as long as the lumbar spine and core are kept tight during the lift, its completely safe. Ensuring that movement is only kept through the thorasic spine as a way to wrap yourself around the ball and pulling the ball in tight to the chest as a way to keep the cervical spine and shoulders in an active position, your lower back will remain safe. provided you dont over-extend in the hips during the lift either
in another Atlas Stone instructional video, Rob explains that you arent going to be doing enough of these lifts to become overbalanced on one side and these sort of movements shouldnt have as much of a strict focus on a particular technique or a set sequence, but rather about what feels comfortable. So if it feels natural to lift it to one shoulder over the other, then lifting equally shouldnt be first preference

Awesome work
on technique side why not to learn to be bilateral here - and not creating more asymmetries throughout the body
great video!
That's great until they get into heavier stones and tear a bicep lifting it off their lap
how should you do it otherwise, I mean to spare your biceps - any tips?
@@yeet-vb2kc thanks!
feet too wide when lapping
Fuck I wanna lift a stone now!
Good workout
What was the song used on this please, anyone?
I honestly was surprised to discover Rob doesn't smile ALL the time
What are they made of?
tears and gravel!
Polystyrene
Gawd Damn! Homeboy made me sweat!😭😭😭
The part when you move it from the hips to your shoulder looks kinda risky for the back doesn't it?
sakrete/quikcrete 5000 plus
Looks exhausting, but always keep a sharp eye out for pain sensors telling you to take it easy.
bajraiii
A sick part of me wanted them to drop it on a foot.
