Sorry for the late reply. You should run a cleaning rod and a patch or mop sprayed with your choice of cleaning solvent. I like remoil. Then run a dry patch/mop once the tube is clean so that it will not leave any oil residue inside the tube. If you find rust, or dirt that is stubborn, you can use a bronze brush , or even some scotchbrite pad on a large jag/patch holder to scour the inside.
@@johnis4jesus It's hard trying to load 4 rounds into the Rifle, It was my Dads Rifle He never fired it bought it NIB in 1954 & passed it down to me, I am not a Mechanical type of a guy, Was thinking to bring it to my local Gun Smith & ask him to Clean it out for me, I feel that the Original Spring in the Tube may have to be cut down, So it will be easier to Load it. I believe. He forgot to replace the follower in the magazine tube. he showed it and laid it aside to the right.
