Bonanza starring Lorne Greene as Benjamin "Ben" Cartwright, Dan Blocker as Eric "Hoss" Cartwright, Michael Landon as Joseph "Joe" Cartwright, & David Canary as Candy Canady, also starring Neil "Bing" Russell as Deputy Sheriff Clem Foster, & Harry Holcombe as Dr.Paul Martin. Episode "the Stalker" guest stars Charlotte Stewart, Lloyd Battista, John Perak, Vernon Weedle, Pitt Herbert, Dorothy Konrad, Brian Dewey, Justin Roberts, & Ed Griffith.
Wow! My sentiments exactly! Really dumb this one cause all they had to tell the boy was the truth! His father was trying to rob someone and Canadie simply called to him and he tried to kill Canadie! Oh but then of course they couldn’t have their sad ending. 🙄
Similar to Shakespeare, tragedy, irony, love, hatred, confusion, relationship challenges, and life turns the pages' into another chapter. Great storyline.
Makes no sense... they could have gotten married and moved someplace else to start fresh. The kid would be unlikely to ever learn the "details" of their dad's death that way.
The issue that separated them in the end was really a non-issue. The little boy would eventually discover the circumstances of his father's death. When he learned about those circumstances, he would learn that someone killed his father in self-defense. At that point it wouldn't matter to him whether Candy killed his father or the tooth fairy killed his father. Candy could easily have maintained a good, solid, honest relationship with him. Well, maybe not easily. It still would have taken a bit of work. But they could have worked it all out. There was no good reason for Candy and the boy's mom to separate like that.
Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?sin will not be your downfall. 21“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.
Turn the equation around. What if Candy was your brother... would you think it fair that someone blames him for their criminal brother's death when he was shot in self defense? Putting blood ahead of a reasonable acceptance of the facts is what hillbillies do...
@@rhymereason3449 Touche! But even if Candy was my brother I still don't think he should Marry Lisa Campbell because it just feels like bad chemistry and the people in town will make all their lives even more miserable!
how did this idiotic garbage run for 14 years ? this is about the worst sickest writing of any western , its just a pathetic horse -opera , like Pernell(Adam) Roberts said before he had to quit

It is a great Episode
Good movie as always
😁😁😁👍👍👍💋❤❤❤❤💗
Good grief - why did the writers of Bonanza always have to have a sad ending when any of the Cartwrights (Candy included) found love. So annoying!!!
Wow! My sentiments exactly! Really dumb this one cause all they had to tell the boy was the truth! His father was trying to rob someone and Canadie simply called to him and he tried to kill Canadie! Oh but then of course they couldn’t have their sad ending. 🙄
Thanks for posting this. I will skip this episode now. I have actually yelled at the screen when they kill someone off for no reason. Blessings!
@@tedhardulak7698 Idk if you skipped the episode as you claimed you would, but the writers didn’t kill off a regular, just some neighbor guy. 🙃
I agree
Does Will count? He found and kept love, even if it was off screen.
Poor Candy, not even a kiss😢 to that beautiful woman 😭😭. All kiss, kiss kiss to Little Joe, not fair😡.
Wow. She is gorgeous.
Another very sad one
You could simply say his father was killed while robbing someone.
Well , thats the truth , pure and simple .

The real issue is why does little Joe never use his stirrups to get on his horse.
@@bugsandlin6567 With the lifts in his boots he doesn't need the stirrups.
i disagree. i think that was a very good reason. it would matter to the kid who killed his father.

Actually I was on Jake's side. I couldn't stand it either if someone killed my brother and was going to marry my sister-in-law.
Your Nuts!
