I lived on Tradeswind Drive in Baywood when I was in college in the early 80’s. My parents had a home in the next neighborhood south. Daughter and Son in law still live within 2 blocks of this area. I got off the coast 4 years ago. So very sad for the families who lost everything.

Not sure if it was this video or the other one but some of those homes look like they were setting up higher even though they were along the intercoastal. Not only that some of them didn't even have any debris out by the curb. So either they had someone come and take it away already or they were wise and moved everything up to another level so it wouldn't get destroyed. Or they weren't home.

Just makes me cry. My twin and her husband, her daughter and her husband have huge homes on Clearwater beach. It is bad but they are alive and have the best insurance. I am not worried for them. I am so sick for the people who have lost it all. I couldnt sleep last night. I had been watching other videos. I wish I could help.

Why can't some of the furnishings be saved? I understand mattresses, but can't refrigerators, washing machines and dryers be rinsed and rebuilt?

It’s been saturated with salt water, most of it will not look very nice as it dries out. Risk of mold development. If it were mine, I’d do the same.

Can you reach out to your sister to find out how she is doing so you don't have to worry? According to the title this is in Dunedin which is mainland and not on Clearwater Beach.

This is Baywood Dr in Dunedin, it's about 4-5 miles North by CAR on the intercoastal waterfront (Alt. 19), ... but probably only a mile across the intercoastal water to Clearwater Beach & Bay Esplanade. The whole bridge over to Clearwater Bch is restricted to residents only right now, so that's why there aren't many videos for that area.
The 2 channels where I've seen some good video of Clearwater Bch in general (but not the Bay Esplanade neighborhood) are this one and "JLR Investigates" (he parked @ the bridge and was on foot).
