  • Gold Panning the new gold creek in Sweden. We are gold prospecting a secret spot somewhere in the wilderness that is rumored to have massive amounts of gold nuggets and flakes.
    We find several interesting places along a river while exploring and testing the Eldorado gold sluice for the first time sluicing for gold. After the sluicing we of course do some gold panning! Awesome day out with the mosquitoes.
    Another successful gold prospecting trip to the gold fields of Swedish Lapland. Emil and Joel are geologists so you can expect some geology talk. This time we are panning creeks and rivers as we go along on our wilderness trip. My equipment includes a gold pan, shovel and a sluice and a healthy bunch of humor.
    Sluicing for gold with a sluice box in Swedish Lapland. A good day running the blue sluice with a perhaps some gold caught in the the rifling of the gold trap. This day we are out sluicing in creeks and sluicing in streams to make our fortune. Where to find gold in river and creeks? Let the True Vikings show you.

  • @harrybond7459
    @harrybond7459 3 года назад

    Were there old mountains in that area or long ago volcanic activity? What makes you feel there is gold there? In either case, I believe you have to get down to the bedrock, that is where the gold lodges .Cracks and crevices in the bedrock to be exact.The dark sand is a very good sign as you noted ,but the gold,.if there is any is in the lowest levels of the black sand.Again find the basement,the bedrock.

    • @TrueVikings
      @TrueVikings  3 года назад

      Good theory and you are right, best places to look is nect to bedrock. Unfortunately in this area there's about 25 soil on top of that so you take what you can get. Historically some gold mines in the area so there should be some color around somewhere. Been all kinds of volcanic activity here in the past 2 billion years

    The big gold is in the northern Black Hills and is solidly claimed up..our claim near Custer (site of original gold rush ,1870's )in the southern hills has small colors,maybe an occasional picker.It's mostly recreational .even a true Vicking would enjoy it here. Ha !

    4:10 hehe that is pushing the sluice a bit to hard I'm afraid :) A tip is to put at pice of wood with a stone on top of the sluice to hold it in place, i did the same thing as you, messing around with rocks to hold it in place and it's a pain. Never give up, you will find that AU some day!

    • @TrueVikings

      Heureka moment! I know exactly what you mean know with the piece of wood and it does make a lot of sense. Will do that when spring kicks around. Thanks Nordic prospecting!

    Love you guys, but you have no idea what the hell you're doing when looking for gold. Please do your research on how to prospect for gold and how to use your sluice. For the sluice you have to have the proper angle and flow of water and feed your material slowly.
