  • This video just shows how to finish off and weave in the tails of your beanie. I also give a fun tip on weighing your project to see how much yarn you've used. Pretty fun!

Hi! First of all I learned to crochet from you. I've taken bits & pieces from dozens of videos but yours just work for me, so thank you. About 100 washcloths later & two blankets I was ready for a different "shape" & I ended up here. I successfully completed this little beanie no problem, with your video. Question, what do I do with the tail left over from the very beginning, just weave it in I am assuming?

Oh my word! I'm so honored!! Goodness, thank you! I'm so glad my videos work for you!
Yes, you weave in the beginning tail in the same way you weave in the one at the end. If you have a hole at the top (because you chained instead of using the magic ring, or maybe it didn't close all the way), you can weave the tail into the first row kind of like a drawstring and pull it tight to make the hole disappear. Or just weave it in however strikes your fancy!

I'm sorry I don't have more videos than I do -- I create them for a local class I teach, but we've had some family struggles lately that take up a lot of my time. If you ever have questions or anything (even about a different pattern), the faster way to reach me is messaging me on my FB page:

But comments here are fine, too. All the best to you!
