    I love how he remembers so much about your father and still defends him saying “I never knew him to be a liar” it’s fascinating that they claimed dishonorable discharge on both of your fathers and it wasn’t true. This is a beautiful interview and insight. Thank you for sharing it and your history. It’s truly eye opening to hear your perspectives.

    Ever since I watched the Godfather part 1 on AMC during Thanksgiving time when I was 13 years old. That movie changed the way I looked at life. I grew up with a single mom, my mom dragged me to the Catholic church by the ear, I'm babtised, performed my first communion, and confirmation. I always love to watch the Godfather during Thanksgiving and Christmas time because I have a lot to be thankful for. The Godfather part 1 is the Best!

After some time of getting to know him, I asked why did you leave Chicago. His answer was very clear, “to disappear away from his family lifestyle”. I admit that i never thought that one kind of Superstar and coaching leader like Michael (if i could call him this), got a channel like this. Its awesome and facinating, people apologize me but this channel is only pure gold. Specially for the fact that always had been apassionate about the history of the families like Gambino, Bonanno and Colombo. Excuse me my rudimentary english

  • @mosescola4174
    @mosescola4174 Год назад +43

    Joe Colombo was ruthless! The Italians did what they had to do because so many were being discriminated against when they arrived in America. The large history behind certain families were written in lakes of blood.

      Is that the way it was in the 1960s?

    • @FortValance
      @FortValance Год назад +12

      Any person living in a foreign country is discriminated against by the natives.
      Nobody wants an influx of unknowns landing in their community disrupting the demographics and unsettling their sense of security.
      In the case of Italians in America running a nationwide organised crime syndicate of racketeering, extortion, shy locking, corruption etc..... it doesn't really help with the integration process does it?
      In the UK right now we have a huge influx of Albanian criminal gangs who are doing the same thing in our cities and we weren't exactly struggling to fill organised crime employment vacancies to begin with.
      Immigration can be beneficial if the newcomers are trained and skilled qualified professionals who intend to work and contribute but 99% of the ones landing here are just scroungers with ulterior motives.

    This was the BEST interview I've ever seen between to Italian men. He speaks more truths, and more positive about the Italian people than I've heard in years. People need to be proud of their heritage and embrace the family values, and wanting to assimilate into America that the people that cane here originally thought and brought with them. I'm a proud Italian American. When I was young my father used to say there's only 2 type of people. The first part of that was "There are Italians, and if you're Italian you know the rest. God Bless you Mike, and Chris. Thanks for the great sitdown.
