Using automatic seam sealer it appears that you have to start roof on the right hand side using seam sealer in the uphill direction. If you start sealing panels from left to right, then seam would be oriented in the incorrect direction.
I am not sure I understand exactly what you are saying, but going to take a stab at this. My response is directly from the manufacturer of the tool. Per DMI Seamers: I think the customer is saying that if you started laying the panels from left to right you would have to start the seamer at the top of the roof and run it down to the eave. The seam would be on the left side in his scenario. Which is perfectly fine as long as you have someone making sure the seamer doesn't run off of the roof. If they are following our field guide practices of tethering the seamer and guiding it along at all times it shouldn't be a problem. I hope this helps.
that's what I get for being left handed. It seams that there would be times that left to right may be required. I will get back after I try it.
Why don't they hook it on the drip edges?

Then you run the tool ypside down. Im currently doing that on a zinc double lock system.
