Dundrum is a village in south Dublin that has become a suburb over time. It is located on the Luas Green Line, with the tram stop located at the site of the former railway station on the old Harcourt Street line. It is one of the main bus hubs in south Dublin, being a terminus for some routes and an intermediate stop for others. This is the third visit to Dundrum, with the first in January 2014 ( • Dundrum Buses | Januar... ), and the most recent in August 2021 ( • Dundrum Buses | Januar... ).
Dundrum is served by both Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland, with routes going to a variety of places. Dublin Bus operate cross-city routes 14 and 44, with the latter running from Dublin City University in Glasnevin to Enniskerry, while the former runs from Ardlea Road in Beaumont to Dundrum. Route 61 between Whitechurch and the city centre, skirts Dundrum by passing along Churchtown Road and Dundrum Road. Route 44B to Glencullen only runs a few times during the week, and requires the use of one of the two single-decker buses operated by Dublin Bus.
Go-Ahead Ireland operate a number of orbital routes through Dundrum. Route 17 connects Blackrock with Rialto, route 75 connects Dun Laoghaire with Tallaght, while route 175 connects UCD Belfield with Citywest. These routes are expected to change under the next phase of Bus Connects. Finally Go-Ahead Ireland operate the local, low-frequency, route 161 between Dundrum and Rockbrook.
All-in-all, Dundrum is a hive of bus activity.
