It came to a surprise for me that women are stigmatized against being homemakers, by other women no less. One would think they'd be happy that they're happy not going out there and killing themselves like their men do. It baffles me, specially when guys prefer coming home after a hard day work to the one thing that makes them happy, and not an empty shell. For me personally, it would bring me endless joy to come home to a loving wife, my children and a hot meal after dealing with the corporate monster that is enterprise. For any man seeing the prosperity of his labor shine like a beacon of light through his family is one worth going back out there each and every day. Men go to war to protect their property, their culture and their families after all.
I was a stay at home wife and mother. I also was accused of being lazy, and was asked many times well what do you do all day? I enjoyed being home with my children, being hone when they got off the school bus! Not having to come home to an empty house! I realize many Mom’s don’t have that luxury and we did make a lot of sacrifices so I could! I have never regretted it!
Also people forget that a lot of people who are “working” don’t necessarily work harder than people who stay home. It depends on the job. I’ve seen a lot of people just standing around at their job pretending to work, so yeah, people shaming you for staying home have no right.
I have been asked that question SO MANY times by other women and I get the “oh! You’re one of THEM “ look. I quit my job right after getting married, had my son 4 years later, stayed home with him until he was old enough to be by himself. During the 3 and a half years I worked several jobs and quit all of them because of drama and crappy bosses. I realize that I’m better off being at home.
Yes I love your day in the life vlog style videos so much!!! It’s just so inspiring and motivating to see how you live and all your routines throughout the day, the cooking, what you decide to do with your time and where you go, etc. I just recently became a stay at home wife about 6 months ago after working for the last 10 years of my life (I’m 25 years old as well and pregnant with my first child who’s not due for another 3.5 months), so I’m excited when I get so much inspiration and motivation from seeing your life! I've learnt so much from you. You're incredibly resourceful and you're so attentive to detail. Have you heard of cake mascara? I've ordered one from Besame, and it's water-based and apparantly good for oily eyelids, can be used for brows and eyeliner as well, lasts 2 years (or less, if you use it often😂), just needs water to activate, and comes in a cute tin which is so 1920s~😍😍 I hope you're always happy and joyful in life, it makes me happy to see such inspiring women like you who are so engaging and are so comfortable with your viewers and treat us like family! That would depend on what Pets you have but I would recommend the dust pan and brush thats made of a rubber like material, they are fantastic at sweeping off hay and hair from carpet, sofas etc anything material based Although with hay it's best to use the rubber like ones on most surfaces as the hay can get stuck in the normal brushes
I enjoy these vlogs! Thank you for sharing your day with us! I live 2 1/2 hours from the city so I know the feeling of it being an outing lol! I love that lint roller! I think it works wonderfully. I hope you get some good use out of it. I make sure my kitchen is spotless before I go to sleep. Dishes, run dishwasher, clean counters, disinfect countertops, scrub sink, disinfect sink, and then I replace kitchen towels with fresh ones if they need it.
Humble Homemaking sounds like a good routine! And oh my, you do live far from the city! Lol 😂 I have yet to try the new lint roller, but I’m hoping to this week
I'm a stay at home wife now that the kiddos are in college. Loved the video...just a note....when you have kiddos...it's more like 3 to 4 loads of wash per day 🤣 bright blessings

Just one more Aveda sells a sunscreen mist specifically for your scalp and hair!! Great product especially in the summer. Also the way you are curling your hair is very damaging for the ends. I used to be a hairstylist, you should curl it from the root to the ends and only touch on the ends a little, and if the temp on your iron can make cookies it’s too hot! xx looking forward to more videos

Indeed, being a Grateful Homemaker requires substantial efforts as to continuously cook, bake, and clean. Today, I cleaned our guest bedroom, guest bathroom, and kitchen for nearly 3 hours. Hence, "you know you're properly cleaning when you start to sweat", lol.
So good to see your video. I’m a stay at home wife myself. And I love my life with my husband and a fur baby couldn’t picture it any other way. The only thing I miss is friends. Can’t make friends staying home as everyone is working and has a busy schedule. That’s the only one thing I miss.
Lovedd watching this video. You asked about the putting kitchen to bed. I actually also enjoy scrubbing my sink once the days done. I'll typically use a wash cloth and an orange/vinegar cleaner i made to clean my kitchen, then ill use the same to scrub my sink, and follow with rinsing the basin out with a full coffee pot of hott water

I loved this! I start my day to Christian sermons , RUclips channels, etc, too! And, coffee and chai tea. But, I’m glad you showed cleaning the toilet and all the [hard] work your lifestyle requires. It’s not just sitting at home watching Netflix all day. I didn’t consider all this would require daily 😩 it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Some days I wake up at 5:30 and some days I wake up at 8 like today. It honestly depends on my cycle, because my energy levels fluctuate a lot since I have sensitive hormones. I do tutor children some days in the week 🥰💛

I’ve watched your show and wonder sometimes if I’m expecting too much, but yet you are able to pull this off with animals like we have and we also recently moved... My wife says I expect too much, but I work 9+ a day and still manage to make my own meals, prepare my clothing, I process the bills, walk our dog often... I help clean the kitchen sink items as that piles up... my wife doesn’t work (other than being a house wife). Am I asking too much to wish for these things that I see you doing in a day? How do I ask for more from her without upsetting her?
I have friends who wanna be a stay at home wife but that lifestyle ain’t for me like i’m an artist and i want to run my own architecture and interior design bussiness and design furniture. Like i’ma get into college in September and i’m actually working really hard for it to happen bcuz i wanna start working since my 1st/2nd year of college. Like while most friends my age think about relationships i think about achievements. Like i always cared about achievements more than about relationship. I feel worthless without them. Plus i am also really materialistic and love clothes and exotic vacations and nothing is ever enough. I’m too proud and have a too large ego to depend financially on anyone(except my parents until i can get my own job). Like all i care about is running a successful bussiness in what passionates me making a lot of money i want a big house a cat big closet and lavish vacations and donating to children who don’t have much. Like i want a relationship as well but i prioritize my career over it and i want my bf to be rich

The only draw back as a stay at home housewife is that their are very high possibilities of the husband have mistress's at his work place , while we don't have any mutual friends or any new people , we are only dedicated to our husbands and children. And it doesn't balance well
Cynthia I loved your vlog but I can't watch you cleaning the sink anymore. Please PLEASE stop the water when not actively using it. It's such a waste! There's really no need to have the water running down the drain when you're scrubing the sides of the sink. Get it wet, stop the water, scrub it and than wash away. You can save the water and the money for it. Thank you

I just had a chuckle when she said fly lady may have invented scrubbing the sink. Growing up in a black household, we'd scrub the sink after every meal.
Cynthia, my wife and I are also Christians. God bless! I’ve watched your show and wonder sometimes if I’m expecting too much, but yet you are able to pull this off with animals like we have and we also recently moved... My wife says I expect too much, but I work 9+ a day and still manage to make my own meals, prepare my clothing, I process the bills, walk our dog often... I help clean the kitchen sink items as that piles up... my wife doesn’t work (other than being a house wife). Am I asking too much to wish for these things that I see you doing in a day? How do I ask for more from her without upsetting her?
I have friends who wanna be a stay at home wife but that lifestyle ain’t for me like i’m an artist and i want to run my own architecture and interior design bussiness and design furniture. Like i’ma get into college in September and i’m actually working really hard for it to happen bcuz i wanna start working since my 1st/2nd year of college. Like while most friends my age think about relationships i think about achievements. Like i always cared about achievements more than about relationship. I feel worthless without them. Plus i am also really materialistic and love clothes and exotic vacations and nothing is ever enough. I’m too proud and have a too large ego to depend financially on anyone(except my parents until i can get my own job). Like all i care about is running a successful bussiness in what passionates me making a lot of money i want a big house a cat big closet and lavish vacations and donating to children who don’t have much. Like i want a relationship as well but i prioritize my career over it and i want my bf to be rich
Haha you're relatable ,but we can't have it all we have to prioritize few things and sacrifice some things ,some narrow minded people bully stay at home wives

That apron looks good on you. The Dollar Tree is my favorite store never again will I got shopping at a CVS store and buy something simple for almost $5 by the way you wash a load of clothes a day wow that's a lot.

The only draw back as a stay at home housewife is that their are very high possibilities of the husband have mistress's at his work place , while we don't have any mutual friends or any new people , we are only dedicated to our husbands and children. And it doesn't balance well

Cynthia I loved your vlog but I can't watch you cleaning the sink anymore. Please PLEASE stop the water when not actively using it. It's such a waste! There's really no need to have the water running down the drain when you're scrubing the sides of the sink. Get it wet, stop the water, scrub it and than wash away. You can save the water and the money for it. Thank you
