I live in the Cascadia Subduction Zone and we are in for a real nightmare of a megaquake that will cause extensive damage and loss of life and it will be the worst disaster in both Canadian and American history.
It's only a matter of time before the megaquake hits us hard.
    Very scary.

When this happens; the Cascadia Subduction Zone will generate an earthquake and tsunami that will be far worse than the earthquake and tsunami in Japan on March 11th, 2011.

Interesting video! I was expecting to see an actual ground shaking comparison of earthquakes of different magnitudes. Also, some scenes in this video are very fictional and do not reflect what would really happen in reality. That is the reason why I have started my earthquake simulation channel 2 years ago and hopefully I can clearly communicate anything related to earthquake hazards through my simulations. I also made an Earthquake Size Comparison video if anyone is interested in seeing the ACTUAL simulated ground shaking levels applied to buildings and structures. Stay safe everyone! :)

How to survive there was an earthquake even bigger than the Chilean one and I think the 1950s or 60s I'm not sure which year you mentioned 66 million years ago the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs hit the Earth and and caused the global earthquake anywhere from 12 to 13 on the Richter scale that could have lasted anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes probably about a half hour though

    Abstract :
The energy that dominates the earth is very great, some of it is natural, like the heat of the sun and volcanoes, and some of it is human action, by cutting down trees, without replacing them and cultivating in their place...
There are five forces that control or dominate the planet...
1- The first theory (horizontal dynamic movement) and its end...
The occurrence of storms, rain, floods and snow, at unexpected times and places, is because of the expiration of this theory, which needs to be balanced...
2- The second theory (vertical dynamic movement) and its end...
This movement or force controls or dominates the earthquakes, earth cracks, drying up of rivers and lakes, earth openings, mountain collapses, and the emergence of drinking water springs on the ground...
    It becomes out of control...
These phenomena increased due to the end of this theory...
The third theory: it is water that rotates the earth...
The fourth theory: the Earth's axis of rotation has tilted 2° degrees...
The fifth theory: The Earth has a new orbit...
These studies had completed and sent on July 26th 2000

The occurrence of stoms, rains, ice, and floods at times and in unexpected places, confirms my theory the end of the (dynamic horizontal movement )which needs to balance and it sill under control to balance...
But about earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, sinkholes, tsunami, dry lakes and rivers, flow of water from the mountains and hills, explodeand of eyes water from the ground, formation of new mountains or islands, collaps of mountains ,and cracks on ground,& ,& ,&,they are out of control or balance...

When talking about any serious issue, a proverb without solutions sounds like the bellows on a flute without a beautiful melody...
When explaining topics such as (climate change and global warming), several environmental, geographical, physical, agricultural, and chemical possibilities must be included, with solutions...
Any research that does not include these sciences is considered incomplete. Yousif Ayoub Tobiya
