Your technique is impressive, but this is really a different song the way you play it. AIC infused blues and soul into their music, and you haven't captured those influences here. Nonetheless a beautiful arrangement.
I agree. Bravo for the beautiful arrangement, classical interpretation, wonderful technique and having the cojones to put a performance up online. Yes, it's appropriately minor, but "Rooster" contains poignant major 7ths, suspended minors and an important chromatic Gb7 (tritone sub) in the 2nd line of the chorus prior just prior to the Fm7 tonic. Staley and Cantrell's harmony can't duplicated but their haunting sensibility is missing. And please tighten that rhythm! It's meandering here. There needs to be tension, attack and release in the heavy metal tradition. And as is often the case, this goes on way too long.
He isn't Alice in Chains, though. He has his own influences and adapted the song with his own style. He isn't trying to be Alice in Chains, he's just covering one of their songs with his own style.
