Ashton, this here is merely a show- case depicting those qualities in folks which you admire; but it makes it no less authentic. The human condition has been very much exposed from the beginning; both the wicked as well as the good. Try to remember that. I know that there are times and reasons we some- times fill our minds with that too often make this near impossible. Remember that unlike your predecessors, your exposure to all the world is 'unprecedented'. Those good folks and wonderful qualities are still out there - nonetheless. I promise. Your comment sheds light on what you hold dear in people, and in yourself. You're not alone Ashton. But too often, it sure can feel that way. 👍
Ill never forget the first time I watched an episode of Bonanza. I thought it was slightly cheesy in the shoot ups and fights, but it also had a sense of humour mixed in with it, which eventually had me gripped to it. And also the way Cartwright seniors sons look nothing like him hahaha
Henry Hull (Charlie) portrayed a scout for General John Charles Fremont (who, in real life, was the grandfather of Hull's wife) in the episode "The Mission"
"Charlie, test that water again." "No need to, Captain. Kelly himself will prove I was right." "Sgt. Bring a canteen." "Don't bother doin' that, he can't swallow it no-how." Man, Bonanza had some dark lines.
Henry Hull also played "Sheriff B. Banneman Brown" in Bonanza season 1 episode 19 "The Gunmen" January 23,1960. ruclips.net/video/lwqwN-1UJ3I/видео.html This episode, "The Mission," aired September 17, 1960, season 2 episode 2. He plays "Charlie Trent."
I like the theme song.. If you click on an episode with the fancy writing on it (usually season 1 and 2), it always has this theme. It might be something with copyright, but idk
You certainly know how to make people look very non focused. In the Mission of Bonanza, Charlie shoots Cutter and never ducks and takes a bullet. A good desert scout? Hell to the no! Kids do better than that.
@@Christianpaul71 . Four months ago I heard him say "back in 1953". Now he is saying "back in 53". But there seems to be a disconnect between him saying "back in" and him saying "53". It is almost like a piece of the audio was edited out. I know what I am saying sounds farfetched, but......

One of the best episodes ever!!
Henry Hull & Peter Whitney…amazing actors. 👏👏👏
Peter Whitney has a magnificent way with words and a great character actor
Hoss he made the Bonanza show .
I sure wish there was still this kind of respect in the world along with good caring people it sure is hard to find if it's still here

Great episode. I love the friendship between Hoss and Charlie, Hoss really cares about the old man.
bad episode, way too loud
No better way to tell a man you believe in him than to put your life into his hands.
Hull and Dehner, such great character actors are a thing of the past now.
but we'll never forget 'em

Shout out to Bonanas for Bonanza fans!
Henry Hull....what an incredible actor!
No bottle is deep enough to quench the thirst in a man's soul.
Hoss is a great man
ALL RANCHERS ARE MEAN PEOPLE!😡THEY ARE CRUEL TO ANIMALS.💔

Damn good writing and acting. You think you're THERE.

Yes Good stories. Great episode.

Dehydration changes your thinking.
Drinking (booze) makes it FAR worse.
44:21, Charlie fools the gunman holding them captive!

Why some men are so evil 😈 to tamper with waterhole each one they came to that desert Mohave or death valley?
Poison doesn't work that quickly, especially when it's been diluted with that much water.
then drimk the loud
Why in tarnation did they have to change the theme music?
WATER too..Love
No social security for Charlie.

Why is there never any blood when someone gets shot.
Because it was obscene back I the 1960s to show tons of blood in movies or shows probably

Love bonanza but it really throws you off when they play the wrong theme song to start with.
and thy play it too loud
Copyright issues? Who owns the original Bonanza theme? We know Michael Jackson stole the Lennon & McCartney music.
Michael Jackson didn't write the Beatles songs. He did buy the rights to their entire music catalog from them.
COULDNT GET THE RIGHTS.
These episodes are public domain, but the show's theme song isn't.
