I wonder if there was ever a moment when Michael thought he might get whacked. Like a Donnie brasco situation where he got “sent for” and thought maybe he was about to be clipped and wasn’t. Because I’m sure in that life you have to almost always be a little on edge. A little anxious about every situation and how it may go wrong, or something you said or did being taken wrong by someone else, etc.

None of these mob guys/former mob guys have ever produced evidence like Joey has. I like Michael in many ways and his father was a gentleman and a tough guy, but in that life, according to the strict rules of Cosa Nostra, you are not allowed to associate with anyone who cooperated with the government, including family members. Many mob guys break the rules all the time but if you wanna go strictly by the book, Sonny was supposed to disown them. I personally could never disown my family but that's just me.
