating the campaign does not classify as "endgame" in context of what they have been talking about. Seems extremely pessimistic and grasping at extremes to assume as such.
It's incredibly more likely that their current mapping system is just bad rather than "endgame" being the campaign on harder difficulties which they are against on principle now. Almost as bad copium as the people who think Early Access launches are full releases of games lol.
lets hope so, but things can change specialy when people still havent buy anything. They may give us lesser content
Of course JRodge, C Dubs, and Mock Rubbits are gonna give us crazy amounts of content for early access! They’re legit and know what customers want
This is what im hoping for but its these interviews that ive based my perception on until the Tokyo interview which GGG didnt respond to or clarify
And after it they nerf stuff to oblivion the build you've been playin' for past nine months. That's the prob' with ptr's, ok for a week or so, then you've kind of 'had enough' after that. You want the real deal, not 'smoke and mirrors', a phrase he oft used about D4. Or 'meat on the bones' is another 'he oft used about D4'.

All this speculation from TGS Is absurd IMO. I think EA would be pushed back if Jonathan and the team didn't feel like it was ready with the content that was mentioned before. Still though. Nothing has been confirmed until we hear from GGG themselves. They did mention in about a month they will give details about EA. I guess we need to be patient.
They can't push back EA anymore. There's no way their Chinese publisher is going to continue letting them funnel millions of dollars into the product without a return, they're not letting them miss the holiday release window.

Not that I need to explain myself... BUT The link to his full video is in the video description (I guess you just assumed without looking) and we all get notified when someone using our footage and if he had a problem with it he would copy strike it and I would have to remove the footage but he wont because he is a nice guy and I linked his video in the description.
I have a speculation..when it was said in Tokyo only 3 of 6 acts in EA..it is possible they aren't releasing it just over there due their being a bunch of extra p2w features in that poe2 version..just a thought.
Also either way if only 3 acts the other 3 are obviously almost done/done already and they are probably just wanting to test how things scale out in the start incase things need tweaked later on to avoid major endgame issues

what p2w features . they participate in the same economy therefore u cant have p2w . thats just nonsense
