As a result of both fandom and film portrayal, Evie's character has been vastly transformed from its original form. I present a call to action for all fanfiction writers, and I address who I think Evie should be as well as how the release of D3 completely destroyed her character.

I agree completely. Evie definitely has her moments where she can be vain and can get angry. And I agree with you completely about how much they changed her personality in D3. I personally try to change her character up a little bit by adding in occasional competitiveness and her fighting and getting protective over Mal and stuff in my stories like her fighting with Uma and the others whenever Mal gets hurt or then Uma is messing with her. And I add in a little of her vainess by having her freak out on Audrey when she saw what she put Mal in lol and also when she didn't want to play in the mud with Mal because she didn't want to get her outfit dirty. I also try to add in some of her over confidence like her over confidence in how she parents as she feels like she’s some expert when she really has a lot of parenting flaws lol. But I do agree with what you’re saying and I do feel like I could try to add in more of those characteristics since I agree that Evie and Uma did deserve more.
