    Hello, thank you for the information. I applied Varromid to one of my calm colony. After using this product, the bees have become exceptionally aggressive. No one can approach within 100 meters of the hive without being threatened. It has been a week since the treatment, yet the bees remain aggressive. What steps can I take to restore their calm demeanor?

    Haven't used that but risky using formic acid in a hive in the winter possibly lose Queens. But well explained.👏

      Yep. Always the risk with formic acid. We find formic acid ok with young queens and low temps. Older queens and high temps can cause havoc!

    Have you noticed that healthy bees pull out live sick bees out of the hive with that product ?

    • @BlackMountainHoney
      @BlackMountainHoney  3 года назад +1

      Not as yet. Is this something you have noticed?

    • @researcherAmateur
      @researcherAmateur 3 года назад +1

      Yes, in the summer dearth. If they have too much varroa and sick bees. I seen them act like ther is robeing, but bees of the seme hive. Makes them cline the hive.. and drop numbers in a day or two

      @@researcherAmateur Thats really interesting. Never noticed that with other formic products

      @@BlackMountainHoney i'm not sure it's the formic. I think is the plant tea mix in it... I have friends with the seme experience. We make similar recipes over 15 years by now.
      Of the products we can buy l seen it only with Varromed
